The Curious Connection Between Twins

Hi! My name is Lily, and I have an identical twin named Rose. Our mother thought it was cute to name us both after flowers, but that’s a minor detail and not important to what I’m about to tell you. You know how people say that some twins have special abilities? Like they can read each other’s thoughts, or communicate telepathically. Well for some that’s true. Rose and I are unique, however. While we can’t read minds or anything like that, we do have something that connects us that most people would consider supernatural. We have what’s called psychopalpation. We feel what each other feels on a physical level. For instance, if Rose stubs her toe or burns her hand, I feel the same pain she does the instant it happens. It might seem like a burden to most, and sometimes it really can be, but in our 20 years of life, we’ve learned to live with it.

Psychopalpation works not just with pain, but with other feelings like pleasure, which is where things can get really interesting. We discovered this when we were teenagers, experimenting with our own bodies, and we quickly realized we would have to come to an agreement for how to handle that kind of stuff so as not to interfere with each other’s lives. It was easy while we were in high school when our schedules were the same, and neither one of us were romantically involved with boys. But things changed when we both went off to college and we couldn’t keep the same schedule. It got even worse when Rose got her first boyfriend.

Rose was always more outgoing than me, and I was more worried about my studies than seeking the attention of boys. So it was only natural that she would be the first to find a boyfriend. She couldn’t tell him about our connection though. He’d think she was crazy. But at least she tried to keep me in the loop about when he was around when they first started dating and getting intimate with each other. It was really strange to experience that kind of stuff for the first time without an actual boy present, but at least they hadn’t started having sex yet. She’d send me texts every so often warning me that she was with him, letting me get somewhere private like our shared dorm room. In the case where I couldn’t get somewhere private, I’d reply letting her know now wasn’t a good time, and she was usually good about finding an excuse not to be intimate with him. But that wasn’t always the case...

Hey everyone! Thank you for reading my prompt! This is inspired by a [short story](https://www.reddit.com/r/DirtyWritingPrompts/comments/dgpmbe/pi_when_the_connection_between_twins_is_based_on/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) I wrote for /DirtyWritingPrompts a while back. The concept I had in mind for this is a bit different than most RP’s here. I’m looking for someone to play the part of Rose, but our actual interaction with each other would be minimal. What I’d like is for you to play out a scene with Rose and her boyfriend having sex, possibly for the first time, while I play Lily, who is stuck in a situation where she can’t escape the public eye. I would have to react to the things Rose and her boyfriend are doing while trying to hide the effect it’s having on me. I’ve never done an RP like this before, but it’s something I’ve been wanting to try since I wrote that short story.
