  1. For his dear cousin. Uri would hear her speak for hours of her past. For Sanna, he would try his best, to make sure that she would not walk the path of a witch again. For five years, he's fought to bring her and the other Arborea back, for five years. He's waited, patiently, till the time would come for him to ease their minds, to rid them of the dark. Uri, would always, be that compassionate lad, always trying to find a better way through every situation for a better solution. But, even then, whilst he dealt with the occult within his cousin, he'd be dealing with the operations made through the shadows... His crew members scattered about the map of esshar, and everywhere, he had eyes and friends in the most unlikely places, caring for Esbern'o while he was captured... But to Uri, this was not enough, he wanted his old friend and Vice Wing free, and so, he made sure to pass such words to the King... So that his crews efforts would not go without gain towards freedom.
  2.
  3.
  4. [08:37] Sanna Arborea whispers: ......this story deserves some drinks
  5. [08:39] Uri Sanctum says, "Drinks huh?... I havn't had a drink since, well.. That incident at the Gala."
  6. [08:39] {Item} You picked up Sake. Dropped by Sanna Arborea. .
  7. [08:39] She sighed and sat on the cushion, passing a bottle of Sake to Uri.
  8.
  9. "How familiar are you with what the occult does to your mind?"
  10. (Sanna Arborea)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [08:41] Taking a seat. He wouldn't really be able to give Sanna much detail. But he could only tell her what he knew.
  14.
  15. "Well, there was Duana… While she was sucking the life essence out of me, it drove me crazy... THen there was that other occultist we fought but... He was downed long before any spells could really affect us."
  16. (Uri Sanctum)
  17. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  18.
  19. [08:42] She shook her head.
  20.
  21. "Not on the victim. On the practitioner. What do you know about its effects on the person who learns it?"
  22. (Sanna Arborea)
  23. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  24.
  25. [08:43] So that's what she meant. Uri thought.. Now more focused on the matter, for it was a broad subject.
  26.
  27. "Well, from what I learned. It makes one evil, it always gives them the feeling of wanting more, to take more and to become much more..."
  28.
  29. He did not fully understand it, just what he was taught at the First Light academy.
  30. (Uri Sanctum)
  31. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  32.
  33. [08:48] She sat back.
  34.
  35. "It's not inaccurate but it paints it perhaps too black and white. It focuses on the ambition. The ambition is a later result of what it does."
  36.
  37. She took a breath.
  38.
  39. "When I first began to learn, Duana asked me what negative emotion I felt most strongly. I told her desire, as it had gotten me into more trouble and I was relying on it to solve a lot of personal problems I was having at the time. It enhanced my desire, made it stronger, made me more willing to see through taboo. But that was the start. The occult works like an infection that feels like a drug. You pull on the negative emotion, you mix it with your mana and you get an intense pleasurable rush. You feel powerful, alive, and there's nothing in the world you can't do. And from there it spreads. All your negative emotions feel good, you start looking for excuses to feel them. Sadness, Happiness, Love, Joy? They become submissive, the low points between your power.
  40.
  41. Do you know Deixis? Cause she was who I almost killed."
  42. (Sanna Arborea)
  43. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  44.
  45. [08:53] "So, there is a deeper meaning behind it huh?.." He listened to her words, and it sounded like the sake was needed for this. Uri would compare the two as he spoke. "So also like being drunk, it varies but you usually end up with a high towards the negative emotions..." He would open the bottle as they continued to share such information.
  46.
  47. "Hm, this makes it more complicated actually---"
  48.
  49. He looks into the sake as he opened the bottle.
  50.
  51. "Last time I drinked this, I ended up stealing the Kings horse and riding it off to the west--- Ya sure you want me drinking this? I can't handle it in the slightest," said the young Captain.
  52.
  53. "But I guess since there will be many victory drinks, why not?"
  54.
  55. So he leans forward to hear her.
  56.
  57. "Tell me more."
  58. (Uri Sanctum)
  59. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  60.
  61. [08:58] She nodded and took a sip from her own bottle, sitting back.
  62.
  63. "I don't remember if you ever went to grandmother's church. In the beach cave, with the illuminated river and trees. Anyway, Deixis was looking for a spiritual place, I took her there. The church always felt calming to me. Cleared my head. But that time....I felt unwelcome, like I didn't belong. It made me angry, I felt like grandmother was rejecting who I was becoming. At a time when I felt happy for the first time in forever."
  64.
  65. She shook her head.
  66.
  67. "Deixis noticed and tried to comfort me but said...all the wrong things. I became furious, and she saw the hints of occult seeping into my magic. I knew she was with the church. I knew she was a danger to me. She was my friend so I didn't want to kill her."
  68.
  69. There was a lengthy paused with this, her eyes closed, reliving the memory.
  70.
  71. "Or so I'd like to tell you. Half of me didn't want to kill her. The other half was steeped in the occult and knew that giving into my fear and hate would make me more powerful in it. It wanted me to tear her apart, to revel in the destruction. Deixis...didn't run. Didn't accuse. She hugged me. It's the only reason she stayed unharmed."
  72. (Sanna Arborea)
  73. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  74.
  75. [09:03] "Deixis.." He thought of the name... Was he thinking of the same person. It wasn't a face he saw around often. But, it would be something of a concern as he heard Sanna out. "She was your friend? For the time?" He asked, as if she had thought of anyone within the church as a friend during these hardships.
