Spiritual Success Ch. 4

You wake up, and Twilight is nowhere to be found, and you're still in the plush body of Twilight's old doll from when she was still a filly.

After hearing Twilight is outside preparing breakfast, you slip out of Smarty Pants and move over to Spike's room. Sure enough, he's sound asleep. Man, he knows how to snore...

You float back into the kitchen and see Twilight, looking like there's no care in the world, the biggest smile on her face. She knows today is going to be a big day for the both of you, but you don't have a clue aside from Twilight writing to Celestia on a way to restore your body.

You've already figured out that outside of any possessive figure, you can't communicate with Twilight or assumedly anyone else, so you could say or do anything at all in front of her and she wouldn't notice.

You decide it would be best to slip into Spike's body and take over before he wakes up. He won't remember a thing, and he'll have no control over his body, so for now, he's your puppet. You move over to Spike's room through the door, and decide to test your control over him. Dragons are much different than ponies, what with the whole "hands" thing, so this might take a little more practice than with Smarty Pants.

You slip into his lap and try bending Spike's knees, which doesn't feel right at all. Your hindlegs don't bend like that. Nonetheless, it's alot less risky than being a sentient doll pony floating through town.

You lay into the rest of Spike's body and you're suddenly transported into a dark room. Spike is there, or more appropriately, his spirit. You move over and shake him, waking him up.

"Nnngh...Huh? Who are you? And what are you doing in my head?"

He takes a good look at your figure and notices who you are.

"Ohhhh, you're Twilight's little stallion crush, aren't you?"

You can't help but laugh at that. "Well, I kinda 'was'...for now."

"Huh? You broke up with her? No wonder I heard her crying while I was trying to sleep."

"Oh no, I'm still close to her heart. Well, maybe a little too close."

"Oh...well that kinda makes sense, seeing as you're dead and all..."

"Oh no, I'm still alive, but I had to use some out-of-body magic."

"Huh..."Spike tries to put the pieces together, so you decide to help him out on that.

"Spike, do you remember Twilight ever pulling things out of thin air?"

"Well, I do remember the time she pulled a tiny gem or two out of thin air."

"Well, she decided I should be the next thing she pulled out of "thin air"...and when I say thin air, I mean really mean "from inside her". Well, it didn't go so well."

You fill Spike in on the details as he stares in disbelief.

"Well, that's a buncha wierd stuff if I ever heard it. So, did you want from me exactly?"

"Nothing much. I kinda want you to take the day off while I take care of things in here."

"So if I'm hearing you right, you're gonna take over what I do?"

"Well, I might need to ask you some questions every now and again."

"Well, I guess not having to work for Twilight for one day in my life wouldn't be so bad. Alright, I'm gonna get some sleep in here. Just please don't try to mess around with my body while I'm sleeping, ok?"

"You've got my word, Spike. I promise."

>Spike is much different than any Host body you may encounter on your journey. His ability to breathe fire and  send and receive letters will certainly help you in many ways!

Spike's spirit nods off to sleep and suddenly, the world fades into view again. As you walk out of Spike's room as the little purple dragon himself, Twilight notices you that you've woken up.

"Finally awake, sleepyhead?"

You walk over and give her a kiss on the cheek. "Honey, this isn't Spike."

Twilight facehoofs. "Ugh, sorry about that, Anon. I should've known you took Spike's body over."

"Nonono, it's fine. you need to get used to calling me Spike while I'm in here. Oh yeah, and I filled him in about everything, so no worries."

Twilight gives you a kiss on the cheek, making you smile. "It's okay, Spike...uh, Anon...I'll learn. Oh yeah, Rarity gave me some sapphire gems. Take them and feel free to eat them whenever."

"Thanks, Twilight." You pop a sapphire into your mouth and oh dear Celestia, it tastes amazing!

"Mmmm...no wonder Spike loves eating these things."

"Okay, before we head out today, we need to send out a letter to Princess Celestia. Think you can send it?"

"Hmm..."

>Within the recesses in Spike's mind, you reach out to Spike and ask how to send and recieve letters.

>"Okay, all you have to do is think of someone or somewhere to send it to, then breathe fire onto it to send it there. Oh, and don't worry if you need to belch. That's how you receive letters. It's real easy once you get the hang of it!"

"Okay, I think I've got it."

"Okay then Spike...Anon."

You instinctively grab some parchment paper and a quill, ready to write.

"Dear Princess Celestia..."
