Mat,

I've had enough of this terrible company you've been keeping. A lying,
scheming sociopath who leaves everyone involved in her life in tatters is
not what I need. I don't trust her and can't let her wreck me by conning
all she needs to get a cushy life. I begged for rehab. She quits bc she's
special? Offensive is an understatement because NA and rehab and moving in
together is great when you're still using drugs.

It's far too painful watching this happen for me to bear. Of course I'm
always thought of as distrustful but I have been through the wringer and
it's my limit; I know I can't convince you and it pains me to have to do it
because I'm so grateful for all you've done.
I'll always be there for you but I can't help anymore than you
could've helped me w my troubles since HR destroyed me. Drugs, credit card
debt, gambling losses, suicide attempts and reality are a painful road and
I will be there for you if you want, but I'll never be able to accept Jess
- she's trouble and I want nothing to do with her whatsoever. I try so hard
to like her but I'm sick of being played. She SMSd saying she missed her
"mate". I'm only around for a reason and quite frankly can't keep up with
it; I know where you both are and I can't be around it. The paranoid / liar
card hasn't been necessary since I came clean about being an addict.
I'm petrified about what is behind the latest shit we've discussed - please
do not frivolously discuss anything related as it's highly stressful and
risky. I'll pgp info mentioned ASAP.

There's only going to be one of us at the other side of this. I want for
nothing and really idolise your way of approaching stress and situations
which I'd lose it in. I am your mate. I always will be. I'm at my breaking
point and have to move off in my own direction.
