ronron lied while in a magic anti-lying fountain, stripped off his crystal and cobalt shoulder plate...

jason was trying to make the ultimate polymorph potion... lots of different species,
runes tied to jason's life force, exploded after he died...

found rune or something telling about immunity to disease, and some crap about clones of verlai... he got swapped into a clone body... some created mad creature got swapped into his body... there's some way ( got to zanthos) to put verlai back in his body... but have to cart crazy clone along w/ us, but he only has about a month...

flew back to shallows w/ crazy verlai clone... and set down the airship, chat w/ ragnar

lucius, and four dwarves are there... moe, rumble, weed, and boink...
and alvrick anvil breaker (paul...) dolgan's cousin from the same village... he's really excited to see dolgan, but the feeling's not mutual, but he has a scar on his face, and took a heavy blow to the head and goes into fits of rage

moe: turnip says there's wars up north, and just gets worse as you go south,

re-dor-i: moe?'s not been able to learn much about them, but he's pretty into taking them down

trouble in the south, part of alliance b/w torveth and vorwell (which has been attacked daily by seafaring slavers fron the chain isles to the south where ragnar was from... one of the isles controlled by the blasing sun alliance or some such)...

we fly to zanthos, several people watching sternward, while frobus burnt a pack of "inscense" axel dropped and zoned out focusing on the chest... (rolled a 14+4 perception at the magic chest)

when we approach xanthos, we see several other bigger, spiker airships... w/ lots of fancy walls and such, several brightly colored blimps in a lane pattern... 6x, 3 on each side, we'd be in shouting distance of each side right from the middle (these colored blimps are blowing frobus's frikkin mind...)

i sober up on the way into the berth...

after walking past a bunch of magic steampunk nonsense and "techmology"... 10 languages on all the signs they come upon a the "arrow and ashland institute", and "aurora institute of the arcane" looks like a college student center...

man in robe w/ 3 very attractive donkies shows up, trying to sell... donkies? no the ale strapped to the ugly one... but also food, and...

frobus bought some... horrible nightmare stuff, and some everything's funny... stuff from the strange donkey wizard who showed up... alvrick bought a cask of ale and got a reference to a rager going on in district 7

meanwhile dr ronan ronan did somethig that made verlai regress for a second then come back (w/ con check) and is saying he needs to hang around for... a few months? w/ some meds that'll keep him stable for longer and advance healing? maybe get him back?

depending on the length of time... this is a research opportunity... will get some research papers out of it... says usually clone spells make a copy hellbent on killing the original, but something went wrong...

crazy verlai clone tried to cast on me, so i gave some "everything's funny stuff" and bound his hands... then we got a mesasage to bring him to the institute, so we all get him over there (frobus, alrick, dolgan, and crazyballs clone) clone gets taken off by some arcane orderlies (to a white padded room, given some medicine that makes him feel better but then also fall asleep)
