  1. >You have no idea how many years it's been since you first arrived in Equestria
  2. >Time was irrelevant to you in your current situation
  3. >In your beginnings, you like to think that you were used to customs and regular activities that held this place together
  4. >But just as you start to get used to it all, another thing knocks you in your head
  5. >So now you sit in Canterlot's dungeon, filled with some of the most dangerous criminals of this land
  6. >Dangerous, being an understatement
  7. >What crimes have they committed?
  8. >Petty theft, money laundering, scam artists, things simple of that nature
  9. >There was an arsonist here a while ago, but he was released on the fact that he produced more water in here than fire
  10. >And what are you here for?
  11. >Well, Let's just say that it's a crime that Celestia never really thought she would ever have to deal with
  12. >There have been times where horrible monsters have destroyed her land and put her precious ponies in danger
  13. >But they all have came out mostly unscathed, a few bruises and cuts here and there, but nothing serious
  14. >You though...
  15. >You took the life of one of her dear citizens
  16. >And you will never see the light of day, ever again
  17. >It still catches you off guard how sweet and innocent these ponies really are
  18. >The days still play out in your mind how it all went down
  19. >You lay on the cold stone floor as you are forced to relive the past in your mind
  20. ~~~
  21.
  22. >It was a beautiful evening in Ponyville
  23. >The birds were singing, the colors were vibrant as ever, and a simple calmness washed over the town of Ponyville
  24. >It was a calmness that you could never feel back on Earth
  25. >But here...
  26. >You walk through Ponyville Square, breathing in the clean air as you do every day
  27. >Ponies all around greeted you with a warm smile and a wave
  28. >You waved back with a smile
  29. >This town was so used to having an alien in their town so much that you were practically a citizen yourself
  30. >Finding your favorite bench on the dirt path, you sit and relax
  31. >You watch the bustle of ponies walking to their destinations
  32. >It puts a smile on your face
  33. >The simpleness and friendliness of life in this land feels good
  34. >Sure you had some bad apples in the bunch, but they are overwhelmed by the sheer number of humble ponies that stand
  35. >Having a spot of trouble?
  36. >Don't worry, your friends are always there to help
  37. >A few bits short from buying that little trinket you wanted?
  38. >It's okay, they'll knock a few bits off for a friend
  39. >You meet that special girl that you just can't get enough of?
  40. >Your friends will encourage you and help you any way they can
  41. >Speaking of that special girl
  42. >Rarity...
  43. >Oh Rarity, such a ray of elegance and generosity emits from her that you just couldn't help but be enamored
  44. >You close your eyes and begin to think about the love of your life
  45. >Your beginning in Equestria was a bit rough, feelings of homesick and loneliness crept up on you plenty of times
  46. >At first, your nights were spent alone curled up in a bed a few sizes too small for you holed up in Twilight's home
  47. >The fear of never returning to your world was near crippling to you
  48. >Twilight and her friends all seemed to of course feel bad for you, but there was only one of them who UNDERSTOOD
  49. >Some nights were spent with watery eyes, telling her how much you missed your home, family, and friends
  50. >You never really could pinpoint exactly why, but The more time you spent with Rarity, the more those feelings began to dissipate
  51. >Back on Earth you lived alone, sometimes those same feelings would come up but you could always call or visit the people you loved to make you feel better
  52. >But that was impossible here
  53. >With Rarity though, she would always comfort you and tell you everything was okay, her loving embrace like a warm blanket over you
  54. >The more time you spent with her, the more your fears were replaced with another feeling as you connected with her far more than you had with any other pony that you have met
  55. >Her optimism alone was like a beaming ray of healing light on your heart of sorrow
  56. >Eventually with the help of Rarity, your introvert personality began to break
  57. >You would visit her from time to time, assisting her with whatever she needed help with
  58. >Whether it be fashion opinions, or to babysit Sweetie Belle when she had errands to run
  59. >No matter what it was, you would want to be by her side at all times
  60. >Your feelings weren't just one sided though
  61. >She admired and took to heart whatever you had to say about her projects
  62. >If you needed help with clothes, she would make it a date
  63. >Once the clothes were fitted and finished, you and her would go out and eat at restaurants to "test the outfit's effectiveness" as she would put it
  64. >And often they were VERY effective
  65. >So much in fact, that they would usually find their place on Rarity's bedroom floor when the date ended
  66. >Sometimes she would even invite you to fashion shows in a variety of different venues ranging from Las Pagasus to Manehattan and many more
  67. >Always, you said yes
  68. >You would travel far distances with her, whether it be by train or a Pegasus drawn carriage
  69. >All those times she would talk about moments with her friends, how sometimes she would pretty much save all of Equestria from dangers such as monsters from unknown depths or even the god of chaos himself, Discord
  70. >That, and possible future fashion designs that have been on her mind
  71. >Pretty big contrast, but interesting nonetheless
  72. >When she would get tired, she would lean on you or lay her head on your lap and let the slow rocking of the carriage lull her to sleep
  73. >You never really told her before, but she tends to talk in her sleep
  74. >A few times you've heard her concerns for the future events, other times you would her things about you
  75. >She would sometimes mumble your name after giving a small sigh of what seemed like satisfaction, but the most prominent moments were the times she would go on about how strong her feelings were for you
  76. >Everyone in Ponyville and places you visited with her always wondered you were a couple
  77. >Rarity was always the first to confirm their suspicions
  78. >She was happy to have you by her side
  79. >So after a long time of showing each others affection, dates, and understanding, you decided to tie the knot with her
  80. >You remember the tears that streamed down her face
  81. >You remember the tightness of the hug after she said yes
  82. >You remember the party that all the friends you've made in Ponyville threw for you
  83. >It was a great Ceremony
  84. >You couldn't be happier
  85. >Even Spike, the not-so-small-anymore dragon who was completely in love with Rarity, was willing to give up his feelings for both of your happiness
  86. >'As long as you two are happy, then I'm happy!'
