  1. 1) In the north-east area of Thedas.
  2.
  3. 2) Is a peninsula that borders Antiva as a landmass, Rialto Bay along the South, and the Venefication Sea along the North.
  4.
  5. 3) Its capital city is Dairsmuid, which is in south Rivain.
  6.
  7. 4) Other cities and settlements include KONT-AAR (the only peaceful Qunari settlement in continental Thedas, located on the northern coast), LLOMERYN (a politically neutral port city on an island off the southern tip of Rivain, where the Llomerryn Accords were signed, notorious for pirates and smuggling, it's also the headquarters of the Felicisima Armada), SEERE (a port city very far north, and AFSANNA (a city off the coast of Rialto Bay, near the Antivan border).
  8.
  9. 5) The Rivaini have a peaceful relationship with the elves.
  10.
  11. 6) Qunari emissaries are a common sight in Rivain settlements, however they stay away from the nobility.
  12.
  13. 7) The Rivaini are not Andrastians and don't believe in the Maker. Rather, they are pantheists who believe in the Natural Order. As such, many hold to the belief that their god and the universe are the same. Many, especially in Kont-aar, have also converted to the Qun, as their religion and the Qun are not very contradictory.
  14.
  15. 8) The Circle of Magi in Dairsmuid is hardly a Circle at all; mages of the Circle were allowed to see their families, female mages are trained to be seers, who converse with spirits and even allow themselves to be possessed, and these seers educate apprentices in their craft and are allowed their freedom provided they assist Templars when needed.
  16.
  17. 9) The Rivaini are traditionally matriarchal and many believe that women are best suited to ruling. Most Rivaini communities are governed by elder women, the most senior of these women being the above-mentioned seers.
  18.
  19. 10) The Rivaini Circles are similar to those elsewhere in Thedas and are supported financially by Andrastian nobles.
  20.
  21. 11) Rivain places no real value on the accumulation of individual wealth and instead promote the idea of community welfare, working together to support each other, sending supplies to other communities when needed.
  22.
  23. 12) Rivain produces tea, one in particular that is a blend of cinnamon, ginger and cloves, which appear to have healing properties.
