The Golden Rule

The Golden Rule says that essentially, outside of maybe a few exceptions (and none of them are traditional crimes) (dangerous!), you are free to defend anyone else for free. The fact you are defending someone can never be used against you, in other words their crimes can never be transferred to you vicariously by choosing to defend them.

Of course freedom itself isn't free, so the Golden Rule must be righteously defended. It is one of my re-inventions that I think the whole area still generally adores and prides itself on.
