- Rocket went looking around, he was searching for his partner now that he was done with the firework display and helping other skires set up a few other things for the fair. The place was suddenly very lively, many skires had arrived at the fair, some even joining in with helping set the place up which he appreciated their help for. Unlike his partner who decided to skitter away and lurk within the fair, even scaring some of the people who were organizing and setting things up. He could hear their terrified screams and rumors of a tall, dark and lanky terrifying skire that was wondering around the fair but they couldn't see to find him, only the terrified complains of other skires who were unfortunate enough to witness him. He had heard a bunch of skire complaining about it as he passed by them, he rolled his eye in response " Reaper can't simply actually keep to himself and not frighten everyone with his presence, I know it isn't his fault that he looks like that but he needs to stop sneaking up on people or stalking them. How many times do I need to tell him that it isn't pleasant nor nice to do? Ugh, that man likes to make me mad " he thought to himself before he came to a stop by a pole that hang some lights that lit the fair up. He was taking a moment to rest and look around the place, trying to see if he could spot his creature of a husband lurking somewhere within the crowd or on top of a tent or something. He knew that he liked being somewhere high if possible, it gave him the perfect view to watch over everything and everyone and observe things from a safe distance without being noticed himself. It would have given him the perfect advantage as well right now, considering that the sun has set and it is night time now. His dark coat would have blended in nicely with the black sky, the bright lights of the fair definitely helped too. Shining down onto the ground and making the sky even look darker, people were caught up with the fair activities too, they were busy looking down and around inside of looking up. The firework show wasn't going to start anytime soon as well, it was further into the night when the night has fully set in.
- The bearded man stood by the pole, leaning against as he thought to himself. He was thinking if it would be a better idea if he let Reaper find him instead, considering he seems to be pretty good at doing that somehow. He still doesn't know how his husband does it but he does, he knows he's good at tracking people but it genuinely surprises rocket sometime how good he's actually at doing this. He crossed his arms and let out a sigh, still scanning the crowd and the tops of lights and tents for any signs of his husband. The creature just stared at its husband in amusement, he was there the whole time while Rocket kept searching for him. He was on top of the pole that he was resting against, sitting completely still and motionless wondering whether he should say something or wait until his partner noticed his presence. It wasn't like he was trying to hide it either, he simply was being himself and he just found it funny that his partner was looking everywhere but up towards him. He completely missed a spot and Death found that very amusing to say the least. He gave him a few minutes before he decided to let him know about his presence by gently lowering his tail and tapping him on the shoulder with the spaded tip of his tail. Rocket turned cautiously and quickly as the suddenly feeling of being touched on the shoulder, he saw his lover's tail and looked up instantly, knowing that he was definitely up on the pole. Reaper looked down on his husband grinning in amusement, he was gently tapping the pole with his claw now as let out a small chuckle " Missed me babe? I was up here for a while, ya know? " Rocket didn't look very amused by his partner's tactics and response and replied to it with such, clearly expressing that he didn't find it very funny " You were up here the whole time? I was looking all over the place for you! " he said, a tad annoyed as he pulled onto his husband's tail wanting him to come down from there " Get down here now! The fair is up and running! We are going to miss all the good stuff if you stay up there all night, we are already late as it is! " he demanded of him. Reaper let out an annoyed grumble when his tail was pulled, he had pulled it away in response and curled it up against himself as he listened his partner demand of him to come down from on top of the pole, it was a reasonable demand but the creature was being a tad difficult. The place became slightly crowded when things were finally set up and working, he didn't really want to be around that many people which is one of the reasons why he was up here in the first place, it was to avoid them all together and stay out of sight. " Are you going to come from up there or not? " said rocket, who was staring up at him still and waiting. Reaper grumbled in response and let out a loud sigh, he slowly lowered himself and came down from the pole before he stood hunchbacked in front of his husband. Rocket smiled softly at him, he slowly reach for his hand and held it tightly. Stroking his thumb against it and trying to comfort Death itself " Listen love, you have me ok? There's to worry about, we will stay away from busy spots, if there's anything you want. I can just grab it for you so you don't have to be too close to people. People haven't scattered around just yet so there isn't many hot spots yet and they are mostly at the front and near the entrance, how about we grab some good food first before they start running out. How does that sound? I know you want some funnel cake, I saw a stall with strawberry ones! There's a stall selling fried food too! I haven't checked the menu yet but I definitely know they will have a few options that you will like! " Reaper grumbled again " You don't have to hype me up, let's just go and grab something to eat before heading to the roller coasters, I know you wanna ride one of them " he nuzzled his partner's face, showing appreciation to him for trying to help him feel less anxious and offer him distraction. Rocket smiled and nuzzled him back, feeling happy that his plan was working " Eating before hopping on a roller coaster? Do you want us to get sick for the rest of the night love? Sounds like something you definitely would do so we could leave early! I better feel good enough afterwards to play a few fair games or I'm making you play all of them for me! " he laughed in response, he seemed to already be enjoying himself at the fair even though they haven't started doing any activities.
