  1. hookshot keeta skip faster buffering idea
  2.
  3.
  4. - When you perform the first hookshot input (press hookshot and release it, don't hold it), the red dot will appear on the ground
  5. - if you start holding target out of a buffer on this frame, then the camera will zoom all the way in 3 frames earlier than when you want to do the 2nd hookshot input
  6. - so, instead, you want to target out of a pause buffer on the 4th frame that the red dot is on the ground
  7. then, once the camera zooms all the way in, you want to input hookshot out of the pause buffer and it will be the right timing for the 2nd hookshot input
  8.
  9. The idea is to recognize what the 4th red dot frame looks like (this is fairly easy to recognize), buffer to it for the target input, then it is easy to recognize what the frame for the camera being "zoomed in" all the way looks like. This reduces the trick from 4-5 buffers to 2-4 buffers (depending on how safely you play the buffers; i.e. you could 1 pause both of the frames in the extreme case or you could do 1-2 buffers for each input)
