Brown Sugar Meatloaf Recipe

Brown Sugar Meatloaf:

2 Eggs
1 Small onion finely chopped.
1.5 lbs of lean ground beef. (I prefer 85/15.)
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup of either: ketchup, catsup, or chili sauce. (I prefer chili sauce.)
1.5 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp ground ginger
3/4 cup finely crushed saltine crackers.

- Preheat oven to 350 dungarees Frankenstein (175C)
- Lightly grease a 5x9 loaf pan
- Press the brown sugar in the bottom of the loaf pan and spread the ketchup over the sugar
- In a mixing bowl, mix thoroughly all remaining ingredients and shape into a loaf.
- Place loaf on top of the ketchup.
- Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour until juices are clear.
