Being the only child with working parents, she was mostly left alone but her parents had never ever have to be worried about her. She could take care of herself without anyone and was always considered to be mature. She always packs her own lunches, cooks breakfast & dinner, walks to and back from school/college, complete her homework/assignment and stays out of trouble. Her grades very just above average but not straight A's and her parents was content with them, as long as their child is happy. Being worried that she would be harmed physically in anyway, they sent her to do Kendo(her father's wish since the father does it as a hobby) and Taekwondo(her mother's choice as she is korean and believes it will help her). Rena doesn't really mind and is more of a child who likes to do things that will benefit her, since her parents are paying for it and she got nothing else better to do but to learn more, she agreed. She had never felt lonely, as she has a small group of friends and she had always like to be alone.

Her parents were average parents who go to work and come back home tired, but they do have weekends off which allows them to bond which keeps her happy.
