Ratatouille 6/10
The time is 2007, the simpler time period when movies about talking animals were still cool. I mean one of the most profited movies the year before was the Happy Feet so naturally everyone wanted that piece of talkinganimal cash grab. 2007 was an interesting year for animated films and to namethe few, we had the infamous Bee Movie, Shreck the Third and Alvin and the Chipmunksinthis year alone.

Everything about this movie was charming, the music and thebackground were absolutely gorgeous as I remembered from a long time ago. But I didforget how the human protagonist is the carbon copy of Michael Cera in everyway possible. From the character design to the speech pattern and even the bodylanguage. Whenever he was on the screen I felt my body shivering fromexperiencing the uncanny valley just from this character. Even the romance inthis film felt forced just like 80% of the movie Michael Cera is featured in. Ifound the lack of personality of the protagonist is quite understandable as heis served as a plot device, a puppet rather than yknow a protagonist. Not asingle audience in the movie theatre in 2007 was there to see this man, theywanted to see the talking rat.
