DISTRESS SIGNAL gs Skyler! (ArthurFrankDoppTheo)

<DMaw>: It's a cold, chilly Saturday night at Buck Belringer's Shool for Gifted yadda yadda you get the drill. Y'all are doing whatever you do during a Saturday night, which for the purpose of my personal convenience was sitting alone inside wishing you were invited someplace.
Reverb pretty conveniently does that for the most part anyway.
Okeanos doesnt have a room yet, so hes talking to ali about the weather and stuff
<DMaw>: Suddenly, only the people specifically doing this rp riiiiight now get a distress beacon from someone's S-Watch.
<DMaw>: It appears to be coming from a wooded area some 40 miles [direction wooded area is from school].
Reverb sighs, looking at the watch. She looks out of the window, opening it and letting the cool air in.
<Reverb>: "Just my luck..."
<DMaw>: It might be best to take the S-Jet, unless you have an equally convenient mode of transport.
Reverb leaps out of the window, vampire powers making it very convenient to cover distance.
HabeusKaiju is in his office, when he gets the signal. He rushes outside, and hops on his moped, heading toiwards its
<HabeusKaiju>: *beep* *Beep*
Okeanos doesnt know about the s-jet, so hes gonna have to run
Okeanos runs to the destination
Reverb runs through the forest, taking the most direct route she can.
<DMaw>: You all happen to meet paths about halfway there despite the huge differences in speed. Because it's easier for everyone that way.
Okeanos gets there and waves to the others
HabeusKaiju has to slow down his speedy moped, as he waves to the others
<DMaw>: The distress beacon stops about halfway there, your watches tell you it's because whatever was making it was destroyed.
<HabeusKaiju>: Hey guys, what's up?
Doppler rushes in, the last of the three to make it
<Reverb>: "...shit. That is not good."
<Doppler>: "...Shit"
<Okeanos>: "Well then lets carry on"
Okeanos keeps going
<Reverb>: "We don't have a signal."
<HabeusKaiju>: >3]
<HabeusKaiju>: Well, We know the general direction, right?
<Reverb>: "I was taking the most direct route I could. It should be north of us, just about."
<DMaw>: As you get closer to where the signal was coming from, the are looks slightly more rocky and barren. A large rock outcrop, complete with a sizable cave entrance, can be seen. A feint purple glow can be seen coming from deep inside.
<HabeusKaiju>: Ah man....
<Reverb>: "Great, mystical purple glow."
HabeusKaiju parks his scooter, and locks up the bike
<DMaw>: For those of you with super-vision, you can't see what's going on too deep. You'd have to turn a corner inside the cave to see whatever's making the light.
Doppler taps the side of the cave, sending a soundwave almost like echolocation to tell where he's going
<DMaw>: For Doppler in particular, the acoustics of the cave are an absolute mess. The returning sound is jumbled and hard to interpret, but there's someone - or something - inside.
HabeusKaiju walks over, and tries to head inside, turning his robot arm into a flashlight
Okeanos continues on jogging inside the cave hummin
<HabeusKaiju>: Stay behind me, alright, kids?
<Doppler>: "There's somebody inside"
<Okeanos>: "This is fun, we are going to have fun today"
Reverb sighs, forming a weapon in hand. "Guess there's nothing for it, then."
<DMaw>: As you turn the corner, you see another small hallway leading into a large, circular cave "room." Stalagmites and stalactites is all over the place, except the center, which appears to have been manually smoothed out on the floor. Inside you see a monstrous, 8-foot Middle Eastern man pouring either salt or chalk (hard to say, who cares?) in a large, (1/2)
<DMaw>: (2/2) intricate circular pattern in the center. His left arm is covered in golden scales, and his arms and torso appear to be impaled in a symmetrical pattern with some of the stalactites. In the center of this, you see Skyler, a bloody unmoving mess, with the same pattern of rocks piercing through his body and keeping him rooted to the ground.

<Doppler>: "ooooooh shit"
Hezekiel turns around casually to look at the group, before returning to his work. The purple glow appears to not have been from a purple light source, rather a combination of Skyler's blue aura and some torches burning red.
<Reverb>: "Jesus christ..."
