  10. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  11. Code of the Paladin Guild
  12.
  13. ~A Paladin Supports & Defends Good & Opposes Evil~
  14.
  15. ~A Paladin is a Leader in Righteous Combat~
  16.
  17. When it is necessary to fight, the Paladin will seek to guide
  18. and inspire his comrades, taking a forward position in the battle
  19. and facing the foe boldly. A Paladin does not hide from his foe
  20. or sneak about.
  21.
  22. ~A Paladin is a Protector~
  23.
  24. He will seek to prevent harm to the innocent and will place himself
  25. at risk in order to accomplish this if need be.
  26.
  27. ~A Paladin is Just & Works to Promote & Enforce Justice & the Law~
  28.
  29. If a Paladin does not agree with a law, he must still respect
  30. it and should work to change it rather than disregarding it.
  31. The only exception to this is if the Paladin believes the law
  32. to be truly Evil. In this instance, the Paladin must follow the
  33. dictates of his conscience.
  34.
  35. ~A Paladin is Honest~
  36.
  37. He will not lie or otherwise seek to deceive a person. A Paladin
  38. does not cheat or seek to take unfair advantage in his dealings
  39. with others.
  40.
  41. ~A Paladin is Loyal~
  42.
  43. He does not betray his god, his liege-lord, his guild, his family,
  44. or his friends.
  45.
  46. ~A Paladin is Holy~
  47.
  48. He seeks to do that which pleases his god in all manners of the
  49. Code, and knows that the purity of his soul has a profound impact
  50. on the abilities the gods bless him with.
  51.
  52. While it is not required that a Paladin worships Chadatru or Rutilor
  53. above other gods, he ignores the wishes of the God of Justice at his
  54. peril. Serving another god or gods is possible for a Paladin provided
  55. that the path that he follows does not work against Good or Justice.
  56. It is not appropriate for a Paladin to work toward the ends of a dark
  57. aspect since the goals of such are not in keeping with what is Good
  58. and Just.
  59.
  60. ~As decreed by the Paladin Council
