- Note: This was just my assessment sometime early 2012. Feel free to try the hards to see if you can get them to work. Some of the impossible might be possible with tas stuff.
- Coinless every time: 2-6, 3-8, 4-3, 6-6
- Coinless easy: 1-1, 1-2 (impossible without skip), 1-5, 2-1, 2-7, 3-2 (if piranha killed. if not too hard), 4-7, 5-5, 5-6
- Coinless mod: 1-7, 2-5, 3-2, 3-7, 5-1
- Coinless hard & prob not worth it:
- 1-3: arch of coins in early cave area
- 1-4: makes pot break much harder
- 2-2: arches near beginning, and over baseball boy after baby mario skip
- 2-8: layout of coins in bandit area
- 3-1: monkey chains in final screen. Easy with skip.
- 3-4: easy to avoid but gives you less height on long flutter over water
- 3-5: need to fall and take lower route on final screen
- 4-4: arkanoid
- 5-4: can take out spikes at end of autoscroller. Easy with skip.
- 6-4: need to hover lower on mini lava skip
- 6-7: final 3 coins on screen 1, precise ground pound on screen 2
- Coinless ridiculous & def not worth it:
- 1-6: coins after bounce
- 3-6: red coin on mushroom you jump off of in upper left of cave. Avoidable but slow.
- 4-5: coin after clay ground pound
- 4-6: can't get enough height to clear red coin very early on. Avoidable but slow.
- 5-6: first 3 coins after autoscroller
- 5-8: spinning planks near end
- 6-1: throughout
- 6-3: throughout
- 6-5: final coin
- Coinless impossible:
- 1-8: set of 3 near end
- 2-3: coins in cave
- 2-4: coins near boos in beginning
- 3-3: back & forth stairs
- 4-1: end of baby mario section
- 4-2: stairs
- 4-8: hover over spikes
- 5-2: end of first screen
- 5-3: skiing
- 6-2: end of baby mario
