Kunoichi story

So I am a manamo social worker.  I am basically a professional cat herder. On a daily basis I have to deal with monster girls that have problema integrating into human society on this planet.  My group is normally either super aggressive monster girls, or ones that have trouble due to their body type.  Like giant kraken girls, and other strange large monsters.  They are really not so bad.  I helped this wonderful kraken get a job as an underwater welder and salvage expert.  Its the agressive and jealous ones you got to worry about.  Especially when you are single like I am, and my position,  well you  get lots of advances.  Like now.

"Why won't just let me make you my husbamd!" Maria shouted.  Maria is a very large and strong Ushi Oni who is currently attempting to fuck my brains out because she forgot to take her meds this morning.  She is currenrly shooting webbing at me and is trying to use me.  She isnt normally like this.   The meds keep down the lust and the daemonic energy in her blood, but she has to take them daily.  Otherwise, well --

"Just let me fuck you until mt pills kick in!  Please! I need this more than you need your pelvis." She roared.  The tranq dart hit her from my partner.  Poor Maria collapsed into a heap on her bed.  It wasnt her fault.  She didn't choose to be this way.  She actually preferred the pills.  Not all ushi oni did.  She wanted to get married and have a nice husband, maybe open a restaurant and have a few kids.  She was your standard monster girl immigrant who wanted to make the best of this new world.

My partner is a grizzled old mountain that can be considered human, even though he is taller than some oni.  He doesnt speak much,  as basically I do all the talking and work, he does any of the "other" work.  He nods at her. He looks a bit upset.  He pats her on the head a few times and then puts the blankets over her.  He gives me a look and I nod.  He will greet her when she gets up.  I am late for my appointment. Or at least my next one.

Part of being a social worker in this brave new world includes,  dealing with the integration of people into new roles. Every week, I go to visit one former client.  She is withour a doubt my most successful client.  She runs a yoga shop and fitness center downtown.  Her name is Kim.  She is a Kunoichi.  She has taken to life here in america.  She took a run down shitty gym, one on the verge of being condemned and poures her soul into it.  When I first found her she was a homeless veteran. She was only a Kunoichi.  She wasnt as exotic as other monster girls, and while she has special talents,  she was an at risk veteran.  She was lost. This amazing beautiful young woman had not even a place to stay.  So I let her crash on my couch for a few weeks until I found her a place to stay.

Everyday, I would go help her.  She was my first assignment on this job.  I helped her find a place to stay, and while it was a tiny apartment she made that place a happy bright little apartment. For several monster girls starting out here was it wasnt easy.  I would show up, help her look for work, and she would always take to it.  She had the can do attitude that was present in many veterans.  She would always be polite and honest with me.  I had to come in and help her on late nights.  Then we found a job for her.  I never saw any emotion from her until that day.   She smiled and her eyes lit up.  I was worried that it wouldn't be enough to get her started be in town.   But to her the gym reminded her of home.  Every week I would check in, and every week. Every week the gym and clientele would get better.   She had a rough going,  but I would help, and I had others to help.  Even thougn I had helped her case clear, I would still check in.

Many of my clients and cases have gotten married.  Not her.  She has been busy the day she got started.  Over the past two years since her case has closed, I have helped her.  I show up and help with standard business things and human matters.  I help introduce her to human concepts on this planet and technology.   I helped her purchase better exercise equipment and licenses.  She helped me get through rough days at work.  For the past two years, I have wanted to ask her out.  Take her out for a date. Ask her to dinner.  As an employee of the state,  I am not allowed to date a former ward, for two years.  As I walk up to her gym, I notice the spinning class she is teaching, and how busy she is. She smiles and waves at me.  It is rare for a kunoichi to express much emotion, especially in frot of strangers.  As I walk inside the wind gently blows against my back before the door closes.   As she stands up, and walks towards me I feel butterflies in my stomach. I walk towards her and she smiles.

"Danny!" She says as she comes up.  In front of me is the most amazing woman I have ever met and she is happy to see me.  I have no idea what to say.

"Here for our weekly get together?"  She asks grabbing my arm gently.  I the man who have helped so many monster women find men, have no idea what to say.  I look her in the eyes and I smile.  This woman who has been so kind to me, as very few people have is looking back into my eyes and is holding my hand.  For the first time I understand that I didn't even have to ask.  I knew that she felt the same way too.  I had nothing to worry about.  She was always honest with me, and always this way to me.

So I smile back at her, and I geip her hand firmly, yet gently as I smile back to her. She looks at me with a rare joy that is hard to describe, as I feel that she understands too.

"Would you maybe like to go get some dinner tonight, and maybe visit more than once a week?"  I ask her and she reaches up and kisses me on the lips.  In front of her spinning class.  She holds my hand tighter.

"I think I would greatly enjoy that." She says to me.

I look at her in the eyes and smile.  "I have been waiting to ask that of you for a while."

"I have been waiting too" she says now hugging me and me tight.  I hug her back and hold on to her.

She gently releases me from the hug and holds on to my hands and looks me in the eye and smiles.  "I have to get back to work though okay? And you still have work to do too."  She saya, and she is right.

"Its true." I say realizing that I have to discuas with a danuki that being a shylark isn't exactly a legal career path

"Until tonight Danny" She says.

" I can hardly wait" is all I can say and she smiles and gets back on her bike.

I smile and walk outside feeling my spirit rise up in me.  It took me two years, nut it was wooth the wait.