  87. >Soon after you noticed that Spike and Sweetie Belle began hanging out a lot more often
  88. >Honestly it's hard to believe how much your life has changed over the years
  89. >You have great friends, a loving wife, and a generally good life
  90. >It felt good to be you
  91. >Your "Contemplating Life" bench was always fun to visit, but you feel like you've spent enough time here
  92. >You get up and stretch your limbs
  93. >Looking at the sky, you see the sun was beginning to set
  94. >It was about time you headed home now
  95. >Tonight, you had guests
  96. ~
  97.
  98. >The trip to your home took a bit longer than you expected
  99. >It seemed as though there were a lot more ponies out and about than usual, so you were stopped to chat quite often
  100. >Eventually you reached the outside of the Carousel Boutique, but before you enter, you peer into the window outside from the dining room
  101. >Damn it
  102. >You were hoping you would beat them here
  103. >Oh well, better late than never
  104. >You head to the door and enter your home
  105. >For some reason, the air in here felt a little more colder than usual
  106. >Immediately you hear hooves clopping in your direction, then a somewhat frazzled looking Rarity emerges from the dining room doorway and heads straight for you
  107. "Hey hon, ho-"
  108. >Before you could finish, Rarity is already magically tugging at your shirt
  109. >"Darling you're late! We had to start dinner without you!"
  110. >you were being pulled a little more forcibly than you'd like in the direction of the dining room, but with the situation at hand you understood why
  111. "I know I know and I'm sorry! The town was a bit busy today an-"
  112. >"IS THAT ANON?! Tell my good-for-nothing son in law to get his lazy flank over here! We didn't ride all the way out here for nothing!"
  113. >The voice of Rarity's mother could be heard all the way from the parlor room
  114. >That woman definitely had a set of lungs in her
  115. >Before you could reply, you were already being pushed towards the dining room
  116. >As you enter, you are presented to with only two ponies who were against your's and Rarity's marriage
  117. >Her parents.
  118. >They sat at the dinner table with a spread in front of them, along with two empty chairs for you and your wife
  119. >"It's about time boy! If yer gonna have guests over don'tcha think it's common courtesy to at least be here when they arrive?"
  120. >Rarity's dad spoke to you in a demeaning tone, but just resolves back to reading a newspaper and picking at his food
  121. "S-sorry guys, I guess I just lost track of-"
  122. >"Whatever boy, just sit and eat the food yer wife slaved over while you were out lolligaggin'"
  123. >Yeah, there was no beating around the bush.
  124. >You hated Rarity's parents.
  125. >Often times they would visit only to "check up on their daughter", when in reality all they do is insult you
  126. >Constantly telling you how their daughter can do better, how you're holding her back from her real dreams
  127. >Every visit they would leave you fuming, but Rarity was always there to calm you down, telling you they just don't understand you like she does
  128. >Hopefully tonight wouldn't be one of those nights
  129. >So instead of giving them a piece of your mind, you calmly sit down in your chair while Rarity looks at you concernedly
  130. >You REALLY don't want any trouble tonight, so you'll try your best to keep a level head
  131. "Please dear, have a seat."
  132. >As you pull out Rarity's chair for her, a voice from the other side of the table decides to interrupt
  133. >"Jeez Louise boy, my daughter created an entire fashion business with her bare hooves and saved Equestria countless times, I'm sure she knows how to seat herself!"
  134. >You're just fuckin-
  135. >...
  136. >Deep breaths.