Okeanos waves at the middle eastern man "Hello, did you send a distress signal?If not, Im afraid we will have to kick your ass"
<Hezekiel>: "It would be wise to stay back for a moment, it took a good amount of work to get all of this prepared."
<Okeanos>: "We are the s-men, no one ever said we were wise"
Hezekiel finishes spreading his dust and tosses the bowl aside, and walks over to Skyler's body. Corpse? Hard to say. Hope for the best, viewer audience.
Reverb throws her blade at the man, rushing to attack him
Hezekiel casually flicks the blade aside with his golden arm, and the rocks on both himself and Skyler begin to grow a bright white. Suddenly, Skyler's blue aura expands outwards, creating a large forcefield containing only Hezekiel and himself.
HabeusKaiju tries to fire a concussive grenade at the man
Okeanos punches it
<Hezekiel>: "I won't contest that. Now sit back and watch as I gain yet another birthright of mine."
Hezekiel 's protective barrier won't budge an inch, but it ripples when hit.
Reverb punches at the barrier repeatedly, calling Doppler over.
Hezekiel takes out two of the stones in his back and the two in Skyler's, and then grabs both of the kid's wings with his golden arm.
Doppler comes over, watching the ripples
Okeanos punches the shield more
<Hezekiel>: "It was easier than you might expect, getting all of this together. I suppose it was fate that made the only useful child in your worthless academy one who could be so easily mislead."
Hezekiel 's barrier seems to be rooted on a few of the stalagtites on the ceiling, which are also glowing white. They budge when the barrier is hit.
<Hezekiel>: "And, now, you all suffer for his sins."
<Doppler>: "Whats the idea, Frankie?"
<Reverb>: "You can manipulate sound, yeah? And sound is simply waves, so..."
Okeanos jumps up and hits the stalagtites
Hezekiel 's golden arm begins glowing the same blue as Skyler's aura, and then suddenly his arm takes on a menacing maroon hue. Which spreads to Skyler's wings, before Hezekiel steps on the child's head for leverage and rips them off with a loud, grotesque snapping sound.
Doppler nods then presses his finger to the barrier, amplifying the vibrations rippling through it and making them intensify
<Hezekiel>: Okeanos had the right idea all along. The barrier fades away.
Okeanos tries to fall punch hezekiel
<Hezekiel>: "Now, you caught me at a bad time, but I'm still more than capable of showing you what I'm capable of."
<HabeusKaiju>: Woah
<HabeusKaiju>: HOW BOUT NO!
HabeusKaiju tries to fire a beam of electricity from his mouth at Hezekiel
Hezekiel puts the aura wings on his back, which begins taking an unstable, amorphous shape until bursting out as large, draconic wings of red. He uses his dragon arm to catch Okeanos by his fist, and fling him into the wall
<Reverb>: "Hey, Doppler, remember the little detail about hearing /everything/?"
<Doppler>: "Yes?"
Hezekiel looks over to HabeusKaiju before being pelted by electricity, which begisn pushing him back until... he starts catching it in his own mouth.
Okeanos is flung into a wall
<Reverb>: "How about we reverse the flow and give you a concentrated dose of pure noise?"
Hezekiel seems to begin sucking the electricity in faster than HabeusKaiju can produce it, drawing it out of his body forcefully
<Doppler>: "....Sounds like a plan"
<Reverb>: "Right, then get ready."
HabeusKaiju starts to shake, as he goes down on one knee, and shuts his mouth
Reverb takes off her headphones, molding them in her hands into a loudspeaker, aiming it direct at Doppler.
Okeanos gets out of the bedrock and starts running at hezekiel
Hezekiel cackles maniacally as the spikes on his body cackle with electricity, which he fires from his finger as a large bolt at Okeanos
Doppler takes a deep breath, throwing off his jacket and revealing the small holes along his arms. Air around him vibrates as his augments go into full blast.
Okeanos is fine suprisingly (thats actually to be revealed later) and gets a punch at hezekiel
Hezekiel tanks the punch with no visible damage, but is still pushed back a good deal on the smooth surface
<Doppler>: "Go!"
Reverb can even at this range pick up dozens of email and texts, becoming a focused blast of noise.