  76.
  77. "What made you fight it off entirely?" He asked, actually picturing the moments Sanna spoke to him about. It was hard to imagine his dear cousin in pain. But, if he wanted to understand her, he'd have to look past such things.
  78. (Uri Sanctum)
  79. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  80.
  81. [09:05] "We were friends yes. Her acceptance and agreeing to not tell anyone. It quelled my fear which let me gain control again."
  82.
  83. She took another sip and breathed slowly, mind drifting to a time in the prison.
  84.
  85. "Uri you once said to me you know I'd never hurt you, no matter how gone I was. Let me be clear. The occult eats who you were and replaces it with a you that has no control. Had I gone completely over to the occult I'd still masquerade as me. But had you come to me and made me angry? Or disagreed with me? I would have attacked you. I would've seen you as betraying me."
  86.
  87. She shook her head sadly, disappointment etched across her features.
  88.
  89. "It's insidious. And that's why I try so hard to fight against the occult now."
  90. (Sanna Arborea)
  91. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  92.
  93. [09:11] After hearing such words. He'd lean by to just pat Sanna on the shoulders. Even leaning against her to rest his head onto her the knee closest to him. "You say that, but even if you did.. Someone would eventually stop you right? And bring you back."
  94.
  95. He thought about all the things she brought up, the fear, the ability to conceal such magics behind a false personality. "When it all comes down to it, the occult changes you, and becomes something you cannot control."
  96.
  97. "It's in a way, unnatural, to see someone flip from one side of a coin to another."
  98. (Uri Sanctum)
  99. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  100.
  101. [09:14] She nodded and gripped her cup, hands shaking.
  102.
  103. "You say that Uri but....even though I hadn't even figured out how to shape occult? I was already looking towards witchcraft. My mind had been lost in the occult. And I saw witchcraft as a way to give myself a loyal family that would always be by my side. That I'd never have to worry about being on the other side of a war with. Had I taken that leap? There's no bringing me back. I was on the ledge Uri. We got lucky Uri. I got lucky."
  104.
  105. She took a larger sip this time, trying to drown out too many memories.
  106. (Sanna Arborea)
  107. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  108.
  109. [09:20] Lucky? She says. Did she truly know what luck was? Or was it simply fate that she did not take the route that lured her in with false promises. Uri sighed, but, like all things he saw. There was a silver lining to it.
  110.
  111. "You are now one of Osrona's most valuable resources when it comes down to the occult and information on how to face it. Because you took such a route, you might even be seen as a hero for some... Because you were able to dive into unknown territory, though, fully intent to do what anyone wouldn't expect..."
  112.
  113. He looks up to grab her wrist, to stop it from shaking whilst his head rested on her knee.
  114.
  115. And in his hand, the 4-Leaf-Clover he's kept with him since he was a child lost in the woods. "This is luck... Saved my life many times and I'm sure that some of it has attached itself to you through my wishes."
  116.
  117. He chuckles lightly.
  118.
  119. "Don't fret of the occult... If one day I must, I'll even bargain with the stars to free you from fiendish shackles."
  120. (Uri Sanctum)
  121. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  122.
  123. [09:23] She smiled.
  124.
  125. "Thanks Uri. I'm alright now, really. Only in my lowest moments do I hear even a whisper and I can easily toss that away. But, you of all people should know, Captain. As for Osrona…"
  126.
  127. She shrugged it off.
  128.
  129. "I'm not sure they'll utilize me. They're too set in their ways. They want the Occult to just be evil. Something that's purged out of you and its gone. Like a curse. It's much harder. I've been rebuilding myself. Relearning myself. I've forgotten who I was before it, it was so pervasive. Obviously I have my memories but...what I wanted in a relationship? What I needed? How I'd react to certain things? Gone. Truthfully, Elesius taught me to trust other people again. But trusting myself? Its beyond me for now."
  130. (Sanna Arborea)
  131. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  132.
  133. [09:28] The young Captain would rise up, still leaning back, but now supported with his hands on the ground and arms straightened out. "Well, I can't give many words on that one... For you to trust yourself, it'll take time. Things mend over a period of years..."
  134.
  135. He looks at the sake, reaching for it as he would begin to drink, taking sip by sip. "You trust others, usually, it's the other way around you know?"
  136. (Uri Sanctum)
  137. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  138.
  139. [09:29] Uri Sanctum says, "And Osrona aside."
  140. [09:30] Uri Sanctum says, "You're my cousin... You'd help me pick out the sane occultist if we ever need any on the crew! Hehe. Osrona might not allow it but I tend to give second chances."
  141. [09:32] "Yeah. It was the other way around for a long time. I only trusted myself. Why people trust me....is a bit beyond me. But they do, so I do my best."
  142.
  143. She smiled.
  144.
  145. "Duana was the closest I ever saw to a sane occultist. I don't know if its truly possible. But I'll certainly be willing to look into it if someone claims to be."
  146.
  147. She closed her eyes, breathing slowly, letting her stress, her memories fall away again. Returned to the earth. She wasn't that person anymore.
  148. (Sanna Arborea)
  149. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  150.
  151. [09:36] The sake was kicking in, pretty soon too after a few sips. So, Uri would move from Sanna, sitting on the cushion that was placed for him. Rather than being his laid back self, always lying down rather than sitting up.. This time, was an exception. There was alcohol involved, and the last time he had such, it wasn't a good ride for those spectating.