  137. >Luckily, Rarity goes on the defensive for you
  138. >"please father, he's just being polite!" Rarity said as she took her seat, stamping lightly at the table
  139. >With nothing else to say, her dad just goes back to reading
  140. >The dinner table was now silent, the only noise being the clattering of silverware and chewing
  141. >It was sort of calming in a way
  142. >It gave the illusion of a normal family dinner where nobody hated each other and that you actually didn't mind being here
  143. >The silence didn't last long though as Rarity's mother decides to speak up
  144. >"So Anon, what were you doing in town that had you so busy that you couldn't be here eh?"
  145. >You fork a bit of food into your mouth as she talks, trying to remember some of the stuff you did today
  146. "Well, I had to stop by Twilight's today to drop off a fe-"
  147. >"That's PRINCESS Twilight to you boyo.", Rarity's dad once again interrupts
  148. "... Princess Twilight's library to drop off a few books and assist her with a few errands around town, then once that was all done I headed to the post office to grab some packages that the Mailmare couldn't carry herself, me and her were able to get it here pretty easil-"
  149. >"Ya needed a mares help with carrying a few boxes? Are ya THAT weak boy? Maybe ya shoulda gone with Rarity's friend Applejack then, I bet all that farm work would whoop ya inta shape!"
  150. >It's getting harder and harder to keep calm now
  151. >"Father that's enough!" Rarity snaps at her dad, but you put your hand on her back to calm her down
  152. >But before the situation could dissolve, Rarity's mother jumps into the fray
  153. >"Don't you yell at your pops like that young lady! I happen to think he has a point, maybe if Anon here spent a little more time doin' hard work instead of bein' a little errand boy then he wouldn't be such a burden!"
  154. >Burden?!
  155. >Eat a dick you old hag!
  156. >No no, don't get angry
  157. >As you tried to calm yourself though, Rarity was getting more heated
  158. >"WHAT?! In no way is my husband a burden! In fact, if it wasn't for him I wouldn't the the mare I am today! He has helped me with so much and I him!"
  159. >As much as you appreciate your wife protecting you, things only seem to be leading to another typical night with her parents
  160. >Suddenly, the newspaper that rarity's dad was holding slams onto the table
  161. >"And what 'help' would that be honey?! helping you hold back on your potential? Rarity baby, I hope one of these days you'll realize what you COULD be doing! What happened with all those fashion stallions that you liked so much? What happened to the PRINCE that ya couldn't stop talkin' bout?! Think of where ya would be if ya weren't stuck here with this... this weirdo alien?!"
  162. >no...
  163. >the table shakes as rarity's hooves stomp on its top
  164. >"THAT WEIRDO ALIEN IS MY LOVING HUSBAND!"
  165. >"HE DOESN'T BELONG HERE!"
  166. >stop...
  167. >"YES HE DOES! HE BELONGS HERE WITH ME!"
  168. >"I JUST WANT WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU!"
  169. >please...
  170. >"AND WHAT'S BEST"
  171. >"ISN'T"
  172. >"HIM!"
  173. >A loud *SMASH* stops the shouting match between Rarity and her father
  174. >Fuck...
  175. >It seems like you let your emotions get the get the best of you
  176. >All eyes are now on you, fist through a ceramic plate with shards of it stuck in your hand
  177. >The wounds in your hand start to bleed, but you don't feel it
  178. >You don't want to feel it
  179. >You don't want to feel anything right now
  180. >A slight gasp from Rarity is the only thing you could hear as you closed your eyes
  181. >Before any more trouble arises, you silently excuse yourself from the table and head to the bathroom to take care of your hand
  182. >You've had enough for today...
  183. ~
  184.
  185. >The cuts on your hand have finally stopped bleeding
  186. >Small bits of ceramic now littered the inside of the sink with splotched of blood covering the inside and outside
  187. >You sigh to yourself, silently regretting how you handled that
  188. >Today was such a good fucking day, why did it have to end on such a bad moment?
  189. >Not at all did you expect to be bleeding over the sink by tonight
  190. >But with Rarity's parents, you guess that maybe anything could happen
  191. >They always had ways of getting under your skin, but tonight was actually a first
  192. >Not once have you ended the nights with them damaged
  193. >Upset of course, but never cut and bleeding
  194. >Why was this getting worse?
  195. >Why did they hate you so much?
  196. >Rarity's dad was objectively the worst out of the two
  197. >No matter what you did, he would always look down on you and belittle you
  198. >As if marrying his daughter was such a fucking sin to him that he had to make every encounter a bad one
  199. >You've tried your best to show that you cared very deeply about Rarity and that she was in good hands
  200. >But they just... couldn't see that...
  201. >You open the medical cabinet and pull out some bandages and peroxide
  202. >Lukewarm water begins to pour out of the spout after you turn the handle and rinse off your hand
  203. >The blood quickly disappears into the drain
  204. >small bits of ceramic were still poking out of your skin, but the water loosened and removed them
  205. >Okay, now this part was gonna hurt
  206. >You open the peroxide bottle and lightly soak a small rag near the sink
  207. >Fuck, here we go...