- Death itself and Rocket stood by the fried food stall, they were reading the menu that was placed on the side of the stall as they discussed what it offered and what they were interested in getting for themselves. Rocket placed his hand under his chin as he thought to himself, resting his elbow on his other arm " Do you want to get a big platter and try things together or do you want to get separate items for each instead? I want to try the Korean corn dogs and the fried corn ribs, I want to leave some room for burgers if there's any stall selling any " he told his husband who didn't respond, instead he just stared at him in silence. Rocket gave him a confused look and questioned him about his silence " What? What's wrong? You don't like the idea of sharing? Or is it there's nothing on the menus that you want to try? " he stared at him, puzzled by his behavior. Reaper grinned in response, he pointed at something on the menus and Rocket turned to look at it which prompted to look back at his husband quickly and simply reply with a stern "No." The creature merely let out a chuckle " What? Don't want to tried a fried scorpion? Sounds tasty to me " " I'm not interested in eating bugs. " " You won't eat an insect but have no problem eating fireworks and gunpowder? What kind of logic is that? " he teased playfully " There's a big difference between bugs and that! " Rocket responded. Reaper simply let put another chuckle as he lowered his hand " Suit yourself, I'm going to try the scorpion on my own then. I'm definitely trying the alligator too, we can take two big mixed platters and try them together. There's many things i want to try if you would be up for it, not including the scorpion of course. " he teased again. Rocket smiled softly at his partner as he rolled his eye at him, he knew his partner was a foodie and wouldn't pass on an opportunity to try something new especially if it peaked his interest and a fried scorpion was definitely something he would be into. He hadn't noticed it originally on the menu or he wouldn't have brought his part to this specific stall. Rocket approached the stall vendor and placed their order, he had gotten them drinks too and stood in line waiting for their order to be done. He turned to his love and waved to him " Hey dear, why don't you go and get us dessert while I grab this to save some time? The fennel cake stall is right over there, I would like a strawberry one too, with plenty of cream please " Reaper perked up and turned to look at his husband when he called for his attention, he listened carefully to his instructions before he simply nodded to him, confirming that he had heard him and understood him completely. The creature turned around and scanned the area quickly, finding the fennel cake stall and heading towards it quickly yet silently. As surprising as it might be, the creature was capable of moving very silently and quickly even though it was quite large and strong. It was one of its many capabilities and it surprised many and caught them off guard multiple times, it definitely used this ability to it's advantage many times but now it was simply using it to pass through without others observing it as it didn't want that at the moment. It simply wanted to get something for it and its husband and be left alone, it didn't think it was too much to ask but it knew some people simply would leave others alone and that annoyed it a lot. Reaper arrived at the stall, he spoke quietly and gently as he placed its order. Even though he wasn't trying to be scary, his presence definitely spooked the stall vendor, he basically came out of nowhere for them and that caught them off guard, startled them even. They didn't say much after their spook and simply replied with confirming his order and getting to work on it, they told him it would take a few minutes to get everything fried up and ready but it shouldn't take long. That he can wait here if he would like and that it would be done shortly. Reaper just nodded in response and didn't say anything else as he stood there and waited patiently for his order of fennel cake.
