  2. Name: Sasaki Nobunaga
  3. Advantage: Drive: Infinite Mirroring
  4. [hr]
  5. Age: 31
  6. Gender: M
  7. Appearance: Nobunaga has blonde hair that has a tendency to stick out in two clumps above his head, somewhat resembling cat ears; the rest of it is somewhat messy, but doesn't get in the way, and is kept relatively short. His outfit is a stylized version of an older, traditional outfit; it consists of a somewhat short, sleeveless, cream-colored robe unbuttoned past the waist with a red stripe with violet writing on both sides of the divided center portion. His waist and legs are covered by a well-fitted set of violet pants. He wears a cape that's purple with gold-edged black designs on the outside, and red on the inside. He also wears a set of purple noise-cancelling headphones due to being born with unusually sensitive hearing. Finally, he wears two belts; one a decorative one that's mostly a golden color, and another more practical one for holding his robe and pants on.
  8. Home Universe (optional): BlazBlue
  9. Background: Nobunaga was originally a Librarium scientist and engineer, studying the Boundary and its numerous technological applications - including so-called 'defense' ones. He constructed a number of armagus himself and assisted in the design of several others, as well as the more powerful Ars Armagus; he holds replicas of the choicer ones in the database generated by his Drive. This rather attractive position was abandoned around five years ago (in his time, anyway), first by transfer out of the military segments of the departments and then by quitting the department and the Library altogether; designing weapons that were used against his relatives in Ikaruga was too much for his conscience to bear. Unable to settle for a lesser job (as he terms it) or less pay (the real reason), he turned to bounty hunting, figuring that hunting down dangerous criminals was a good way to contribute to society. While he initially had about as much fighting ability as you'd expect, but he made up for it with his Drive and by extension his effective access to most of the Librarium's arsenal of specialized and highly dangerous magical weapons until he actually learned to fight. He set off after the notorious criminal known as the "Grim Reaper," and was close to catching up to him when he suddenly ended up. . . somewhere else. . .

  13. Advantage: Nobunaga possesses a Drive ability known as Infinite Mirroring. It allows him to record anything he comes into contact with and store its data, retrieving it later and projecting it into the real world. It takes time to analyze something proportional to how physically and magically complex (and in the latter case, powerful) it is, and analysis is slowed if he can't physically touch it. This Drive ability is not limited by Nobunaga's understanding of the subject matter. Projection difficulty scales similarly, and projections can be detonated after use.
  14. Stats:
  15.
  16. Melee: 4. Nobunaga still relies mostly on versatility and unpredictability, mixing swords, axes, lances, mechanical arms, hammers, and even things that shouldn't rightly be called weapons into his melee assaults. He's physically not very strong.
  17. Ranged: 4. Much like his melee fighting, his true effectiveness is having any weapon suited to the situation ready to go at a moment's notice - not necessarily a lot of skill in using said weapon.
  18. Mobility: 3. Not supernaturally fast or endowed with the ability to teleport, but a projected hoverboard or rocket booster does wonders for moving in unexpected directions. Better at sudden bursts of motion for evasive purposes than chasing people down, since it takes focus to maintain a projection.
  19. Defense: 3. Once again, he's a squishy human. If you stab him, he'll die. However, he also has anti-stabbing measures like projected armor, riot shields, energy shields of questionable reliability, etc.
  20. Super: 2
  21. [hr]
  22. Skills:
  23. Ars Armagus: Light Sign (Passive): A blade glowing with energy that's rather more sinister than it appears, and the only Ars Armagus Nobunaga physically possesses. Constructed using fragments of data from analysis of the Azure Grimoire, it siphons power from whatever and whoever it strikes. Increases Nobunaga's damage every time he strikes with a melee attack.
  24. Sensitive Hearing (Passive): Nobunaga's hearing is incredibly sharp, even while wearing headphones to muffle sound. Allows faster reaction to attacks and other things he can't see, as well as making it easier to track foes that obscure themselves visually. As a caveat, he takes extra damage from sonic attacks.
  25. Armagus Assist: Nobunaga summons an Armagus for an ally to use, boosting a chosen stat for three turns. At the end of said three turns, the Armagus detonates; this can potentially damage the teammate in question if they do not throw the item away, but is mostly used for bursts of damage against enemies.
  26.
  27. Supers:
  28. Ars Armagus: Heavenly Sword - An Ars Armagus powered by a Grimoire that gathers energy from the environment, in the form of a gigantic laser cannon. The prototype was deemed unsuitable for field deployment due to being unreliable and difficult to transport (and since it was a prototype, wasn't built to field tolerances), but when you don't actually have to transport the thing and can slot energy into it almost at will. . . Summons the Ars Armagus: Heavenly Sword for a limited number of attacks (4 shots or two turns, whichever is longer.) Fires a yellow-white beam, and Nobunaga detonates it after firing it to its limit. Gets stronger the more energy attacks have been used thus far.