  208. >Before you could connect the rag with your hand though, a soft few knocks came from the closed door of the bathroom
  209. >"Anon... are you in there?"
  210. >It was Rarity, her voice was raspy as if she had been crying
  211. >No doubt she was, these nights tended to affect the both of you
  212. >You look towards the door but keep your hand under the sink
  213. "Yeah, come on in."
  214. >The door opens, revealing a ragged Rarity, mascara running down her cheeks and head down low
  215. >"Oh darling, I'm so sorry about tonight... I thought maybe things would be different but... it seems like I was wrong."
  216. >Her voice was low and apologetic, but picked up once she noticed what you were doing
  217. >"Dear I've told you about using that horrible stuff, You know that I know a spell that could help you without that nasty pain!"
  218. >Immediately her horn lights up and your hand is enveloped in her aura, the small cuts slowly healing themselves and disappearing
  219. "I know hun, I just didn't want to sit there with a bleeding hand in front of two sharks."
  220. >Your joke makes her smile, lightening the mood just a bit
  221. >"Well luckily you don't have to deal with them for the rest of the night, I sent them off so now we have the house all to ourselves...", Rarity says as she leans closer to you, resting her head on your side
  222. >You softly sigh and rest your good hand on her head, lightly scratching the back of her ear
  223. "Thank goodness, so what do you say to having a drink? I could really use one right about now."
  224. >Rarity nods in agreement
  225. >"That sounds lovely dear, lets just take our minds off of tonight and enjoy ourselves."
  226. >And so you did, the two of you left the bathroom in each other embrace, ready to visit the 4 horsemen and end the night with gusto
  227. ~
  228.
  229.
  230. *****************************************
  231. >Are you a psycho?
  232. >Guess you're a psycho.
  233. >Damn it Anon, what the hell is wrong with you?
  234. >What are you, cursed?
  235. >Where were you from?
  236. >Why is there blood all over your shirt?
  237. >So what if you're a little dysfunctional?
  238. >As long as they don't push you, you won't get mad
  239. >You're not the same
  240. >It's so strange how much you're life has changed
  241. >You try to hide it deep inside
  242. >You never learned how to hold it in
  243. >You're no killer
  244. >You want to be peaceful
  245. >You want to show them you're good, but their evil just seems to seep out
  246. >They let you're emotions get the best of you
  247. >They think less of you
  248. >They think you're sick
  249. >"Damn it Anon, get me out of here!"
  250. >The rogue voice snaps you out of your stupor
  251. >Your surroundings were extremely dark, with only the moonlight lighting what was in front of you
  252. >Tree's surrounded you from all corners
  253. >The hole in front of you won't shut up
  254. >Maybe you should have taped the mouth
  255. >Whatever, voices can't be heard under six feet of dirt
  256. >You continue shoveling
  257. >"You won't get away with thi-"
  258. >The voice becomes more muffled as the dirt begins piling up
  259. >It's no use anyways, there wasn't a single body to hear their screams for miles
  260. >All in the name of love, right?
  261. >Right.
  262. >You're just trying to get your life right
  263. >You knew you were doing the right thing
  264. >A bright light began to scare away the darkness, leaving you exposed
  265. ***************************************************
  266.
  267. >Oh god you're head is killing you...
  268. >The morning light of Celestia's sun shone through the curtains of your bedroom
  269. >Right onto your face
  270. >No matter how much you wanted to tell the birds outside to shut the hell up, it was time to wake up and start the day
  271. >You try to roll out from under the covers but a small force against your chest stops you
  272. >It was Rarity, snuggled deeply into your chest for comfort
  273. >Oh she was gonna hate you for this
  274. "Mrr... Rares... it's time to get up..."
  275. >Not a single movement came from her other than the rise and fall of her chest
  276. >You move your arm around her in an embrace and lightly shake her
  277. >"Stooopp..."
  278. >You wish you could just lay in bed with her all day, but the both of you had plans later
  279. "C'mon hun... we got stuff to do today..."
  280. >Reluctantly, Rarity finally opens her eyes, harshly blinking to get accustomed to the new light
  281. >She tries to use her magic to shut the curtains, but the strain on her already pounding head was too much
  282. >"Oww... Anon, would you please be a dear and close the curtains? I'm just not ready for light right now..."
  283. >Ugghh...
  284. >You release Rarity and slide out from under the blankets, then slowly trudge your way to the curtains and shut them
  285. >Glancing over at the clock, you se-
  286. >Holy fuck, it's almost 12 already? Damn it, you had to be at Fluttershy's in an hour!
