Story of Nexus

Nexus was a biologically engineered human weapon, essentially the foundation that made him wanted human weapons that would replace soldiers. And Nexus was the first of what was  many failed attempts that finally showed success. He wasn't treated like a person, the only one who even showed any humanity towards him was his mother who conceived him. Though he never saw her often due to the constant experiments on his powers and figuring out what abilities he had. And the stress, pain, and mental anguish slowly chipped away at his psyche, slowly breaking him down over the years till he snapped,. He killed one scientist in a fit of rage. "No more pain" "Make it stop" "I don't like this" Years of pleas and tears, begging and struggling finally boiling over in a bloody, violent outburst that saw several faculty members dead and his own mother as a casualty. Seeing his mother die before him at a point in his preteens where he was already unstable mentally was the final nail. Nothing mattered. He didn't kill her, 'they' did. 'they' made him, 'they' tortured him, treated him like an object. 'they' had to be disposed of. And so he did. Body after body, blood spilling, he saw to their ruin.

Pain was nothing, he'd grown numb through the experiments. Bullets didn't phase him, blades didn't sting, he'd heal them back, what happened to his body was of little consequence. And soon, the facility was a grave site, and he wandered for three years before being captured by another branch. He had slowly since then pieced his broken mind back but the mental damage remained. He'd bide his time till a power out, then make his escape. Once more the same song and dance, "Stop there!", "Halt!". All the same, they died regardless, and he would see the destruction of this branch too, going on a twisted crusade, tearing down each branch killing innocent and guilty alike before he'd meet what he would come to know as 'Friends'. He didn't like them at first but they grew on him, and soon learned through his crusade of a sister; Siren. With the help of his friends he'd have rescued his sister, only to later lose her to an unknown illness, her sister could draw in life energy on top of using her voice to manipulate vibrations, lure people, or hypnotize them. So, Nexus gave his own life.

Instead of destroying he would save, and gave every bit of his life to her. He would 'die' among friends who commended him on his noble sacrifice and was later buried. under a cherry blossom tree. A year later he'd awaken and emerge from the grave, renewed, stronger. He'd caught wind of a new foundation that had since begun building in size. His job wasn't done. He'd soon gain noteriety garnering the title "Black Reaper" for the destruction and death left in his rampant wake. He would soon come across his equal, a girl made to be his counter. Lilith. He began to... Feel things... They felt... Odd but... Welcoming. He was falling in love. And Lilith was under the effects of brainwashing, a lengthy battle ensued before he finally broke the conditioning and whisked her away, a sense of "I have to protect her" filled him. He would reconvene with his friends, with Lilith and the group lived happily in their two story house in Japan, overlooking the ocean with a cherry blossom tree. His mother would later be found, having reincarnated as a cat girl. SHe would breif the others about a person named... The Director.

The group would gear up, preparing for their final mission, storm the HQ Base located in the Arctic. This would be a lengthy and long battle, but ended with the revelation that The Director was Nexus's and Siren's father, and former flame of his mother. A wild battle ensued with his friends escaping amidst the destruction, and ended with Nexus dealing the killing blow to The Director. The base was destroyed completely, smoke billowing, and in the center, stood Nexus, bloodied, charred, and bruised, fist raised in the air in victory. After some time, Lilith and Nexus would settle down, with Nexus proposing, and then, with the help of his mother, made Lilith fertile to bear children and so, Nyx was conceived, a child with both parent's skill sets. But, given a serum that would end at her 20th year as a full adult giving her a chance at a normal life, something her parents were deprived of.
