ACHILLES HEEL: Juno's fatal flaw is her personal loyalty. Her fear of emotional detachment is only because she knows that if she truly cares for that person, she will go above and beyond to protect them and keep them safe. If the people she cares about are threatened, her emotions go out of control and she will sacrifice things that she doesn't find above their safety - including herself. It also makes her predictable as enemies can just easily target her loved ones just to get to her.

PERSONALITY: Due to the volatility of her telekinesis, Juno has been trained and taught to be in control of her emotions. She keeps everything below the surface, burying strong emotions in an effort to keep any damage from happening. As a result, she comes off as emotionless, cold, and detached. She has a straightforward way of thinking and doesn’t like wasting time.

She possesses a high-level intellect and her mind moves at a fast pace. She tends to act by herself, moving at her own pace rather than waiting for other people. This quick-thinking can sometimes be interpreted as recklessness. She doesn’t work well in a group, as she believes she’s powerful enough on her own. This confidence can rub people the wrong way and adds to a list of reasons for her isolation. She fails to see what she does wrong during these times, as she only has the end-goal in mind, not the steps that she took to get them. This attitude causes her to clash with the other girls, leading to one-sided arguments where she is unregretful and calmly defending her decisions.

Level-headed and logical, she doesn’t react according to her gut. Rather, she prefers to think things through and come up with solutions that don’t involve death. Calculating and attuned to details, she is able to come up with fact-based conclusions, considering every variable before making a move. She is objective, choosing to act based on what she knows rather than how she feels. This makes her ideal for tie-breaking and situations that require details. As a trained fighter, she's alert when it comes to her surroundings and tries to predict events before they happen.

Juno is honest and blunt. She believes that the truth must be heard, no matter the consequences and its effects. She comes off as insensitive and tactless, never sugarcoating the truth. Her brutal honesty can lead to many hurt feelings. When angry, her sharp-tongue shows itself. Combined with her being observant, she knows what makes people tick and what can hurt them. She doesn’t yell, rather she insults and she cuts down people. Arguments with her are never easy and her words last for a while.

True emotions are hard to come by when it comes to her. People can’t usually tell if she’s angry or she’s sad. Juno’s true anger manifests in the form of her telekinesis. She is almost always passive-aggressive, using sly remarks to express her distaste. Though she may seem nonchalant and calm, things will eventually start floating and moving around her – showing that she lost control over her emotions. Juno rarely shows when she’s sad or upset. She tends to internalize everything, pretending that nothing can touch her when things can really upset her. She tends to hide away from people and wallow in self-pity for a while.

She isolates herself from other people, preferring not to interact with them in fear of forming emotional bonds. Juno tends to form strong emotional bonds to people that she is close to. Juno doesn’t show it, but she is a loyal and fiercely protective person. This side of her only comes up during potentially life-threatening situations. During these times, she shows a more vulnerable and unstable side of her.

When she was younger, she was friendly, boisterous, and warm, prone to showing affection to her friends and family. Her emotions ruled her. When her telekinesis first started to develop, Juno had accidentally injured her brother, earning distrust and anger from her parents.

This incident caused her to start internalizing her emotions. She became obsessed with maintaining perfect control over how she feels, to the point where she projects herself as a cold and unemotional person. Her tendency to isolate herself from other people to prevent emotional bonds is a way for her to prevent hurting other people that she could grow to care for. In her mind, if she isn’t close to anyone, then she won’t be able to hurt them.

It takes a while for people to get through her walls, but when they do they find that she isn’t this uncaring ice queen that everyone believes she is. Juno cares for those she considers loved ones. It’s not easy to tell if she cares, but when she does it’s through subtle actions – a little fondness in her insults, playful jabs, and sarcastic jokes. She likes riling people up and making other people mad.Juno is also known to be a surprisingly good prankster. Her pranks are harmless, but confusing and no one ever suspects her. When people that she cares for are distressed, she offers the calming hand. She can be compassionate when she needs to be. Juno gives great advice and a good listener – but she denies this as she has a “reputation” to uphold.

BACKGROUND: Juno was born to caring parents. Camille was a prized scholar known in the magical world for her combination of modern science to create new and more precise spells. Her father Alexander is a retired Marine who is mortal, but is a respected part of Agard’s warriors. Growing up, there were a lot of expectations and high standards coming from her mother. She expected both Juno and Jason to be the perfect presentations of their family.