  287. >You promised you'd help her construct some new chicken pens and put up a fence
  288. >Damn, you definitely didn't need to be bombarded by animal noises any time soon
  289. >But a promise is a promise
  290. >You walk over to Rarity and give her a kiss on the forehead
  291. "It's almost 12 dear, c'mon I'll work on some food."
  292. >The mention of a meal seems to perk her up slightly
  293. >Rarity sits up in the bed and rubs her temples
  294. >"Oh my... I think I may have had a bit too much to drink last night..."
  295. "You and me both sister"
  296. >Once the both of you were now properly awake, you and Rarity head downstairs
  297. >Fuck...
  298. >this place is trashed
  299. >what did you two do last night?
  300. >Mannequins were strewn about and rolls of cloth littered the floor
  301. >Oh no...
  302. >It seems like a bottle of glitter somehow found its way on the floor
  303. >Onto the carpet
  304. >Without a lid
  305. >What a way to start the morning...
  306. ~
  307.
  308. >After noon/breakfast with Rarity, you kiss her goodbye and head over to Fluttershy's home
  309. >During the walk, you try to dig deep into your mind on what happened last night
  310. >The last thing you really remember is blood
  311. >That's probably not a good thing to remember though
  312. >Wait, that's right, Rarity's parents...
  313. >They pissed you off
  314. >Again
  315. >You really should stop letting them get so under your skin
  316. >Their hate was so... out of the blue though
  317. >What did you do to deserve it?
  318. >They always bring up Rarity's past interests in stallions
  319. >Blueblood, Fancy pants, that fashion designer colt, and many others
  320. >Was it really their success that made them better than you?
  321. >Sure Blueblood was a prince, but he was a royal asshat too, Rarity told you how much she ended up hating him because of how rude he was
  322. >Fancy Pants was all business, sure he was classy but the relationship between him and Rarity was strictly for financial benefits
  323. >You don't even remember that other colts name, but you know that he wasn't even interested in Rarity at all, he liked her dress designs but he was more interested in Applejack
  324. >Hell, at this point it seems like her parents would prefer Spike marrying her instead of you
  325. >You've done everything you can to show them this marriage wasn't a mistake
  326. >Her dad trashed the jersey you bought him from his favorite team
  327. >You remembered that her mom loved cooking, so you bought her an automatic mixer
  328. >She said, "Did you forget I'm a unicorn? It's already automatic for me!"
  329. >That mixer is still sitting on the counter in the kitchen
  330. >You sigh, maybe there was no changing their mind
  331. >You're just gonna have to deal with it
  332. >At least Rarity was always on your side
  333. >You don't know what you'd do without her
  334. >The path starts to get more rough, signalling that you were getting close to Fluttershy's house
  335. >Soon enough the bridge across the small river leading to her home was in front of you
  336. >You can see Fluttershy already outside filling the bird feeders
  337. >After you cross the bridge, she notices you coming and goes to greet you
  338. >"Oh, hello Anon! You don't look so good today- uhm, I mean, sorry..."
  339. >You dismiss her comment, you know you look like shit right now
  340. "Nah it's alright Flutters, just had a rough night yesterday."
  341. >She seems to understand, nodding her head
  342. >"That's right, I heard Rarity's parents came to visit. How did that go?"
  343. >You shrug your shoulders
  344. "You're looking at the result."
  345. >She eyes you from head to toe
  346. >"I see, if you're not feeling well we can put up the chicken coup and fence some other time if you'd like."
  347. >You put you're hands up defensively
  348. "No no it's alright, some physical work should get me back into shape."
  349. >She looks at you concernedly, but accepts saying, "If you say so, we can get started now if you like."
  350. "Sounds good."
  351. >Fluttershy leads you around her home where she wanted it put up and you see the supplies were already in place
  352. "So how should we get this done?"
  353. >She observes the spot where it'll be places and back to the supplies
  354. >"Well, maybe it would be easy to set it up right here on the floor, then lift it into place."
  355. >Sounds like a plan, you immediately get to work
  356. >Fluttershy brings you a hammer and some nails while you take the boards and fix them into place
  357. >You take the hammer and place a nail against the wood, striking it until the boards are in place
  358. >As you work, you decide to pick up some small talk with Fluttershy
  359. "So Flutters, how've you been lately? It feels like I haven't visited you in a while."
  360. >She answers as she brings you more boards and nails
  361. >"Oh I've been fine, the animals have been keeping me busy lately so I haven't really had much time for myself, but that's alright."
  362. >Another board in place
  363. "That's good, but maybe you should try to make some time for yourself."
  364. >the nail easily slides into the wood as you hammer it
  365. "If you want we could always go out to eat or something, I'm sure Rarity would love to see you."
  366. >Fluttershy blushes a bit, "Oh, I don't know... I'd hate to be, what do they call it, a 'third wheel?'"
