  1. These leaderboards are for Super Metroid ROM hacks.
  2. The original game's leaderboards are located at deertier.com
  3. Resources for the original game can be found at deanyd.net/sm and crocomi.re
  4. Hacks, patches, and resources related to hacking Metroid games are at metroidconstruction.com
  5.
  6. If you would like to submit a run for a hack/category that is not here, then let me know.
  7. Either make a post on the series forum, or tweet at me @ElminsterSRL
  8.
  9. Rules:
  10. Unless specified, categories follow the original game's "No Major Glitches" ruleset.
  11. This means out of bounds glitches, Space-Time beam, and Golden Torizo code are banned.
  12.
  13. Categories:
  14. Most hacks will have an Any% and a 100% category.
  15. Other categories such as Low%, Map Completion, and categories with Major Glitches may be added if runs exist for them.
  16.
  17. Timing:
  18. Timing begins upon selecting Start Game on a 0:00 file.
  19. If there is an intro (narrative text and/or Space Colony cutscene) then it should be cleared before doing the run.
  20. Timing ends upon entering Samus's ship during the escape sequence, or otherwise triggering the ending.
  21.
  22. Platforms:
  23. Snes9x v1.5x, higan, and SNESGT are allowed emulators.
  24. Snes9x v1.43, ZSNES, and uosnes are banned emulators.
  25. Emulators on Wii homebrew such as Snes9x GX and RetroArch are allowed. They are considered SNES emulators, NOT Wii VC.
  26. SNES console runs are done on original hardware, using either a reproduction cart, or a flash cart such as the SD2SNES or Super EverDrive.
  27. Wii VC runs are done with an injected WAD. I will post a tutorial on how to create one soon.
