Tim backstory v1

Tim was born into a group of travelling merchants. He learned about the market and saw many interesting people and goods. His family dealt with barbarians and goblins alike. One night, his caravan was attacked by a group of goblins and his family mortally wounded. The goblins took tim, not even a teenager yet, and was forced to be a slave and go on raids with them. <br>

&nbsp;As he was scouting a town one night, he came across a house with many artifacts and a particular topped vase caught his eye. He picked it up and he&nbsp; could swear he heard whispers.&nbsp; He was compelled to open the vasr and as he did a cloud of smoke burst forth and he coughed. Little did he know that it was not smoke and it did not disperse, it entered his body and lie in wait. Tim began to have nightmares and heard the same voice that he heard when he picked up the vase,&nbsp; though he was always woken up by the goblins for sleeptalking and forgot&nbsp; what he dreamt. <br>

He could hardly stay awake after a few night if this and slept and slept through goblins smacking and hitting. While he slept, he was enticed by the voice to let him take over and tim could be free of his captors. Thinking it a dream, tim agreed and when he awoke the next morning, the goblins were dead and blood and stink filled the area. He gathered what items he could to sell so he could travel and eat, and ran away toward a town with a pillar of light he remembered he travelled to as a young boy with his caravan. He picked jewelry and money to buy food. He would sleep outside towns some nights and awake to townspeople aghast at the horrible ways someone they knew had died that night. He made it to the town with the wellspring, named Capital City, and nearly collapsed from exhaustion when he was found by a member of the aeroth sect coming back from gathering ingredients. He knew something was wrong and used a detect potion and found evil. <br>

Tim was taken to a skilled cleric group trusted by the sect and immediately sensed the evil in him. After studying and questioning, he surmised it was a demon, a kind known to posses humanoids, a guecubu. He found he could not kill it, so he tried to extract it. Tim told him he remembered opening a mysterious vase around the time the people started dying and a quest was put out to find it. they did find it and with some help, the cleric and his group subdued it into the vase. There was an aftereffect of the demon inhabiting tim; he could speak and understand its language, but otherwise there were no apparent side effects. <br>
<br>
With tim being alone in the city, he was taken in by the aeroth sect as an errand boy. The man who saved him, named Rogath, became like an uncle and always made sure he had food and warmth. When tim was old enough, he joined the guild and took up an offer to study&nbsp; in a gnomish village, where he stayed for a few years to improve his mechanical and tinkering abilities. He returned to Capital City and became a fully fledged member. Although he sometimes worked with groups, he preferred to work alone or with his friend Poncha, who also usually worked alone experimenting with new potions. <br>
<br>
Soon, Tim Justim, had heard of a new red crystal from Poncha, discovered in the mountains to the east of Carn&apos;s border, with unknown magical and alchemical properties. As Poncha was busy with a project and couldnt leave, Tim went on his own.<br>
<br>
Tim had to go the long way around through Sanctity to get to the mountains as there were warring tribes and dangerous creatures. Tim traversed into the cave and found crystals here and there but not much. He was mining away at a wall, when suddenly the wall and ground closest to it gave way and he fell into a hollow area lined with nothing but the red minerals. However, he was also punctured by many of the larger ones, and shards were embedded all over his body, leaving him bleeding and in pain. He managed to make it out with a potion of curing, and started back to the city, when he came across a thick misty wood...
