- > miya was born into quite the rich family. her father owned a food company with factories in both south korea and japan, and he frequently had to go back and forth for business purposes, bringing his family along with him. of course, miya and her sister mira had to learn japanese in school and take private classes to catch up with the rest of the class. the stress from moving between the two countries and re-adjusting made miya a very adaptable person. she also hence tends to not trust people as easily since she usually moves apart from her friends anyway.
- > of course, being wealthy, miya's mother booked ballet classes for both her and her sister. miya even wanted to be a ballerina at some point in her childhood. however, it was a little too strenuous for her to continue pursuing it as a career path. she also took vocal lessons, and is classically trained. she started falling in love with musical theatre and would watch bootlegs online whenever she could. she also started taking dance classes for different styles such as jazz, jazz funk and hip hop.
- > miya had always loved pop music and the groups active in the korean industry. being confident in her vocal and dance abilities, she auditioned for an entertainment company with the support of her parents; mira had shown interest in business and economics anyway, so miya being the artsy child wasn't too much of a problem. after years, miya had finally been able to debut; bringing a smile to the family's faces.