  367. >What? Why would she think that of herself?
  368. "No way! You're our friend Fluttershy, we'd love to have you with us!"
  369. >The frame of the chicken coup began to take shape
  370. >"I-if you say so Anon, it would be nice to go out once in a while."
  371. >You put a nail between your teeth as you hold up a board, then take it and hammer it in place
  372. "And not to say you would be a third wheel, but maybe bringing somepony else would make you feel better, maybe... a special somepony?"
  373. >You laugh as Fluttershy is caught off guard by your comment, a harsh blush crossing her face
  374. >"O-oh no no, I wouldn't have the time for anything like that..."
  375. "But think of it Flutters, wouldn't it be nice to have someone here to help you more? Someone to cuddle up with that doesn't have a tiny fluffy white tail?"
  376. >You smile as she tries her hardest to avoid your gaze, her blush getting worse
  377. >"I-I, well, m-maybe..."
  378. >You decide to pry a little further
  379. "C'mon Flutters, have you had anybody in mind? Maybe I would know them and we could work something out!"
  380. >She's at a loss for words now, concluding to stumbling her words and shying behind her hair
  381. >The frame was finally complete, all that was left was to put up the chicken wire
  382. >You unroll it and place it against the boards
  383. "Could you hold this in place for me please?"
  384. >It looks like Fluttershy was too lost in her hair to hear your comment, but still notices you said something
  385. >"Uh, sorry, what?"
  386. "The wire, could you hold it in place while I nail it?"
  387. >"Oh right! Sorry."
  388. >She opens her wings and flies to the top, using her hooves to hold the fence
  389. >Placing a nail at the edge, you hammer into the wire to hold it in place
  390. >Once one side was held up, you and Fluttershy move to the other side and nail it into place
  391. >She was hovering right above you while you hammer between her hooves
  392. >...
  393. "...It's Big Mac isn't it?"
  394. >Fluttershy flinches and freezes in the air, her wings locking up as an 'eep!' escapes her mouth
  395. >She drops like a rock right on top of you, causing he both of you to stumble to the floor
  396. >Your back hits the ground but you reach and hold onto Fluttershy so she doesn't hurt herself
  397. >Fluttershy was laying on top of you know, seemingly in a daze while you laugh
  398. >But once your laughing fit was done, a blush now crossed your face as you looked down
  399. >Her haunches were laying on your chest, back legs splayed out on either side of your head
  400. >You had a full view of her business while her head was just above you're crotch
  401. >Suddenly, a tiny flash in the trees catch your attention in the corner of your eye, you turn your head to see what it was but don't see anything
  402. >Flutters hastily picks herself up off of you
  403. >"Oh my, I'm sorry Anon! I didn't mean to land on you like that!"
  404. >You pick yourself up and groan
  405. "No no it's my fault, I shouldn'ta said that, I-"
  406. >"Actually, you're right..."
  407. >to be honest, it was actually pretty obvious to see that she liked Big Mac, you just like to tease her
  408. "So the gentle giant huh? Well if you'd like, maybe I could help arrange something between you two? He's been working his ass off lately so I'm sure he would appreciate some time off."
  409. >She places her front of across the other and rubs it shyly
  410. >"that would be nice actually... Do you really think he'd be... well, interested?"
  411. >Knowing the big guy, he'd be glad to have something to keep his attention that wasn't appuls.
  412. "Absolutely, I can talk to him later today and work something out."
  413. >Fluttershy flies back up in front of you and says, "Thanks Anon, that would be wonderful."
  414. >She closes the gap between you two and wraps her hooves around you into a hug, you gladly return the gesture
  415. >Another flash catches your eye though, you turn to look at it but all you see is trees
  416. "Hey Flutters, did you see that?"
  417. >"See what?"
  418. >Maybe you're just seeing things...
  419. "Never mind, now lets get this thing done."
  420. >The two of you get back to finishing the chicken coop
  421. ~
  422.
  423. >After a long afternoon, both you and Fluttershy managed to finish the rest of the fence and chicken coops
  424. >Now, you sit on a stump chair sharing tea across from her
  425. >"Thank you again for all your help Anon, I really appreciate it."
  426. >You sip your tea and wave your hand dismissively
  427. "Oh don't worry about it Flutters, any time you need help with something don't hesitate to ask."
  428. >She smiles and waves her hoof
  429. >"That goes for you too, I'm always here if you need me."
  430. >You nod, admiring her words to you
  431. >It's not every day the two of you can just sit and talk like this
  432. >"And.. well, if you ever need someone else to talk to during Rarity's parent's... visits, you can come here to get away for a while, I know they can be a little, oh how should I say it..."
  433. "Racist? They seem like the silent racist type."
  434. >It would make sense, who would want their daughter to marry a horrifying ape like you?
