- A young lady named Kendall Bao was interning at the Sternbild County Hospital as she was thinking of using the power of air bending and healing in the place. That way, the air work would blow the old files into the garbage and, of course, with her healing, she would be able to heal herself and other co-workers in case they would get hurt. Although she was born with those powers, she would be a hero, but, she decided a different path, which was being a nurse at the hospital. She was working on the files and making phone calls on her desk, until it was time for her lunch break.
- "Hm, will do these later." She thought as she was putting the paper away, and turned off her laptop. She did see some co-workers in the cafeteria and she did feel awkward that she was the only person in the place that she had the power of air bending and healing, while the others had none at all. Sure, Kendall would use her power of healing to the patients, but, she knew that some certain diseases would not be cured in a snap. So, she decided to keep them to herself and of course, she would not get in trouble by using her power of healing to heal the patients, and let the doctors do the work, although she secretly wanted to. She paid for her meal which was a simple cheese sandwich with a side salad.
- As she was eating her lunch, she felt some wind blowing onto her napkins. "No, not now." She said to herself as she felt her power coming in as she saw that the napkins were starting to fly. As one of the other co-workers looked at what was going on, Kendall looked at them, scratching her head. "Oh, air conditioning must be acting weird again." She said, with her hands behind her back with an awkward smile.
- She knew that she'll eventually come out to other co-workers revealing her powers, and although she has to take the risk, and show them on what she could do, she did hope that they would not tell the big boss. One co-worker went up with a smirk and sat down by her. "Oh, yeah, of course the air conditioning has been acting funny. I see what's going on." As Kendall heard her mentioning that she said on what was going on with the napkins briefly flying, she looked at her with a small gulp. "Oh, you do? You know that I have, air manipulation, and healing?" Her co-worker, Melinda looked at the blonde haired woman with a nod.
- "Yup, I see you healing yourself when you get a splinter while working at your office. It's obvious that you have powers. No need to be ashamed, I think it's pretty cool that you have powers." As Kendall heard Melinda complimenting on her power, instead of making her look like a fool, she hopes that she would at least not tell anyone. "Oh, thanks Mel. Just please, do not share with this anyone. I really want this job like everyone else while interning at the place. I don't to stand out.." "Hey, don't feel like you do. I have to say, Kendall, you are lucky to have these cool air bending powers and to heal yourself. I find that pretty interesting. Just do tell me, how did your powers come alive?" Kendall's eyes were in surprise, as a co-worker wanted to know on where her powers came from. As she as eating her salad, she took a breath, and looked at her. "Well, I was born with these powers actually. I do have a family that were gifted humans, as my father was a hero in the city called "The Wind Taker". My father wanted me to follow his path by making me go to the "All Stars Academy" and even though I liked it, I never personally thought of myself as a hero. I wanted to pursue my career as a nurse instead. Even though, I guess my power of air manipulation came in handy when organizing papers, I guess. I kept it since I want to look professional and be like everyone else. As for my healing, my mother was a healer and she told me that healing was the way of helping others. So, she wanted me to be a healer, and once again, wanted me to attend the academy, like my father did. Once again, I liked the academy, but, I don't want to be like on what my father was. Again, I rather be a nurse, and be a hero here. So, right after going to be All Star Academy, I applied myself through college and wanted to earn a degree in nursing. I took as many classes I could in my dream job and even took classes in office work in case any paper work needed to be done. That's why I'm here."
- After hearing that long explanation, Melinda and understood. "Well, seeing you as the next "The Wind Taker" would have been cool to see, but you working here with power is totally cool as well. I promise that I won't tell the boss. Hey, maybe after work, you can show me on what you can do? Maybe for kicks, and I would love to see your power in detail, and I would want to see you heal my problems with your calming air." Melinda said, with a wink. As Kendall heard that, she thought that showing her powers to other citizens outside the internship and showing friends would be not be really be really be bad. "So, I guess I'll catch you after your internship for the day?" Melinda said, as it was time for the both of them to go back to work. Kendall, looking at the time, looked at her and nodded with a soft smile. "Yeah, I guess I'll see you later." She said, and threw out her lunch and got back to her desk. Even though sharing her deep secret of her having the powers to her co-worker was awkward, at least she had someone be was very accepting of her powers and coming out was not bad. "Hopefully, I'll share this with and the boss would not know." She thought to herself at her desk.
- While going back to work on her desk, she accidentally cut her finger on one of the papers, and when looking to the left, and to the right, she wanted to see if no one was watching her heal herself. So, she quickly touched her finger and then, the bleeding and and cut was gone. "There, that should do the trick." She whispered to herself as she thought of being the only person at the place having powers would not be so bad. She felt a bit honored as that compliment from her co-worker about her power standing out amongst the other workers would not be bad either. Although, of course, Kendall really wanted this job as a nurse, catching up with he power would at least revive the stress from a long day working.