  152.
  153. "You'll be---" He had a hic-up
  154.
  155. "Something of an investigator for us then, and I'm proud of that, to say the least," he teased Sanna with a gesture of mockery, making himself pose in a way that any interrogator would, trying to be intimidating and stern through a facial expression.
  156.
  157. He laughed moments after, "And if we're lucky, who knows, we might even be as famed to recruit a demon or two and not even know it!"
  158. (Uri Sanctum)
  159. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  160.
  161. [09:40] She smiled again and shook her head.
  162.
  163. "Do I need to cut you off or are you planning to sleep on that cushion and deal with the resulting headache?"
  164.
  165. She ignored the bit about demons and investigator. A demon on the crew might be interesting but she can't imagine she'd get along with it. Not given her rejection of witchcraft and how hard she'd worked at redemption.
  166. (Sanna Arborea)
  167. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  168.
  169. [09:42] He felt a bit lightheaded though he tried to fight it. Putting down the sake and speaking almost as fluently as before. "What? I'm fine, I'm fine..." But all the while, to him, things were spinning.
  170.
  171. Such was clear in his actions, putting the sake bottle down on a tilt instead of just straight up. "What's in the sake anyway?... Taste like water," he tried to be bold through words as if he was handling it perfectly.
  172. (Uri Sanctum)
  173. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  174.
  175. [09:44] She laughs and shakes her head. What a lightweight her cousin was.
  176.
  177. "It's made from rice Uri. And if it tastes like water then you're plenty good. Do I need to walk you to a home? Or just move some cushions to let you sleep this off?"
  178.
  179. She shifted over to sit close to him, making sure he didn't hit his head when he inevitably lost his balance
  180. (Sanna Arborea)
  181. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  182.
  183. [09:47] He shakes his head. "I think I'll rest it off... I uhm, don't--- want anyone in town seeing me---" He had his sights set on the wood. "How the hell..." Because to him, the tables patterns were all moving, shifting like waves in the ocean.
  184.
  185. "Oh ye' it's all coming together," he spoke about the puzzle that moved.
  186. (Uri Sanctum)
  187. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  188.
  189. [09:49] She watched him stare at the normal, unmagical table. Muttering around things all coming together. She raised a hand languidly, a bed of thick moss growing behind Uri.
  190.
  191. "Alright then. Just lay on back, you've got a nice pillow back here. You sleep this off and we'll talk more later."
  192.
  193. (Sanna Arborea)
  194. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  195.
  196. [09:56] Uri leans back as Sanna spoke. "Sleep? I feel like a power source---Whoa!" His eyes widened at the sight of the ceiling. Because to him, that and the bed he would lie on, looked like the arms of a hundred servants tending to his every need. "You guys are so nice, and I don't even pay ye'... Bobbio was it?" He looks to the right where there was nothing but a wall.
  197.
  198. Yea, he was sensitive with almost no resistance to the drink. "Alright alright lady fairy, didn't know your kind could get so big--Y' look an awful lot like my Sannie!" He looks Sanna straight in the eye when he says this. Reaching up to rub her cheek.
  199.
  200. "So life like, this is one hell of a dream," he claims while reaching for the sake to take another sip. "Wow," for the sake was dancing before his eyes. Little stick figure like arms and legs had sprouted from the bottle. Tap dancing, causing Uri to laugh. "Talented little bugger you," he points to the sake bottle.
  201. (Uri Sanctum)
  202. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  203.
  204. [09:59] She shakes her head with a resigned smile as he rubs her cheek.
  205.
  206. "Weird coincidence that I look like her right? You can introduce me later."
  207.
  208. This is followed by looking at the sake bottle.
  209.
  210. "Wow you really have....absolutely no tolerance. Or you hallucinate on a regular basis and don't let anyone know. Maybe I should ask Elora about that."
  211.
  212. She smiled warmly down at him.
  213.
  214. "Get some sleep Uri. So that like a phoenix you can rise from the ashes of a miserable hangover."
  215. (Sanna Arborea)
  216. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  217.
  218. [10:03] He smiled at this, at the woman he believed to be a fairy version of Sanna. "Alright then, but that sake bottle is a great dancer... Should give 'em a tip or two."
  219.
  220. He would finally close his eyes, bringing those hands of his back, resting one onto his chest and the other behind his head for additional comfort.
  221.
  222. Even with his eyes closed, he spoke if only for a little bit before passing out. "Stick 'round' She'll pop up, she always do," he gave her one brief smile before dozing off with a light snore. The phoenix rested in a nest.
  223. (Uri Sanctum)
  224. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  225.
  226. [10:04] She smiled and rolled her eyes.
  227.
  228. "You're lucky you have a crew to keep an eye on you."
  229.
  230. And with that she'd grab a spare cloak, draping it over him as a blanket and sitting back on her cushion, dreaming of times past and things that could have been.
  231. (Sanna Arborea)
  232. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  233.
  234. [10:10] The young man was asleep... And her words were true, Uri was indeed lucky to have a crew watching over him, and he watching over them as their Captain. And, Even when sleeping. He would shift from time to time, changing his sleeping position to where he might even face Sanna and give her a smile as he slept.
  235.
