**Summary:** Love one another, teach your children to follow the Gospel, take time to serve, share the Gospel

 

**Principle:** "all of us are seeking to be converted, which means being filled with the Savior's love"

**TBM:** Don’t be scared of sharing the Gospel, everyone wants to hear it deep down

**ExMo:** Everyone wants the Gospel. Yes, even you.

 

**Principle:** Sharing the Gospel is how we serve and love each other

**TBM:** Show your love through service and sharing the Gospel

**ExMo:** TBM are generally trying to love us the best way they know how. They’ve never been taught another way.

 

**Principle:** It's the parent's responsibility to teach their children, schools don't teach what they need to know, FHE - "family time to share simple gospel principles and experience", FHE is "time to share and care"

**TBM:** Parents: Teach your children to be obedient and faithful

**ExMo:** Teach your children to ignore what they might hear in school about beliefs because the Church is more important than anything

 

**Principle:** We will suffer less when we share the Gospel

**TBM:** We will be blessed for sharing the Gospel

**ExMo:** When we suffer, it’s our fault for not sharing the Gospel

 

**Principle:** Parents weep when a child leave the gospel, "We cannot pray away another's agency", We can pray for guidance about when to speak, what to say, Our family members already chose the gospel in the premortal existence, The choice to follow the Lord has to be their own

**TBM:** Don’t feel guilty for your child’s choice, just seek for the right time to teach them.

**ExMo:** It’s the non-believer’s fault for hurting their parents. Parent’s are always seeking to bring us back, but they shouldn’t force us.

**Summary:** Pray always and your prayers will be answered. Pray can save you from grief and pain. Pray, pray, pray!

 

**Principle:** “. . . answers we receive may not be what we desire, but in time become lifeline of mercy!”

**TBM:** Have faith in the answers you receive. Heavenly Father knows best.

**ExMo:** Suck it up and wait for your life to get better.

 

**Principle:** "... why he had to suffer so much when he had always tried to be good. He said a kindly answer came: “God needs brave sons.””

**TBM:** Our trials are to strengthen us.

**ExMo:** We should see everything as a blessing, even when it literally makes no sense.

 

**Principle:** “Those answers were most clear when what I wanted was silenced by an overpowering need to know what God wanted.”

**TBM:** Trust Heavenly Father to know best.

**ExMo:** Forget what you want. If you’re not getting the answers, it’s your fault.

**Summary:** Joseph Smith was a prophet and we are blessed because of his sacrifices

 

**Principle:** The battle against Joseph is not new

**TBM:** Don’t feel discouraged when people criticize the prophet. It’s happened before and the church still stands.

**ExMo:** That’s because people saw through him from the start. Even Emma.

 

**Principle:** "we need not be timid about testifying of Joseph's mission."

**TBM:** Joseph Smith was a prophet, and it’s our responsibility to share that.

**ExMo:** Ignore Joseph’s sins, tell your friends to ignore Joseph sins, just teach everyone that Joseph was perfect.

 

**Principle:** "Joseph Smith did not lets is questions paralyze his faith”

**TBM:** Doubt your doubts.

**ExMo:** Things don’t make sense? Ignore it. Shelf it. Accept it blindly.

 

**Principle:** “. . . most stunning passage in the Book of Mormon . . . prophecy about a choice seer named Joseph . . .”

**TBM:** The restoration was prophesied and now we’re living in a fulfillment of that prophecy.

**ExMo:** Joseph wrote a prophecy about himself to gain more respect.

 

**Principle:** To anyone who might be struggling with their testimony because of lies or truths that don't matter. Consider the fruits. What has come because of Joseph Smith as a prophet?

**TBM:** Joseph Smith was a man and made mistakes. The Gospel is perfect, and that’s what's most important.

**ExMo:** This is the worst. That’s all.

 

**Principle:** "Because of the truths restored through Joseph Smith, we know much more about our Heavenly Father and the Savior Jesus Christ.", “Because Joseph was a prophet, we have the blessings and ordinances of the temple that bind us to God.”

