Q: What are you playing on, it is emulator?
A: No, I'm playing on a Gamecube with a Gameboy Player using a Gameboy SP as my controller.

Q: Why did you reset?
A: I either died, failed a trainer fly, or had bad enough encounter luck that getting a PB was no longer possible.

Q: What is Trainer Fly?
A: The Trainer-Fly glitch is activated by escaping from the sight range of a trainer by using Dig, Fly, Teleport or an Escape Rope just as you scroll them onto screen. You then battle a trainer or wild Pokemon which has a certain Special stat corresponding to the Pokémon you want, then return to the map where you escaped from the trainer to encounter the Pokémon, in this case Gengar.

Q: How did you get a Lvl 100 Gengar?
A:  Gengar himself is obtained using the Trainer-Fly glitch, and is leveled to Lv100 using Experience Underflow.

Q: What is Experience Underflow?
A: Experience Underflow is a glitch caused by Pokémon in the Medium Slow experience group calculated to have -54 experience at Lvl 1 (which is the reason why no Lvl 1 Pokemon exist naturally) in RBY and GSC. When these Pokémon gain less than 54 experience the game interprets their negative experience as 16777162 instead and level them instantly to 100.

Q: Did the game just crash?
A: No, it just takes a while for missingno to appear.

Q: How did you encounter Missingno?
A: By using a trainer fly to store a battle in viridian, then having Starmie as my last encounter.

Q: Why do you catch Missingno? I thought that was dangerous?
A: As most people know, encountering a Missingno increases the quantity of the item in your sixth slot. Specifically, if the quantity is less than 128 (which it will always be if you don't glitch to begin with), 128 is added to the quantity. But an addition that most people don't know is that by then catching the Missingno, the duplication happens again. By encountering the Missingno, we increase the quantity from 1 to 129. Then we use 2 of the item in the battle to reduce the quantity to 127, then the catch will increase the quantity to 255.

Q: What are you doing with the menu?
A: I am doing very specific switching of items to first let me access below the normal menu, and then change some properties in the game to allow me to get to the hall of fame when I exit the room I'm in.