  236. Uri always kept a smile on his face. Even when things were down. But the dream he had was something of their many adventures that he imagined they'd all have together, to finally be at the top of Los'tal, making it a settlement of their own, free from the towns and threats of Esshar. Or at least, he hoped it to be.
  237.
  238. A dream where things were always true, no lies or deception. A place where the best things in life were free. Where time was always spring, and the goals of theirs, always near. The smile he had, the peaceful look on his face said it all. Through this, they made up for many days lost. Happy Days.
  239. (Uri Sanctum)
  240. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  241.
  242. [10:24] Her mind was inexorably drawn back to that night. The night that the world turned on the head of a pin. Everything that happened after... could be traced somehow to that night.
  243.
  244. Deixis had shown on her doorstep, asking to speak to Duana. In Theria of all places. Why she'd come, how she'd found Sanna's doorstep, answers she never received. With a request to leave the church. To talk to Duana about cosmic magic. Cymbal, Sanna, Duana and Deixis around a table. A bard, a witch, an occultist and a member of the church walk into an inn. Practically a joke.
  245.
  246. Deixis got her help and she left. She'd later betray Sanna, leading to being kidnapped by Abel. Cymbal would retire for the night. And from there...
  247.
  248. Discussions. Promises of power. Sanna committing herself to follow Duana. Her mentors voice still in her ears when she recalled the memory.
  249.
  250. '..This is why you're my consort..'
  251.
  252. She sighed. She'd been so happy. Foolish but happy. And then the next request. To learn Witchcraft someday from Duana.
  253.
  254. 'Of course, I'd be happy to teach you about it then.'
  255.
  256. That day never had the chance to come. The last words in her mind from her mentor before the memory faded. After learning of her mentor's bloody childhood. Learning what she'd done to become who she is.
  257.
  258. 'From that moment on, I've been what I am.'
  259.
  260. Was Sanna merely dreaming she was something else? This entire redemption an elaborate trick she'd played on herself? She'd hurt Xyth so deeply today.
  261.
  262. Or maybe it was just the sake talking. She didn't know what she was. Nothing like Duana in that respect.
  263. (Sanna Arborea)
  264. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  265.
  266. [10:31] Uri continued to sleep. Unaware of what Sanna dreamt. You would think, that in a world full of magic, one would be able to look into the dreams of another. But that was not the case here, not between the two. For Uri, the dream was as peaceful as it could be, passionate even!
  267.
  268. On occasion, he would have blinked to see Sanna rest... THe hangover was starting to creep up upon him. But, he'd do nothing else, but try and sleep it away. At most... He would show Sanna the same comfort she's shown him since they were young.
  269.
  270. Simply, placing a hand behind her head to rub. A simple gesture made in his sleep as he murmured. "Our hero," in regards to their family and how he looked up to her.
  271.
  272. Again... For all he knew, she dreamt of a better life.
  273.
  274. But the truth, was far too different.
  275.
  276. He continued to walk upon a path of joyous dreams.
  277.
  278. For him, there was no swing of memories, only a future he'd hope to grab.
  279. (Uri Sanctum)
  280. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  281.
  282. [10:38] The memory turned to a nightmare, banishing her to the dark she'd willingly let herself live just a few years before. Talking to the Sanna she had been, except her own voice was muted. How she'd felt when the occult first started to take a hold, as if her better half was mute. Later she'd hear it scream with each successive loss of herself.
  283.
  284. "Really? This is who you've become? A woman who's been chained. The woman you swore to follow forever dead. Her legacy in tatters. Meanwhile you're chasing a happily ever after. One we don't deserve. One that doesn't exist. Even that man you think is so perfect is terrible at his core. You know that just as assuredly as I do."
  285.
  286. She tried to scream a voiceless response, defend what she thought, but found herself unable to talk.
  287.
  288. "You're weak Sanna. You reached into this part of yourself for strength because you felt like you had no control. And then yougot collared, you let me be taken away from you. And you buried us alive, desperate to believe you were wrong. That you could be good. But we're not gone. When you feel weak you can hear our whisper. One day you'll come back. When that man is dead you'll come screaming to us. Want us to make it better. We can wait. As long as it takes."
  289.
  290. And for a moment she was alone, till she heard one last voice in her ears.
  291.
  292. "The best people die young after all."
  293.
  294. She'd jolt awake, in a cold sweat, shaking violently, noting her still sleeping cousin and forcing control of her breath.
  295. (Sanna Arborea)
  296. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  297.
  298. [10:44] It felt warm. The head of her's that he rubbed in his slumber. Perhaps, it came from a source of overthinking or just, the temperature within the humble abode. He had no idea, what she dreamt of or of the voices within her head.
  299.
  300. He was silent.
  301.
  302. Sleeping with a light snore while she went through hell and back. Dipping into the craziness of the nightmare that was tormenting her. And all the while, this young Captain only dreamt of the very best, while Sanna, his Sannie dreamt of the very worst.
  303.
  304. How much worse could it have gotten though?
  305.
  306. Such was up to how she'd fight the evils from a dream. If she'd see that a nightmare held no power over her. There was a lot of demons lurking about within a world that exist only in the mind. Yet Uri remained asleep and oblivious.
  307. (Uri Sanctum)
  308. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  309.
