  5.
  6. >Yamato--
  7. >It's a promise
  8. >Yuki kaze
  9. >Everyone, someday
  10. >[we'll definitely][meet again.]
  11.
  12. >Yukikaze
  13. >and so
  14. >Sumi--!!
  15. >[chinese translator's note: Yukikaze only said "-Sumi" instead of Kasumi]
  16. >Don't you dare call me that!!
  17. >Ehhh--
  18. >in this unbelievable place, that wish was granted.
  19.
  20. >This Naval District's Shipgirls (in no particular order)
  21. >[Yukikaze (Lvl. 111) - the Destroyer of Miracles. Painfully honest and unrestrained. Innocent, possibly. Seems to be rather bad at listening to what other people are saying.
  22. >[Kasuma (Lvl. 70) - The supremely haughty destroyer. In general, her way of showing her love is rather painful. If she likes you, though, she's the type that'll say some kind things now and then.]
  23. >[Hatsushimo (Lvl. 70) - A caring, nurturing destroyer, in battle and out. Though she's always smiling, she's actually quite strict]
  24. >[Hamakaze (Lvl. 71) - a cool and serious Destroyer. Because she always accepts Yukikaze's words without a shred of doubt, she sometimes makes mistakes.]
  25. >[Yahagi (Lvl. 82) - A rather sophisticated light cruiser, and the flagship of this event. Extremely serious. Sometimes incredibly severe but sometimes incredibly kind, a true "senpai".]
  26. >[Yamato (Lvl. 91) - Super super super dreadnought Battleship. Easily brought to tears. Genuine. Cherishes the 2nd torpedo squadron. Full of emotions, her expression can change rather quickly.]
  27.
  28. >Kasumi-san.
  29. >Kasumi-chan
  30. >Shakasumi (I can find no meaning for "西啊," but it's read as the "shaaaa" in "Yashaaaaa". May be a reference to Shaka Zulu)
  31. >Kasumikasumi
  32. >Kasumi--ko-- (another random guess, Yukikaze's just looking through nicknames anyway)
  33.
  34. >Kasu.
  35. >[chinese translator's note: as above, Kasumi only said "Kasu" in "Kasumi"]
  36. >Yukikaze, could you fuck off somewhere and sink?!
  37. >Eh--but I'm trying to give kasu (note: as you can tell, this word shaves the top off the word for Kasumi, so I think it's Sumi--the author also calls her sumi--but it may be that Yukikaze is calling her "Kasu" like before) a nickname--
  38. >You're fucking annoying!
  39. >Sumi is so petulant!
  40. >Who's the petulant one?!
  41. >Ara, you two are together?
  42. >Can I sit here?
  43. >Tsushi-san!
  44. >The fuck is Tsushi?
  45. >Because it's Hasushimo!
  46.
  47. >Hatsushimo, you can deal with that kind of name?
  48. >I rather like Yukikaze's nicknames.
  49. >See--that's why I said Sumi is acting childish
  50. >Don't push your luck! >So boring.....I can tell you don't hate it <3
  51. >Sumi is so cute <3
  52. >ALright that's it, you're sinking
  53. >Yukikaze, the sortie orders have been given, eat fast.
  54. >.....eh
  55.
  56. >Seems I came at just the right time.
  57. >Sumi and Tsushi-san are here too, huh. Well then, you two should hurry up too....
  58. >What?
  59. >[acting as if nothing happened]
  60. >Whatever, it's not important....
  61. >really?
  62. >I'll get right to it!! Thanks--Hamakaze!!
  63. >Yukikaze you putz, you clearly can say people's names fine!!
  64. >Fufu (Hatsushimo)
  65. >[\\Go and sink after all!!//]
  66. >Ahaha--
  67.
  68. >The day all six of us can finally sortie together is finally here!
  69.
  70. >I really want to go thank the Admiral.
  71. >indeed.
  72. >To allow me with my absurd fuel consumption to sortie so quickly...
  73. >Yamato, to say that about yourself is a little....
  74. >But really, I'm glad...this time I'll definitely protect everybody.
  75.
  76. >Indeed--but I'm sure those children haven't worried about "that" kind of thing...
  77. >Yamato-san--, Yahagi-senpai--
  78.
  79. >Yamato-san, about that!
  80. >Don't worry about it, just fight as you will.
  81. >We're fine.
  82. >We definitely won't sink, and we definitely won't let you sink.
  83. >We'll definitely protect you properly this time around, so don't worry too much, and leave it to us!
  84.
  85. >okay?
  86. >E-everyone~~!!!
  87.
  88. >Right, everyone, let's gear up! We're going in!!
  89. >Yessir!
  90.
  91. >[as expected of Sumi, you're absolutely right~~~]
  92. >[You're so annoying Yukikaze]
  93.
  94. >Ha- gi--
  95. >-Chan <3
  96. >[chinese translator's note, only pronounced hagi in Yahagi etc.]
  97. >Wha....?
  98. >Yukikaze's been using nicknames for Kasumi. I'm kind of envious.
  99.
  100. >Try to call me something other than "Yamato".....
  101. >....Ya
  102. >Ya-chan....
  103. >[embarassed]
  104.
  105. >Yahagi-chan!! Today, I'll fight hard until I'm heavily damaged at the brink of death!!
  106. >W-we can do without the whole "brink of death" part, right?!
  107. >I understand! We'll do that! But we must do our best!! Ohhhhhh, my morale is swelling!!
  108. >Don't push yourself too hard, Ya....ya, ya-chan....
  109. >!! Understood!!
  110.
  111. >My dear readers, how are you passing these scorching summer days? It melts through stockpiles and helps humanity realize that where 20k bauxite is enough, 50k fuel is necessary...after finishing E7 with the Bonomisaki unit and welcomed Isokaze, I foemd this fleet to go to E5. While this doesn't compare to the hell that was Fall (2013), this was still a long and painful battle, I realized as I tearfully hugged Isokaze. If Sumi (Kasumi) hadn't showed up with the route support I would have given up halfway through. No matter what, Sumi was da real MVP. When I wrote the draft for this I remembered thsoe days and only realized then that I had envisioned this story would be in waters something like those of Spring E-4. I look forwards to the day that a map that only requires battleships, light cruisers and destroyers, and congratulate the other admirals for their efforts. (note: this is very liberally translated, who gives a shit)
  112. >[random thoughts (damn straight, nigga don't waste my time)]
  113.
  114. >really now, I let down my guard at the last minute.
  115.
  116. >what is it?
  117. >Put your hand on your chest and think about it. (note: was this a joke about Hamakaze's breasts?)
  118.
  119. >Stepping forwards boldly and yet being "the protected"....does it not suit you?
  120. >It's not that. It's just.....I've long since come to hate being left behind like that.
  121. >This time I wish to be "the one protecting."
  122.
  123. >Hamakaze--!!
  124. >Ara...it's senpai.
  125. >Don't worry....I
  126.
  127. (nothing, I'm just pretty sure a page is missing.)
  128.
  129. >[even on the battlefield, Tsushi-san sparkles...]
  130.
  131. >[after returning to dock]
  132. >Ah, oyy---! Good work--!
  133. >Today's battle was super cool--Sumi-chan!!
  134. >Eh....Yamato-san....why?!
  135.
  136. >What is it, Sumi?
  137. >Ara ara, isn't it Sumi?
  138. >[sumi]x4
  139. >It suits you well.
  140.
  141. >This nickname is totally awesome! Sumi!!
  142. >Fuck off and sink already!!