Okeanos attatatata
Hezekiel uses one of his massive dragon wings to clothesline Okeanos off his feet
Okeanos falls back on his hands
HabeusKaiju gets up, and shoots a tazer into his arm, slightly rejuicing himself
Okeanos uses them to push off the ground and kick at heze
Hezekiel is knocked onto the ground, and lets out a low grunt of pain as the stones in his chest collide with his ground to make a clacking noise
Doppler takes in everything Reverb is putting out, the room almost going entirely silent as the sound is pulled into one point, then he releases it at once at Hezekiel. It booms into him, the concussion already being strong but the real killer being in where its going. The sound bull rushes in through his ears, assaulting his senses and brain.
Hezekiel stands up as he's attacked. He smiles as he doesn't seem to be bothered by the brute force of the attack, until as he stands up further the stones lodged in his shoulders begins to crack and crumble apart, which appears to be causing some level of agony to the man
<Hezekiel>: "YOU, IIIIINSOLENT, /PIGS/!"
Hezekiel reaches his scaled arm forward, which begins absorbing the sound cannon blast
HabeusKaiju aims his arm gun, and fires a grappling hook at Hezekiel's torso
Hezekiel 's torso rock is also shattered by the hook, which then hooks around his side
Hezekiel pulls HabeusKaiju forward by the hook with his normal arm, and uses the other to shoot a sound cannon at him
<Hezekiel>: "I WILL RULE YOU!"
Doppler sees him try to direct the sound at Hab, cuts the assault short as to not hurt Hab
<HabeusKaiju>: oh crap!
Hezekiel lets out another grunt of pain as the holes left in his body begin to seep out the same maroon energy his wings are made of
HabeusKaiju tries to dig his heels in, and do a tug of war with HabeusKaiju
<HabeusKaiju>: *Hezekiel
<Reverb>: "Hmm..."
Hezekiel wings the tug-o-war, thanks to his ripoff sound cannon
<Reverb>: "Go for the rock! Break it with all your might!"
Okeanos gives heze a bear hug breaker while hes in the tug of war
<Hezekiel>: The stones in Hezekiel's back are white-hot to the touch when Okeanos tries hugging him.
<HabeusKaiju>: Wait a second...
Okeanos burns his arms but used to high temperatures and pressures
HabeusKaiju activates the retreat line on his hand, launching him in a straight line towards HabeusKaiju '
Doppler gives a short burst of sound to Hezekiel's leg, still having some of the buildup from the cannon left in him
<HabeusKaiju>: *Hezekiel
Hezekiel lets out a grunt of pain as the stones in his back also crumble, but he blasts maroon energy out at Okeanos to send him flying away
<HabeusKaiju>: Every time!]
Okeanos gets sent flying into the wall again
Hezekiel is knocked back and into the air by the combined force of by HabeusKaiju and Doppler
<Doppler>: "Which rock? He's got rocks all over him"
<Reverb>: "They all seem to tie into his power..."
Hezekiel appears to be on his last legs as he gets up and shoulders HabeusKaiju off of him, and sends him flying into another wall. Many wall craters today.
Hezekiel stumbles over and rips a stalacmite off the ground, and shoves it into one of his wounds
Okeanos gets out of the wall
<Hezekiel>: "Whelps... /pigs/, m-m... mortals!"
Okeanos has a very bad idea
<Okeanos>: "Lets break the cave"
Hezekiel slams his hand into the ground, and suddenly a large stone fist erupts out of the ground and punched Reverb in the... everything. The fist is as large as her entire body.
Doppler focuses heavily before he begins to thrust his hands forward repeatedly, sending concussive blasts of sound at the rocks across his body
<Reverb>: "...that might just work."
<Okeanos>: "HABEUSKAIJU, assume your giant form. Reverb, and doppler head closer out of the cave and use the sound attack to distablize the structure"
Reverb slams right into the ceiling. She groans, slowly pulling herself out.
<HabeusKaiju>: Yeah, kids, things may get big, get ready, alright?
<Doppler>: "What about Sky?"
<Reverb>: "Take 'im."
Hezekiel lets out a roar of fire as the rocks continue to shatter across his body
<Okeanos>: "Take him with you"
<Doppler>: "Reverb, I'll keep em down you get Skyler" he says, shattering more rocks
<Hezekiel>: "YOU, ARE, /NOTHING/."