  310. [10:51] Sanna would not fall back asleep, pouring herself water and drinking it to combat the hangover. She had known it was deep within her. She'd talked to Pericles about this. It wasn't the occult, that had been purged from her. It was the scars left in her from the occult. The memory of who she was. This was perhaps even more difficult. There was no magic to fix this. She had to face that all those things she said and wanted were still a part of her. To be whole she'd not only have to face it, she'd have to accept it. Understand it.
  311.
  312. For now, all she could bring herself to do was shake, drink at her water and mull over what she perceived to be a heart blackened by hate. Forsaken by a world that enjoyed watching her suffer. Or so she liked to believe. She knew most of those were a result of her own choices, or a belief that the world owed her more than it did.
  313.
  314. Another cold glass of water and a smile whenever Uri stirred. Just in case.
  315. (Sanna Arborea)
  316. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  317.
  318. [10:57] Still asleep. The Sanctum turned again, into another sleeping position. Just lying on his back now opposed to being on his shoulders. Probably, the most relaxed sleep he's gotten since things had to be severed with Vivian and forced to survive the wild near Ilburge for a few days.
  319.
  320. At least, when under the roof of another, the problems seemed to go away. And so, once the dream had ended, so did his slumber. Waking up as he'd blink his eyes, trying to get rid of his blurred vision.
  321.
  322. "Ow---" he said in regards to his own hang over.
  323. (Uri Sanctum)
  324. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  325.
  326. [11:00] She pushed a glass towards him with a warm smile, conjuring water out of the air into his glass.
  327.
  328. "Good morning sleepy head. Drink. I'll refill it a few times to get you back on your feet. You sleep well?"
  329.
  330. The lights had spare clothes hanging over them to keep the room dimmer. No fun to wake up to bright lights with a hangover.
  331. (Sanna Arborea)
  332. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  333.
  334. [11:02] Uri looks around for a moment or two to get familiar with his surroundings once again. "How long was I out for?---I didn't do anything stupid did I?" He asked, nervous that the sake might've had something of an overpowered influence on him.
  335. (Uri Sanctum)
  336. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  337.
  338. [11:04] "You slept. So did I. I just woke up a little sooner. Probably just a few hours, I didn't really pay attention to when we each nodded off."
  339.
  340. She shrugged.
  341.
  342. "Why, were your dreams stupid? Oh you did say I looked just like Sannie when you were going to sleep. And called the sake bottle talented. You wanted to give it a tip too."
  343.
  344. She laughed, perfectly normal once again. Her inner turmoil buried beneath who she presented now. Uri didn't need that kind of concern.
  345. (Sanna Arborea)
  346. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  347.
  348. [11:08] He rubbed his head. Looking at Sanna with a lot of embarrassment behind his features. A face that read it all, "Oh no, so that's what it was?... I actually, thought I was talking to a fairy---Maybe that's cause' of my encounter with the two I actually do know.." He shakes his head.
  349.
  350. "Tipping off a sake bottle, I need to avoid drinking in... Professional settings then... Least I didn't do anything dumb this time around like steal from the royals or anything."
  351.
  352. He smiles at Sanna, glad that she was there to keep him company. "Pretty sure that's all your handy-work anyways."
  353. (Uri Sanctum)
  354. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  355.
  356. [11:10] She smiled and waved it off.
  357.
  358. "Think nothing of it. I just wasn't about to let you go wandering alone. I was either gonna walk you to a place or make you sleep here. You chose the latter."
  359.
  360. With a wave the moss receded away, almost seeming to crawl back to her ficus pots by the entrance.
  361.
  362. "You didn't answer the question though. How'd you sleep? Any notable dreams?"
  363. (Sanna Arborea)
  364. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  365.
  366. [11:13] HE shook his head, trying to shake off the idea. "Sorry about that, bad habit of mine but.. I slept really well, much better than I've slept in months actually..."
  367.
  368. He stood up to stretch.
  369.
  370. "It was that island again... Los'tal… We took rule of it, almost ten years from today... Everything there, was well built, it was the start of a new journey and well... Danced with the beautiful fairies there surrounding us---Guess you were the one singing to us haha."
  371. (Uri Sanctum)
  372. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  373.
  374. [11:14] Uri Sanctum says, "It was like a beach full of fireflies."
  375. [11:15] She smiled and leaned back on her cushion.
  376.
  377. "Sounds nice. I'm glad you slept well. Though really, I'm not much of a singer. I'm sure there's better in our crew. I just worry and do me. Same as always. And make terrifying sculptures apparently."
  378.
  379. She laughed and shook her head, looking up towards Uri.
  380.
  381. "I hope we get to see it together."
  382. (Sanna Arborea)
  383. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  384.
  385. [11:17] Uri looked for something to drink, some water if Sanna had already prepared some.
  386.
  387. "Maybe we can get some sunlight upon us...Not even sure what time of day it is honestly."
  388. (Uri Sanctum)
  389. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  390.
  391. [11:19] She gestures to the glass of water she'd put in front of him.
  392.
  393. "Take the glass, we can go on a walk."
  394.
  395. She stood, stretching. The only indication of anything wrong being some shadows under her eyes from the rude awakening disrupting her sleep.
  396. (Sanna Arborea)
  397. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  398.
  399. [11:21] He nods, taking the glass, as well as his first sips of fresh water to relieve the headache or rather. The Hangover..
  400.
  401. At the very least, it was no Vegas and no friends were lost due to drugs.
  402.