**TBM:** Joseph restorying the Gospel has brought us so many amazing blessings.

**ExMo:** Another attempt to justify every messed up thing Joseph did. Focus on the good, ignore the bad.

**Summary:** He had a near death experience in Machu Picchu because he didn’t listen to promptings of the spirit. Pray for guidance in every situation in your life.

 

**Principle:** "I had not obeyed that voice. He had paid attention to my voice, but I had not listened to His."

**TBM:** Heavenly Father is always ready to bless us, even when we forget about him.

**ExMo:** Any good thing that happens is because Heavenly Father. We’re blessed, not lucky...

 

**Principle:** “Where perhaps it seems that man has saved me, God is the One who has done it.”

**TBM:** God works through his servants.

**ExMo:** This is like every time someone says they’re blessed in medical situations. People tend to thank Heavenly Father and not the doctors. Religion> science, kindness, coincidence, etc...

 

**Principle:** "When you pray, do you really truly want "not my will, but thine be done"? ", When you pray, are you really PRAYING or just saying prayers?

**TBM:** Heavenly Father blesses us with what we really need, not with what we want

**ExMo:** Your prayers are answered? That’s your fault. Sorry.

 

**Principle:** "He taught me many lessons that day…I should always pray with a sincere heart, with real intent, exercising faith in Christ.”, "Do you prepare yourself to make important decisions through prayer?"

**TBM:** Trust God in everything.

**ExMo:** Blindly trust in God in all your life decisions. Everything good comes from God, everything bad is because you didn’t have enough faith.

**Summary:** Am I good enough? Repent and follow Heavenly Father, he wants us to succeed.

 

**Principle:** "We often hear our members ask, 'Am I really a good person?'",  "If we must compare, compare ourselves to how we were in the past or will be in the future. ", "We must stop comparing ourselves to others and torturing ourselves needlessly "

**TBM:** Don’t worry about the people around you. Focus on being better today than you were yesterday.

**ExMo:** The church puts so much pressure on everyone to be perfect, no wonder people struggle with self worth… But for the most part, this is actually a great principle.

 

**Principle:** "Yes you are going to be good enough and Yes you are going to make it! As long as you keep repenting and trying!", “If we sincerely repent, God really will forgive us. Even if we commit the same sin again and again.”

**TBM:** We need to do our part if we want true forgiveness.

**ExMo:** Everything is conditional. It’s kinda true but some people definitely take it too far.

 

**Principle:** “. . . rebelling against God we reject our only Hope and Help . . .”, We are in rebellion any time we say in our hearts, “I don’t need God, and I don’t have to repent.”

**TBM:** We need to be humble and trust God.

**ExMo:** Basically trying to scare anyone away from even considering that the Gospel might not be true.

 

**Principle:** “Our Heavenly Father intends for us to make it. That is His work and His glory.”

**TBM:** Heavenly Father is rooting for us all.

**ExMo:** I don’t mind this one. If you’re going to believe, at least there’s hope.

#Niel L. Anderson (Quorum of the 12)

**Summary:** Missionary work. Do it.

 

**Principle:** "Each of us is a piece of the puzzle in God's latter-day work, and each of us helps put in place other pieces."

**TBM:** Work together, we’re all a part of something greater than ourselves.

**ExMo:**

 

**Principle:** "You are needed in this great cause.", “. . . to the youth . . . a special invitations to be witnesses of God . . .”, “The divinely-appointed responsibility that once rested primarily upon the shoulders of full-time missionaries…rests upon us all.”

**TBM:** It’s our responsibility to do what we can to share the Gospel.

**ExMo:** No wonder every mormon we interact with is constantly pushing the Gospel. They’re commanded to do it.

 

**Bonus fun fact:** "thousands are baptized each week"

**TBM:** Yay!

**ExMo:** But how many stick around?

 

**Principle:** "guilt is like a battery in a fuel powered car... the battery is not sufficient and neither is guilt.", "I suggest you stop feeling guilty about any insufficiently you have about sharing the gospel.", "Please don't see your efforts to share the Gospel as a pass/fail test. ... Your grade is always an A+."

**TBM:** Do your part, and don’t feel guilty if it doesn’t go the way you want it to.

**ExMo:** I like that they’re told to not feel guilty. But it kinda explains why mormons tend to blame everyone else for any of their shortcomings.
