The battle of Tau Ceti

A black eagle has hovered over Tau-Ceti,
He swore to be victorious,
From all sides, crows sneak
In the furrows and in the sunken lanes.
But suddenly, the second fleet pride trumpets:
Stand up, stand up soldiers!
The star shines, everywhere the cannon thunders,
Young heroes, here is the big fight.

The enemies advance in rage,
Huge waves of a living ocean,
Sowing death everywhere on their path,
Inspired by noise, carnage and blood;
They will pass ... when raising their head,
An officer in a supreme effort,
Though dying, shouts: Bayonets!
Hardy guys, get up! Arise the dead!

But our children, in a sublime rush,
Stood up; and soon the black eagle,
furious, powerless in front of its crime,
Saw his supreme hope disappear.
The vile crows before the Solarian soul
Fall bloody, this is the last fight
While we celebrate the victory,
The assassins flee from the soldiers.

And Tau-Ceti, the victorious,
Utter a cry, carried beyond the skies
Echoes from the towers of Ceti-Epsilon,
Courage! They will not !
No more rage, no more arrogance,
Flee barbarians and lackeys,
This is the gateway to Sol,
And you will never, ever succeed !