  403. "Lead the way, and thanks for the water... You'd be a good help at the clinic if you worked with grandma," he smiles. Thinking that she'd make a good nurse assistant.
  404. (Uri Sanctum)
  405. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  406.
  407. [11:23] Sanna waves to Elora. To most people Uri and her were on a walk. To Elora they both had hangovers and were on a walk.
  408. (Sanna Arborea)
  409. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  410.
  411. [11:24] Elora Renae Otho asks, "Hello Sanna, Uri. How are you?"
  412. [11:24] Sanna Arborea says, "Fine Grandmother just, nursing off a night of sake."
  413. [11:24] Sanna Arborea says, "With water and fresh air."
  414. [11:25] Elora chuckled.
  415. (Elora Renae Otho)
  416. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  417.
  418. [11:25] Uri nods and takes another sip of water.
  419. (Uri Sanctum)
  420. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  421.
  422. [11:25] Uri Sanctum says, "Morning grandma and Miura."
  423. [11:25] Elora Renae Otho says, "Oh I see. Well, eat yourselves some eggs if you get the chance. The grease will help soak up the alcohol."
  424. [11:25] Uri Sanctum says, "It's bright out here aint it? "
  425. [11:25] Sanna Arborea asks, "You're telling me. Can we turn off the sun? For like ten minutes?"
  426. [11:26] Elora chuckled a few more times.
  427. (Elora Renae Otho)
  428. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  429.
  430. [11:26] Eric Blacke says, "Morning Granny, Morning Miura."
  431. [11:26] Elora Renae Otho asks, "Hello Mister Blacke, how are you?"
  432. [11:27] Suddenly awoke--
  433. (Miura)
  434. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  435.
  436. [11:27] Eric Blacke asks, "I'm feeling good. Can we start those lessons you offered?"
  437. [11:28] Miura says, "Wait a minute Eric."
  438. [11:28] Miura whispers something.
  439. [11:29] Uri arched his eye brows at those around him. He blinked a few minutes. Yep, it was that time of day where everything became bright for no reason.
  440.
  441. "Yeah, if anything, wish we could just sit in the shade... Truly, I'd hope that by now, the explorers association would give us notif of the journey I paid for."
  442. (Uri Sanctum)
  443. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  444.
  445. [11:30] Sanna Arborea says, "Just checking if there's any eggs about Uri, then shade."
  446. [11:31] Sanna sits happily in the shade of the tree, putting her back against it
  447. (Sanna Arborea)
  448. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  449.
  450. [11:32] Uri stands with his back against the tree. "This reminds me of the days spent at the academy, the last few days before summer when there was not much to do but... Stand about outside, waiting for the bell to ring... Simpler times... Stressful, but... Simple."
  451. (Uri Sanctum)
  452. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  453.
  454. [11:34] "I...don't really have many memories of lazy afternoons. Guess I wasn't that lucky. Everything seemed so stressful when I was younger. Especially after Aria and Alvin left."
  455.
  456. She shrugged and sipped at her own glass, refilling it as needed.
  457.
  458. "I always wanted you guys to have your childhood. I'm glad that it wasn't taken from you."
  459. (Sanna Arborea)
  460. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  461.
  462. [11:36] He smiles lightly, looking up into the collection of green above him.
  463.
  464. "Well, I'm sure because of your actions, it allowed us to have such an upbringing... As a cadet, Faira and I, were given high expectation, because of the actions and devotions given by our family."
  465.
  466. He leans over to give Sanna a light punch on the shoulder.
  467.
  468. "I always figured, you'd swing by to kick my ass if I didn't give it my all, even if it was to be a knight for only a little while. Found my calling due to those who influenced me, people like you and one other."
  469. (Uri Sanctum)
  470. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  471.
  472. [11:39] She smiled and nudged him back.
  473.
  474. "Course I would have. If you two weren't giving it your all then how could we ever look to those who came before us. They didn't stop for anything."
  475.
  476. Nor did they screw it up as bad as you Sanna.
  477.
  478. "It was more Elora I'm sure. That woman really can do anything. Remarkable."
  479.
  480. She looked into her glass of water, sipping again. Thoughts drifting.
  481. (Sanna Arborea)
  482. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  483.
  484. [11:42] Uri followed in taking another sip.
  485.
  486. "She's our grandma after all. She's taken care of our parents and us... She literally lives the impossible every day."
  487.
  488. He looks to the fountain behind him. It made him think of the stories he's heard of a Rain Multhunder, how he died protecting a sort of Holy Fountain and maybe, a destination for one large family adventure.
  489.
  490. "Sometimes I wonder if all those stories and legends are true, and which ones follow us to this day."
  491.
  492. The Captain would squat down, taking another sip. "I wonder, often, about their stories."
  493. (Uri Sanctum)
  494. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  495.
  496. [11:46] She looked at the fountain behind them as he did, tilting her head.
  497.
  498. "I guess it doesn't really matter so much whether they're true. To me at least. What's important is what we take from those legends. How we use them to push ourselves forward, and reflect on what came before. We're making new legends now anyway, for the ones who come after us. Like Sapphire.
  499.
  500. What's a legend if not just another source of strength for those who hear it after all?"
  501.
  502. She shrugged, setting the glass of water in the grass next to her as she relaxed a bit.
  503.
