  1. 1. During a round of Ninja, you are faxed by Station Command inquiring about an “inspector” who claims to have been sent by the company to evaluate each of the station's departments. How do you respond, and why?

  4. i would respond saying that we have no inspection recorded for the aurora at this time, but that it could very easily be a clerical error due to the vast amount of data handled by the odin. i would ask the command staff to please try to get a name for the inspector and/or a photograph of their face so that we can cross reference it with our records and sort out the error. i'd do this because while it would be very easy to say "no, this guy isn't real you have a problem", it would ruin the ninja's gimmick pretty early on which wouldn't be that good for them or the round overall

  7. 2. During a round of Crossfire, you are faxed by Station Command about a team of mercenaries who have reported a band of pirates operating in the area. They wish to offer their services to the station as additional security. Command is asking you for your advice on the situation. How do you respond, and why?

  10. this one depends mostly on the manifest of the round at the time. if there's a lack of security staff, i would advise the command staff to use their own judgement on if the mercenaries are needed or not, and remind them that they have funds in the vault to pay their fee if they feel that the extra security is needed. if there's a large amount of security staff, i would fax back saying that the security department should be able to handle any security concerns that arise, but that the mercenaries are free to contact the odin to attempt to arrange for a more permanent hiring as an ERT

  13. 3. You receive an Emergency Broadcast System message from the station’s Artificial Intelligence. It claims that there is an emergency situation, and requests an immediate ERT deployment. How do you respond?
  14. LeudoberctToday at 19:47
  15. if there's command staff on the manifest, my response would be that the artifical intelligence should not be making this request, as there are command staff on duty who are there to make the call on if an ERT is required. if there's a complete lack of command staff, i would fax back asking the ai for further information on the situation and possibly photographs of what necessitates the deployment of a valuable ERT, considering it could be possible that this is just the result of an ion law. if it does provide valid proof that there's a situation that warrants an ERT, only then would they get one

  18. 4. In your opinion, how much of a role should Central Command play in the affairs of the station? When is it appropriate for them to directly intervene, and how much should they attempt to shape the round when they do?
  19. LeudoberctToday at 19:50
  20. central command should be for the most part detached from the goings on in the station. the players of the round are there to shape what happens in a round, not central command. they should mostly be there to provide guidance if the command staff of the station can't make a response themselves. i think it's only appropriate for a direct intervention if there is absolutely no way the station staff can handle an ongoing situation, and even when they do interact they shouldn't try to massively change the flow of the round, only providing something to help keep the round interesting

  23. 5. In resolving an Incident Report, when should a character receive significant disciplinary action (such as a demotion), as opposed to a lighter response such as a warning or retraining? Under what circumstances would you consider terminating a character's employment?
  24.
  25. LeudoberctToday at 19:55
  26. i think the only times a character should receive significant punishment should be when there is a breach of a high severity crime in corporate regulations, such as mutiny, attempted murder etc. even then, i would mostly consider these things a final solution, because ultimately the decision made is going to have a significant impact on someone's enjoyment of their character, and we're all here to have fun at the end of the day. i would generally tend to prefer to give lighter punishments where reasonable, such as when there has been logical reasoning for these actions, even if they still broke the regs. for terminating someone's contract, that would be the very maximum of what i would consider as a punishment, seeing as it's essentially deleting someone's character- i would only consider this for the most serious of infractions, typically those that would warrant the intervention of the FIB for example