  435. >Oh wait, nearly everypony you've met has been nothing short of the nicest pony ever
  436. >Except them
  437. >"...I was gonna say unpleasant, but honestly at this point I think you might be right, sorry..."
  438. >You lift yourself from the stump and place your cup on the table, then dust yourself off
  439. "I wish I knew Flutters, well anyways I think I'm gonna head back home now, it's starting to get a little late."
  440. >You look over at the soon to be sunset, guessing that it's probably past 6 already
  441. >Tonight was your turn to make dinner
  442. >After a final hug from Fluttershy, you take your leave down the dirt path
  443. >Hands in your pockets, your mind begins to wander as you walk
  444. >At least today was a nice day
  445. >hopefully it doesn't end on a bad note like last night
  446. >You don't think you're ready to see Rarity's parents so soon after last night
  447. >You'd be happy if you didn't have to see them ever again
  448. >But...
  449. >Maybe you're overreacting just a bit
  450. >They're just looking out for their daughter
  451. >Right?
  452. >She's YOUR wife though
  453. >If she's happy, then you're happy
  454. >And seeing as how last night went down, she definitely wasn't happy
  455. >And that made you angry
  456. >This is where the problem lies though
  457. >You shouldn't be getting angry
  458. >You hate being angry
  459. >There was a point in your life where all you could feel was anger
  460. >Anger towards this place
  461. >Anger towards the ponies who brought you here
  462. >Anger towards the ponies that tried to help you
  463. >And anger towards the ponies that didn't
  464. >You just wanted to go back to your family, back to the people that loved you, and back to the world you knew
  465. >You thought multiple times about what would happen if you just started walking
  466. >Walking and walking until you either dropped dead from exhaustion or you lost your mind, far away from civilization
  467. >Then you met Rarity
  468. >You didn't know what made her different from the others
  469. >She helped you see that this place wasn't so bad
  470. >She showed you that the ponies that tried to help genuinely cared about you
  471. >It was then you realized that being angry in a place like this was pointless
  472. >She took you from the darkness and into the light
  473. >It was like a thousand pound weight was lifted off your shoulders, you could finally stand tall and see this world for what it really was
  474. >You look up and notice that you were getting pretty close to the boutique, but further down it looks like that some stall ponies were starting to pack up their stuff and head home
  475. >Maybe...
  476. >You pick up your pace and pass the boutique
  477. >She had to still be here, she was always the last to leave
  478. >Many ponies were passing you with their stalls, but in the distance you could still see her sign
  479. >Roseluck's flower stand
  480. >You could see that she was almost done packing so you pick up the pace and approach her stand
  481. "Roseluck? Rose!"
  482. >Her back was turned to you, but her head swivels to you when she hears her name being called
  483. >"Anon? Woah easy there big guy! What's the rush?"
  484. >You huff and try to catch your breath, speaking words in between
  485. "Are you *huff* still open? *huff* *huff* I just need a *huff* few flowers..."
  486. >Her face brightens up
  487. >"Of course! What kind were you looking for?"
  488. >You take a deep breath as you regain the ability to speak properly again
  489. "Just... a few red roses is all I need."
  490. >Roseluck nods and turns back to her basket full of roses, pulling out a bundle of 5 and wrapping them in some paper
  491. >"Here you go! That'll be 10 bits!"
  492. >Her smile just beams optimism, but your heart drops as you feel your pocket and realize you left your bit bag at home
  493. >She notices your change of face
  494. >"You don't have any bits on you, do you?"
  495. >You disappointingly lower your head
  496. "Yeah, sorry. Never mind I guess..."
  497. >Before you could turn to leave, the roses and shoved onto your chest
  498. >"Go ahead and take them, I have a feeling whoever your giving them to will appreciate it!"
  499. >Remember when you said that these ponies were the nicest species you've ever met?
  500. "Rose I couldn't just take thes-"
  501. >Cutting off your objection, Roseluck just pushes you in the direction of your home
  502. >"Juuuust take them! How about in exchange you just buy me lunch tomorrow and we'll be even?"
  503. >You nod your head and thank her
  504. >"No problem, just don't forget your bits next time!"
  505. >Another nod and then your off to your home
  506. >You lightly trot until you are finally in front of your home
  507. >She hates it when you do this, but...
  508. >You open the door loudly with roses in hand and yell
  509. "HONEY! I'M HOOOO-"
  510. >"Anon?"
  511. >The voice takes you out of your moment and you look down to see Rarity
  512. >She's giving you that look
  513. >"Anon, could you please tell me what this is?"
  514. >You didn't notice at first, but she had something levitating next to her
  515. >She magiks it to you
  516. >It's a photograph
  517. >More specifically, it's a photo of you and Fluttershy, with your head between her legs and her face in your crotch
  518. ~
  519.