Okeanos takes a runners position, and then starts running through the walls shaking the sides and the structure
Hezekiel rips out a large chunk of stone with his off hand, and launches it at Doppler
Reverb nods, rushing into the main circle. She slips a hand under Skyler's body, tossing him over her shoulder.
HabeusKaiju runs, and tries to punch the rock
<HabeusKaiju>: Guys, get Skyler now! He might need medical!
<Doppler>: "Lets move quick!" he says, narrowly being saved from the rock
Hezekiel continues to simply rush around, shoving mroe spikes back into his wounds. His previous, regal demeanor is slowly becoming animalistic, bordering feral
Okeanos continues reckin shit
<Hezekiel>: The cave's structure is slowly falling apart. You're gonna need hab to go giant if you want to finish the deed, though.
Doppler runs out motioning for Reverb to follow him
Reverb rushes out of the cavern, nodding.
HabeusKaiju fiddles with his belt, and starts to grow giant size
Hezekiel looks around menacingly, his wings beginning to flicker out. He suddenly rushes at HabeusKaiju, right as it's too late and he grows to giant sizes.
<Hezekiel>: Hab grow up and outwards, and after some mild to major discomfort, he begins breaking through the ceiling and causing enormous chunks of rock to begin falling into the structurally unsound cavern
<Hezekiel>: "I WILL *NOT* BE DENIE-"
Doppler catches his breath as he makes it out, looking over to Reverb
Hezekiel is crushed by a mass of boulders several times his size.
Reverb is right behind Doppler, Skyler in tow.
<Doppler>: "You think they're alright?"
HabeusKaiju rises out of the ceiling, letting out a monsterous roar
<Reverb>: "They should be."
Okeanos punches out of the rubble "okeanos vincit omnia"
Doppler nods, then looks over Skyler
<DMaw>: Skyler has 6 large spikes that go so deep that they come out on the other side of his body. Some blood is caked around them, it seems they've been there for... a while. He's breathing - but he has no pulse.
<Doppler>: "....Shit"
<Reverb>: "Fuck, we need to get a pulse going..."
<HabeusKaiju>: HEY GUYS
<HabeusKaiju>: YOU OKAY?
<Doppler>: "I'M FINE, SKYLER DOESN'T HAVE A PULSE"
<HabeusKaiju>: THATS BAD!
<Reverb>: "SHRINK DOWN, WE NEED SOME VOLTAGE FOR THIS!"
<HabeusKaiju>: GIVE ME A SECOND
HabeusKaiju shrinks down to regular size
<Reverb>: "Okay, think about it. A defibrillator uses minor shocks to induce a rhythm in the heart."
<HabeusKaiju>: Don't worry, I made sure I know how to use these
<Reverb>: "I think we can also use Doppler's power to assist in this?"
HabeusKaiju rubs his hand together, and rest them on Skyler's chest
<HabeusKaiju>: How so?
<Doppler>: "How?" he looks over

Skyler flinches some when electricity goes through his nerves, and goes back to lying there
<Reverb>: "A pulse, a steady rhythm, I dunno."
<Reverb>: "...I think it would be good to get the spikes out, though."
<HabeusKaiju>: Maybe we should deal with the rocks?
<HabeusKaiju>: Francesca, can you make a scalpel of some sort?
<Doppler>: "...We need to get him to proper medical facility..."
<Reverb>: "You underestimate me, lizard."
<Reverb>: "And we might not have time, it's 40 miles to the school alone."
<Okeanos>: >taking the spikes out]
<HabeusKaiju>: Right, yes
<Okeanos>: that is a terrible idea]
<HabeusKaiju>: no one here knows medicine...
Skyler coughs some blood out of his mouth
<HabeusKaiju>: Listen, Reverb, dial 911, I'll keep shocking him alive, alright?
<Okeanos>: "Wonderful hes alive"
HabeusKaiju rubs his hands, and deliver another shock to Skyler
Reverb sends a transmission through her headphones, signalling the nearest hospital.