  31. Name: ι -No. 09-
  32. Advantage: Drive: Breaker
  33. [hr]
  34. Age: 6
  35. Gender: M
  36. Appearance: A young man with very light pink hair - in most lighting, it appears white. It's a bit rough and spiky and longer in the back, but there it is tied back into a ponytail. His eyes are a dark red, much like the other Murakumo Units. In and out of battle, he covers everything from his neck to his torso with a dull silver-colored jumpsuit. Out of battle, he wears a three-part cloak whose portions are dark green with white stripes and shoulders, and edged with black - the inside is simply black. In combat, he wears the typical Murakumo Unit armor over the jumpsuit, which is a lighter silver color with green edges on the blades and green accents on the inner portions of the armor.
  37. Home Universe (optional): BlazBlue
  38. Background: A Murakumo Unit smelted in secret by the Librarium. Similar to his later sister Lambda, his armor is made of titanium alloys and other mundane materials rather than the "divine" hihiirokane that Nu is created of. His divergence from the other Murakumo Units, however, started during his smelting; whether it was an unusual power surge (or drop in power), faulty design, or sheer dumb luck, he came out, well, him and not her. However, despite this apparent failure to adhere to base model, the NOL still hoped to utilize Iota, putting their newly smelted Murakumo Unit through a battery of tests designed to test his physical limits as well as the efficiency at which he could be directed. Though his marks were rather below projections, alongside some other aberrations deemed to be within tolerances, his unusual Drive was enough to justify a deployment in the field after a long while. The details of what happened during said deployment are highly classified, but he was recalled shortly thereafter. Shortly after this, the ninth Murakumo Unit was "decommissioned" and the Lux Sanctus Replica that it had been armed with dismantled; though curiously, many parts of the latter shortly went missing, and a later team sent to reclaim the unit from where it rested in a dump was entirely unable to find even a trace of it. . .

  43. Advantage: Breaker is a self-explanatory ability in application, if not in mechanism. Put simply, it allows Iota to quickly and efficiently break targets by striking weak points. The mechanism behind this is somewhat more complex; it analyzes and parses anything that the user comes into contact with, highlighting important functional pieces and failure points. More time spent analyzing provides better data on how to best approach destroying something. Grants a critical chance that increases by 15% each turn, resetting to 0 upon a successful crit.
  44. Stats:
  45. Melee: 6. Murakumo Units, while somewhat better in battle at a distance, are still virtually made of blades while equipped with their weapon, and are programmed and trained to utilize every part of their Murakumo in combat. Iota is somewhat better in melee than his sisters due to marginally greater physical bulk, and is in fact more threatening there than at range, as he has Breaker.
  46. Ranged: 4 Iota's primary armament, the Lux Sanctus Replica: Murakumo EX, consists of an array of armor and eight floating blades that he can manipulate at will. While not particularly suited to long-ranged bombardment, they are an incredible threat midrange and don't particularly fall off in usefulness as one gets in close. Iota is somewhat less threatening at range than his sisters, due to lacking Sword Summoner or other ranged abilities to compliment his normal sword barrages.
  47. Mobility: 4. Murakumo Units are quite agile in close combat, if not supernaturally fast.
  48. Defense: 2. His plating isn't of the highest grade, and while he's more durable than a plain human, he lacks the nigh-indestructibility of some of the later units.
  49. Super: 0
  50. [hr]
  51. Skills:
  52. Act Parser Prototype: A dashing move that moves incredibly quickly in short bursts. Fast enough to make visual tracking difficult.
  53. Levitation (passive): All Murakumo units, "true" or artificial, show the ability to fly under their own power at no real effort; Iota is no different.
  54. Magnum Divider: A rising strike that makes it difficult or impossible to approach the user while active. Iota whirls his blades around himself in two groups of four, which form a double helix shape as he rises into the air. This move has a quick startup that is nigh impossible to stop, but heavy recovery.