  520. >You were frozen in place as the photo floated right in front of your face
  521. >How could someone have taken a picture of that very moment?!
  522. >Was that the flash you saw in the tree line?
  523. >Why was someone even taking pictures of you in the first place?
  524. >Tha-that's...
  525. >You begin to stammer as questions flood your mind, unable to sound your words
  526. >Rarity just looks at you, eyebrow raised and a scowl on her face
  527. >"Well?" Her hoof starts tapping on the floor
  528. >Okay, okay, calm down. This is just a misunderstanding
  529. "Rarity, this isn't... this, SERIOUSLY, isn't what it looks like!"
  530. >She sighs, her magic cuts and the picture falls to the floor
  531. "Anon... What IS it then? Because what it LOOKS like, is you and our dear friend Fluttershy doing- ugh, I don't even...-"
  532. >You HAVE to interrupt her before she thinks the worst
  533. "Rarity, NO, that is ISN'T what happened! just listen to me and I can explain!"
  534. >You kneel down to get eye level to her, taking on a serious expression
  535. "Me and Fluttershy were building a chicken coop, see? You can see it in the photo."
  536. >You pick it up and point it out, but maybe showing her the photo wasn't the best idea
  537. >She backs up and closes her eyes
  538. >"Just- PLEASE explain yourself! I don't want to believe this!"
  539. >You drop the photo
  540. "Honey, me and Fluttershy were building the coop and she was flying above me! I told a little joke and she just locked up and fell on top of me! This just happened by complete accident, that photo was completely out of context!"
  541. >Her face persist, but finally falls, body sagging and hopefully accepting your explanation
  542. >"Anon I... please tell me this is the truth, I love you with all my heart and I couldn't possibly believe that the two of you would do something like this, but there's a photo of it right here!"
  543. "That photo was just taken at a bad time, Fluttershy fell on me, she immediately got off and apologized and we got right back to work, that's ALL that happened. I don't know who took this picture but whoever it was waited until something between me and Fluttershy happened and took advantage of the situation. I want you to trust me when I say that nothing. Happened."
  544. >You look her directly in the eyes as she does you, your words sinking in as silence takes over
  545. >A few tears start to well in her eyes, then suddenly Rarity closes the gap between you and begins to cry into your shoulder
  546. >You wrap your arms around her in comfort
  547. >"O-ohh I'm soo sorry Anon~... I can't believe I would think something so horrible of you! Of course Fluttershy wouldn't do this! I-it's just the photograph shocked me so much I didn't kno-"
  548. >You stop her and pet her mane to calm he down
  549. "Shh, Shh, it's okay Rarity... How did you even get it anyways?"
  550. >Her crying was now subsiding as she leaves your embrace, looking to a small table that had an envelope on it
  551. >She levitates it and hands it to you
  552. >Grabbing the paper, you observe it closely
  553. >It was brown with a string tie that had "For: Rarity" written in black ink, nothing out of the ordinary for a regular envelope
  554. >Damn, you were hoping some type of symbol would be able to give you some kind of clue on who could have delivered this
  555. >"I just happened to find it slid under the door after I came home from shopping, I have no clue where it came from..."
  556. >You pick up the photo again and look at it
  557. >It was definitely that moment and the angle of it looks like it was taken far away, confirming the flash you noticed when it happened
  558. >But upon closer inspection, you see something off
  559. >Something that looked almost out of focus but was still identifiable
  560. >A brown lock of hair in the very top corner of the picture
  561. >"Rarity, I know you really don't want to see this picture again, but look here, do you see that?"
  562. >Hesitantly, Rarity looks closer and notices the hair also
  563. >"Well, it looks like the photographers hair, I guess that helps but... a lot of ponies have brown hair of that shade, it'd be really hard to narrow it down to just one."
  564. >She's right, out of all the ponies in this town how could you possibly point out the one in the picture?
  565. >The rest of the picture gave no other clues to who it could be, so it looks like you're just gonna have to watch your back
  566. >Is somepony following you now?
  567. You hope not, the thought of eyes constantly on you makes you feel a bit on edge
  568. >Seems like only time will tell
  569. >But for now, the two of you should just put this behind and move on
  570. "Listen Rarity, let's just forget about all this and put our minds on something else."
  571. >She nods her head in agreement and wipes some smeared mascara from her face
  572. >"O-okay, That would probably be for the best."
  573. >The two of you hug in a loving embrace, content with how the situation was handled
  574. "Now, how about we go ahead and start dinner? I could use some food in me after today, and I'm cooking tonight so you know what that means!"
  575. >You smile and stand up, glad that you two were able to resolve this
  576. >"Oohh! I hope it's something as creative as your last dish, I never would have thought of using bread as a bowl for soup!"
  577. >Her smile immediately lifts your spirits, you really do love this girl
  578. ~
