  1. The dragon ruled over his mountain an' pile of stolen treasures with great ferocity! He burned, plundered, an' slaughtered without a care fer no life but 'is own. Talon, fang, an' fire rended the lan' asunder 'til not a single piece of cooper remained an' all but the foolish er brave held fast! Where there once was farms were nothing but scorched earth. Where mighty cities an' castles once stood watch now nothin' but charred ruins lied. When that beast was finished, the entire Highguard kingdom was nothin' but char an' rubble. The king cried fer help from all kingdoms of the Stormlan's, he did. Far an' wide that king begged fer help an' shining knights traveled 'ere one by one to slay the mighty beast wit their great silver an' golden swords of dragon slaying. Each an' 'erry one of them there knights climbed to that great peak, the Skyflame Mountain, an' one by one them there knights were left as nothin' but burnt crisps of armor.

  3. That king thought it was all lost, he did. At least 'til a stout dwarf walked right on into his hall, ha! That there dwarf looked 'round at the king's empty halls where not a single knight stood no more. He shouted out, "King! I come 'ere to lend a dwarf's han' to yer small problem." an' that king said back "Small problem? Tis dragon has split my kingdom in two an' left nothin' but ash!". That dwarf let out the greatest bellow of a laugh there ever was, he did an' the king did not like it very much so he said "Guards! Get tis dwarf out my hall!" an' then he finally saw he had no more guards. That there dragon got em' all. The dwarf responded, "Seems yer got no more guards, knights, or even people no more. That there dragon got em' or they fled this charred lan'. Ye see, the mistake ye made is ye went far an' wide fer them knights when all ye needed was a strong dwarf, my friend. Let me slay this dragon fer ye, an' I will restore yer kingdom again." then that king looked quite funny he did! He never thought to ask a dwarf, nope. So he said back "Master dwarf, if you do this what is it ye ask in return? I have no gold, no kingdom." but ye know what that dwarf said? He said right back "Ha! I don't need yer gold for such a simple task, tis is easier than workin' my forge. Give me a day an' yer problem will be gone, on my honor as a dwarf." then the dwarf left. That dwarf traveled as fast an' far as he could, every step he took carried him not less than 10 miles, an' he got all the way to that Skyflame Mountain just that noon, he did.

  5. That dwarf had nothin' with him but the very dwarf-steel armor he made himself an' his fists like iron. That dwarf stood there at the bottom of the mountain an' he let out a great bellow that could be 'eard all the way cross the sea to Endal, "Dragon! I come 'ere to challenge ye. Come out yer mountain there an' face me, or hide like a coward an' be known as one!". That great beast was no coward I tell ye, for he rose from the earth-blood like a soaring pheonix without no hesitation. The beast landed before that dwarf, quite annoyed his dinner were stopped, "Dwarf! You dare challenge me?" an' that dragon laughed an' laughed so long that dwarf nearly fell asleep. That there dwarf said back "That I do, ye winged beast! Ah'll not fall easy like them there knights!" then that dragon's belly glowed bright as hot steel an' he spewed flame hotter than any dwarf's forge but that there dragon didn't know how important a dwarf's beard is, no he didn't. That there dwarf saw his singed beard nearly burned in half an' he was furious. He jumped onto that there dragon an' wrestled him with great might. The dragon flew high to the sky, dwarf in tow. The dwarf an' dragon wrestled fer hours, they did - long into the af'er noon 'til that dwarf wrestled the dragon to the ground nearly tearin' his wings from his body. They fell from the sky with such might it cracked the earth open, that there makin' the great Deepcrest Chasm we can see to this day as proof. The dragon helpless in that dwarf's grip he begged fer his life, an' the honorable dwarf felt he had a fair fight so he dragged that dragon to the mountain where he tossed em' into a cave an' closed it right up with a boulder larger than tis very tavern. That dwarf strode back to the hall where he told the king an' before the king could thank em' that dwarf walked right out real proud. The kingdom were restored an' bards told stories of the great dwarf, callin' em' Dragonsbane fer many decades til time fergot em'.