  504. "Look at me, getting poetic. I must be still drunk."
  505. (Sanna Arborea)
  506. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  507.
  508. [11:49] Taking another sip, and probably the last for it was a glass nearly empty.
  509.
  510. "I wouldn't say so... Sometimes, we think of the most poetic or wise things without even knowing it till the moments passed," that's when Uri began to rub his eyes. Drowsy again from the hangover-tiered sleep he was having.
  511.
  512. "Feels like even now, if I let my guard down, I'll zone out."
  513. (Uri Sanctum)
  514. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  515.
  516. [11:50] Uri Sanctum says, "And in three more years..."
  517. [11:50] Uri Sanctum says, "We'll have another tournament."
  518. [11:50] {GUILD} You contributed 500c to Catnostate
  519. [11:52] She sighed and looked up into the leaves.
  520.
  521. "Who knows what the world will be in three years. Its changed so much in the past seven. We all have changed so much. And the last champion is dead."
  522.
  523. 'Why are you so conflicted about that anyway?'
  524.
  525. "I had such a strange relationship with him. My executioner and jailor but also a confidant. I never would've guessed I'd have private meetings with the stellus in my life and here we are anyway."
  526. (Sanna Arborea)
  527. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  528.
  529. [11:54] "Yeah, the world brings us places we'll never expect to be, y'see? Even now, we're here in Osrona chatting during war-time when I thought we'd all be running around like headless chickens wondering what could be done enxt."
  530.
  531. He tried to give it a serious tone.
  532.
  533. But he couldn't and so, he laughed for a tale that would be funny but never come to be. "What do you plan to do anyways, once the war ends and we can return to doing what we normally would?"
  534. (Uri Sanctum)
  535. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  536.
  537. [11:57] She shook her head.
  538.
  539. "I honestly have no idea. I used to want to own an inn or restaurant or something. I like the work. But recently that's sounded less appealing. Like I should be doing something more. I can't put my finger on it though."
  540.
  541. Her head leaned back against the tree, eyes closed, listening to the sounds of the fountain and the birds above them.
  542.
  543. 'Maybe its cause I'm getting older. Maybe its the feeling that I should be trying to start a family. Who knows."
  544. (Sanna Arborea)
  545. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  546.
  547. [12:01] He nods his head to this. "That's perfectly possible honestly.. Some people want much more, powers and such... I like the idea of a simple life myself, once things are done and done that is."
  548.
  549. "I think this shade is a good help for sobering up... You don't get such a massive headache from the hangovers without the sun."
  550. (Uri Sanctum)
  551. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  552.
  553. [12:04] "Eventually all we can really do is turn the fate of the world over to the next generation. Live out the remainder of our lives to help out, and only take to the field when we're really needed. I did always want to live out a quiet life towards my latter days. I've got some years before that though."
  554.
  555. A stretch and folding her hands behind her head followed this, appreciating the warmth of the day.
  556.
  557. "Yeah maybe. This is gonna be one of those memories you know. Those times we think back to when we're in a bad place?"
  558. (Sanna Arborea)
  559. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  560.
  561. [12:07] Observing Sanna. He agreed with what she said. But even then.
  562.
  563. "Well, until that happens. We'll finish the jobs passed onto us from the previous, and make new journeys for those ahead won't we? It's the purpose anyway, of making new legends, and stories to pass down."
  564.
  565. He'd sit the glass down onto the grass where some of the sunlight would shine through and onto the grass. He was satisfied with this. It should that even through a wall of clarity, one needed light to truly shine.
  566. (Uri Sanctum)
  567. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  568.
  569. [12:21] Uri Sanctum says, "I'm going to go and cut some wood. "
  570. [12:22] Sethon asks, "Have you considered humouring a little sleep?"
  571. [12:22] Uri Sanctum says, "Just who I needed to see."
  572. [12:22] Sethon asks, "A morsel of sleep, perhaps?"
  573. [12:24] Del mer Joyau says, "Mhhh..."
  574. [12:24] Del mer Joyau says, "Yes, more sleep."
  575. [12:24] Sethon says, "For the best, I should think."
  576. [12:24] Uri Sanctum asks, "King Alexander, an ear to lend? For a moment?"
  577. [12:25] Alexander rei Petrakis says, "It would be good."
  578. [12:26] Alexander rei Petrakis says, "It would do good rather, to get some sleep."
  579. [12:26] Alexander rei Petrakis says, "Excuse me, Priest, deacon."
  580. [12:26] Alexander rei Petrakis asks, "Yes, Uri?"
  581. [12:26] Del mer Joyau exclaims, "Mhm..!"
  582. [12:26] Uri Sanctum whispers: Ilburge seems to be as hostile as ever, passed through the other day... Risked an encounter... Myls seems to be lacking on security, I saw anothe rone of our own there captured... Blonde lad by the short name of Betelgauz...
  583. [12:27] Alexander rei Petrakis whispers: Esbern and Betelgauz then.
  584. [12:27] Uri Sanctum whispers: Lemuria was freed, she seems to have citizeship there.
  585. [12:27] Uri Sanctum whispers: We're using this to gather information for the moment.
  586. [12:28] Alexander rei Petrakis whispers: Good. Thank you, Uri.
  587. [12:28] Uri Sanctum whispers: Seems Esbern won't be freed till the war ends... Cetta is also a good ear to lend.