When she was younger, Juno was known to be the troublemaker of the town. Cheeky and intelligent, she had the habit of attracting trouble to her. She earned the ire of her mother for her little form of rebellion. Juno was much closer to her father, who taught her how to fight.

In school, Juno wasn’t the brightest, nor was she the strongest. She had trouble casting spells and making potions, though in terms of trivial knowledge, she was the person to go to. When she was 7 years old, she had accidentally caused a potion to blow up. Her mother, angry at the damage she had to pay, bound her magic until she can prove herself worthy of wielding magic again. With her powers gone, her mother turned to her younger sister as their next golden child.

She started working harder in school. Learning the spells and potions and working to perfect them in theory in the hopes that it’ll impress her mother enough to give her magic back. Her temporary lack of magic caused her to be at odds with her peers, slowly becoming an outcast because she’s basically a mortal now. She became quieter, less likely to cause chaos in fear that she would never get her magic back again.

She got her magic back when she was 11 years old. Her mother decided to give it back only because Jason had already gone through his Kindling. Her mother trained Juno vigorously, trying to train her to bring up her magical energy in time for her Kindling. This caused her magical ability to be more volatile, since she didn’t have the time to grow into her powers.

She lost control of her telekinesis while training with Jason. She was only meant to gently levitate him in the air. However, her mother’s demands and criticism caused her to be angry. Her magic spiked and instead she slammed Jason against a tree. The force caused Jason to be unconscious for several weeks.

The event caused her parents to be fearful and distrustful of her. They tried to isolate her from her siblings, but they had refused, knowing that it wasn’t her fault in the first place. Juno became even more isolated, forcing herself to perfect her emotions in order to prevent another incident like that to happen again.

When it was time for her Kindling, Juno demonstrated her abilities to a group of possible mentors. Knowing that she was powerful, she purposefully toned it down. Only one person wanted to mentor her – an elderly woman named Diana. Diana had seen potential in her abilities and knew that she was more powerful than she showed them.

Diana trained her to maintain her composure and channel her emotions to work with her abilities. In the clan, Diana had the reputation of being the fiercest and terrifying elder due to her sharp tongue and honesty. Juno considers her more of a mother than her actual mother and holds her fondly in her thoughts.


CLAN: Agard places emphasis on the physical world and their interactions with it. The clan usually wields strong warriors – both magically and physically. They have the reputation of being the most disciplined and most detached out of the other clans. Preferring their solitude, their clan’s settlement is somewhere in the mountains – hidden from sight by strong wards.

Founders of the clan carried magical blood that had an affinity for physical magic – magic that allows them to manipulate matter and energy. As a result, those of the clan tend to develop powers like telekinesis, photokinesis, or molecular manipulation.

With their fondness for activity and movement, Agard scholars have developed a spellcasting system unique to the clan. Referred to as “spell-work”, this casting system uses intricate movements with their fingers and hands spells. Scholars have developed their own terminologies and movements for specific spells that allow for more precise and concentrated spells.

When a child is between their childhood and adolescence (the day before their 13th birthday), they go through a tradition called the Kindling. During the Kindling, they demonstrate their ability to a group of mentors. One of the mentors will take on the child as their apprentice and are tasked with teaching them how to control their abilities and make them stronger.

Every year, Agard holds a tournament. For this day, all the clan members gather to challenge each other – separated by age, not gender – and display their abilities. The tournament is held for fun and later in the day, they have a feast followed by a bonfire.

Agard does not have a supreme chief or leader. Rather, if threats arise, they have a war council made up of a representative from each family. In terms of status, Juno’s mother is well-known for her implementation of modern science to craft new spells and improve their abilities.  The clan’s insignia is two hammers crossed together inside a yellow sun with a red background at the back.

Her talisman was given to her by her mentor Diana on her 16th birthday. The talisman can detect lies and the presence of danger (even if invisible). Its eyes will glow bright when it does. Diana also enchanted it to come to life at Juno’s command and linked it so that she is able to see through its eyes. When using this, the talisman can see through things (like enchantments).

FAMILIAR: Her familiar is a female San Francisco garter snake named Artemis.

PREFERRED CLOTHING STYLE: Juno tends to wear a mix of blues, whites, grays, and blacks. She tends to wear long-sleeved clothing and rarely wears clothes that don't have any sleeves.
