  1. “We’re lost.”
  2.
  3. It didn’t really matter who said it, Bronze decided. It was true not matter which of them had decided to vocalize and articulate the matter at hand. It had been a whole night of following false trails, picking up weird bits and pieces of potential leads and hunting for the intruder who’d been leading them on a merry chase had given them little in the way of success.
  4.
  5. “So, then. What will we do about it?” Bronze looked over his shoulder at the large golden furred three headed dog who padded beside him. The deep, sultry voice making him shudder with lust all over again. It wasn’t fair that that kind of voice would belong to a Dog, the main one of the three heads seeming to have slight variation of tone and cadence which worked together to make the elf clench around the puppy dog tail in his behind with its every word. “We shouldn’t keep wondering about without note on which way is back home. Who or whatever has had us running around in circles out here has been consistently erasing our own trails, and spreading our scent in random directions. It’s been a very confusing time for my noses.”
  6.
  7. Gah… even his whining was sexy as fuck... Bronze couldn’t help but cry to himself for the thousandth time about the unfairness that was his owner’s prized pup. The only consolation being that the golden furred beast didn’t actually care to put the effects of its unholy voice to use... he’d be a menace to all women, and quite a few men, if it weren’t for the fact that he only truly had eyes for the woman who’d raised him. It was a good thing that the head who seemed to be in charge didn’t constantly size him up like a piece of meat… or leer at him with a particularly knowing grin. A very good thing that it was only the ones who weren’t in charge doing that... reminding him of that time he’d submitted like a bitch on all fours while his mistress jeered them both on.
  8.
  9. Bronze calmed himself and took a deep breath.
  10.
  11. “We can probably just reorient ourselves and use the sun as a guide then. We should be able to figure out how to get back to centre more easily once it rises in the morning.” Bronze allowed himself to sigh aloud, searching up into the sky at the orange ball receding away in the distance. “If this place runs on natural rules for its basis we should be able to get back to centre just by following the sun’s line of ascent and decent.”
  12.
  13. To the other side of him the Kobold shrugged. “I lived my whole life in a cave. This outdoor stuff is your thing. I don’t really mind so long as we don’t stay lost.”
  14.
  15. “You wouldn’t.” Bronze grumbled, looking back at the absurdly large sack sitting on the diminutive dragonoid’s shoulder. “You’ve been having a field day.”
  16.
  17. “It’s not my fault there’s so much good stuff out here. Do you know what I could make with half this? Oh man gourmet eating for a week straight, that’s what’s in the bag!” The pink kobold grinned happily, not looking even a little bit bothered by the exchange.
  18.
  19. “I hope, you remembered to include something for Ruby… she’ll be pissed when we get back home empty handed.” Bronze replied, trying to be magnanimous with his fellow slave… who’d jumped on the back of fawn in the woods and torn it to shreds with ease. The bastard hadn’t even taken the whole thing with it, instead using its powerful claws to carve out what it said was the best cuts of the meat, then taking off the skin as well to use as a wrapping for the hunks of meat. The whole process having taken less than ten minutes to complete.
  20.
  21. Pink and cute or not… the Kobold was scary.
  22.
  23. “Of course. I even got some salmon from the waterways too. This place is full of good stuff.” Kunzite gave a crocodile grin.