  588. [12:28] Uri nods.
  589. (Uri Sanctum)
  590. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  591.
  592. [12:29] Uri Sanctum whispers: A lot has happened in such a short time.. It's best to keep the people aware.
  593. [12:29] Alexander rei Petrakis whispers: Very.
  594. [12:29] Uri gives Alexander a small head bow.
  595. (Uri Sanctum)
  596. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  597.
  598. [12:29] Alexander rei Petrakis whispers: me if anything else arises, Uri.
  599. [12:29] Alexander rei Petrakis whispers: me if anything else arises, Uri.*
  600. [12:29] Uri Sanctum whispers: Of course, I'd never leave ya without any intel I gather from my crew.
  601. [12:29] Del mer Joyau says, ". . ."
  602. [12:29] Del looks at Alexander.
  603. (Del mer Joyau)
  604. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  605.
  606. [12:30] Alexander rei Petrakis whispers: me if anything else arises, Uri.
  607. [12:30] Uri Sanctum whispers to Alexander rei Petrakis: Also...
  608. [12:30] Alexander rei Petrakis whispers: echo.]]
  609. [12:31] Del stares... He whispered to loudly.
  610. (Del mer Joyau)
  611. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  612.
  613. [12:31] Nebula rei Petrakis whispers something.
  614. [12:31] Alexander rei Petrakis whispers: Yes?
  615. [12:31] Uri Sanctum whispers to Alexander rei Petrakis: For now, Esbern'o remains in good hands.. Asta doesn't know of some members of her society being part of my crew... Viorell is doing a good job at this. But just meeting him has turned into a risk... I started to noticed a shift in activity.. Bandits near the south outside our boarders.
  616. [12:32] Alexander rei Petrakis whispers: Be careful.
  617. [12:33] Uri Sanctum whispers to Alexander rei Petrakis: I will Al'. But you shouldn't worry... If anything, my actions will never reflect Osrona... Shall I be discovered..
  618. [12:34] A short nod to Uri.
  619. (Alexander rei Petrakis)
  620. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  621.
  622. [12:34] Alexander rei Petrakis whispers: Thank you. And I will make sure we have plans to get Esbern out.
  623. [12:35] Del mer Joyau says, "Nap time, farewell..."
  624. [12:35] Sethon says, "Sleep well, Del."
  625. [12:35] Del smiles before taking off.
  626. (Del mer Joyau)
  627. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  628.
  629. [12:36] Uri Sanctum whispers to Alexander rei Petrakis: Of course, though he is a great negotiator himself..Everyday I wonder how he handles Regulus and Asta.
  630. [12:36] Uri Sanctum whispers to Alexander rei Petrakis: Astrid has also mad her move.
  631. [12:36] Uri Sanctum whispers to Alexander rei Petrakis: But she is fine according to Cetta.
  632. [12:36] Miura says, "I have to speak to you later Uri."
  633. [12:36] Alexander rei Petrakis whispers: Good, good.
  634. [12:36] Uri nods to Miura.
  635. (Uri Sanctum)
  636. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  637.
  638. [12:36] Alexander rei Petrakis whispers: I will not keep you any longer. Farewell.
  639. [12:36] Alexander rei Petrakis whispers: Unless there's more?
  640. [12:37] Uri Sanctum whispers to Alexander rei Petrakis: Neigh, no more. You take care, you've got a thousand people waiting for you to assure them of safer times.
  641. [12:38] Uri slid in a horse pun.
  642. (Uri Sanctum)
  643. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  644.
  645. [12:38] The Petrakis King noticed, and he cringed. Puns were not his cup of tea.
  646. (Alexander rei Petrakis)
  647. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  648.
  649. [12:38] Alexander rei Petrakis whispers: And you have people to save. Good luck.
  650. [12:39] Uri Sanctum asks, "Alright, what's that you say? Path Seeker Miura?"
  651. [12:50] * You have been awarded 1 Roleplay Points! *
  652. [12:50] Uri Sanctum whispers: I'll be in the dojo.
  653. [12:52] Miura whispers: Long story short, I've discussed a plan with Betelgeuze.
  654. [12:52] Uri Sanctum says, "There y' are, Path Seeker..."
  655. [12:52] Miura says, "Mhmm."
  656. [12:52] Uri Sanctum whispers to Miura: Brief me.

  658. [12:52] Miura whispers: I'll have to jump them, and steal their remote.
  659. [12:52] Miura whispers: It might incite more war, but it's already too late.
  660. [12:54] Miura whispers: I've also entrusted him to find who captured Esbern, so I can know who has it.
  661. [12:55] Uri Sanctum says, "Come then."

  676. [12:58] Uri Sanctum whispers to Miura: Good, make sure to report everything to him... I've spoken with him earlier about the people such as Viorell who lives there and is apart of our crew.
  677. [12:59] Uri Sanctum whispers to Miura: I'll be right back, less you wish to let him know yourself?

  679. [13:03] Alexander rei Petrakis whispers: Understood. Virgil will or Miura?
  680. [13:03] Uri Sanctum whispers to Alexander rei Petrakis: Be prepared to hear mainly from Miura... Virgil won't be able to leave Myls for a good while.

  684. [13:05] Uri Sanctum whispers to Miura: The king gives you his thanks for your loyalty as well. And your strategy used my friend... Good call.