Skyler flinches again, and then coughs up more blood
Doppler panics somewhat, almost certain this is the mission someone dies on him
HabeusKaiju checks Skyler's pulse
<Skyler>: The nearest hospital signals back that they've found your location and will send a helicopter, Reverb.
Skyler still has no pulse.
<Reverb>: "They'll be sending a helicopter our way soon."
<Doppler>: "ohgodohgod"
<HabeusKaiju>: Good. Doppler, panicking ain't gonna fix this. Calm down, alright?
<Doppler>: "He doesn't have a pulse he's legally dead by now..."
<Reverb>: "Legally."
<Reverb>: "But not fully."
<Reverb>: "Get a fucking pulse in him, Doppler."
<HabeusKaiju>: Yeah, I was legally dead, and look at me now
<Reverb>: "Use your sound."
<HabeusKaiju>: alright, trying again
HabeusKaiju rubs his hands, and administers another shock
<HabeusKaiju>: CLEAr
Okeanos continues being there and worried
Doppler presses his fingers onto him, sending waves to try to mimic heart flow
Skyler flinches again. Doppler is successful enough, so long as he keeps up his assistance Skyler has a pulse. It stops when Doppler isn't manually making it happen, though.
Doppler expends his energy trying to keep his pulse going
<Skyler>: Skyler continues being alive enough until the sound of a helicopter quickly approaching the scene can be heard.
<HabOP>: He good?
<Skyler>: The helicopter lowers in the clearing made by the destroyed cave, as two men in medical uniforms jump out the back and put Skyler on a stretcher
<Doppler>: "shitshitshit"
<Skyler>: You can overhear them talking back and forth about "muties getting civilians hurt again" and as a woman also comes out, with a clipboard in tow
<Skyler>: She looks around the group and says "Do you know who this boy is?"
<HabeusKaiju>: Yeah, I do
<Doppler>: "Skyler Gibson. He's a mutant from our school"
<HabeusKaiju>: Skyler Gibson, thank you, Doppler
<Skyler>: She looks down and begins writing. "What happened? What are his injuries? What were his powers?"
<HabeusKaiju>: kidnapped by a gu-OH CRAP!
<HabeusKaiju>: Be right back, you kids, answer anything she ask truthfully, okay?
HabeusKaiju runs off, and grows to giant size, as he tries to remove the rock that buries Hezekiel
<Doppler>: "We got a signal that he was in distress and found him being attacked by a man in the cave"
<Doppler>: "We rescued him out of there. He has rocks in him, no pulse"
<Skyler>: Hezekiel is gone. Disappeared.
<HabeusKaiju>: CRAP
HabeusKaiju fiddles, and srinks down to tiny sized kaiju
<Skyler>: "Right... We'll do everything we can for him then. Thank you for calling us. He'll be at *coughcough* hospital, we have some of the best emergency care in the country."
Doppler nods
<Skyler>: The woman looks back at the group with some concern, and then follows the men back into the helicopter. The blades begin spinning faster again as it takes off into the air.
<Reverb>: "...you think he'll be okay?"
<Doppler>: "I hope so"
<Reverb>: "Admittedly, I only care because you do."
Doppler looks intensely worried, his hands crossed over his chest gripping his arms in the cold
<Doppler>: "I... sort of know, I appreciate that you are honest"
Reverb takes off her overshirt, handing it to Doppler.
<Doppler>: "Thank you..."
<Reverb>: "It'll be alright man."
<Doppler>: "...We should get going, its 40 miles out and the chopper didn't give us a lift" he doesn't dwell on a subject too long
<Doppler>: "I should get back before I get frostbite"
<Reverb>: "Got it. Wanna piggyback?"
<Doppler>: "...piggyback?" he sounds utterly confused
<Reverb>: "Yeah. You know, hop on my back and I carry you?"
Doppler was about to say that it would just slow her down before he remembers she's got extra powers now
<Doppler>: "...Alright."
<Reverb>: "Well, hop on already."
Doppler sighs, feeling a bit awkward but hopping on her back, holding on as best he can.
Reverb smirks, hopping up and down before running along the forest path
Doppler closes his eyes and holds on for dear life as she speeds off
HabeusKaiju drives his moped off back to the beach
<HabeusKaiju>: *beep* *beep*
