Grammar: Handout p. 7 - “some” and “any”, “want” and “wants”
- “some” and “any” go with noncount nouns (water, soda, rice) and plural nouns (vegetables, chips, fries)

+	affirmative statements: some
I want some water.
She wants some fries.
We have some soda in the refrigerator.

-	negative statements: any
They don’t want any soda.
He doesn’t want any vegetables.

?	questions: usually “any”, but can be “some” if I’m offering something and I expect “yes”
Do you need any money?
Does she have any eggs?
Do they want any coffee?
Would you like some coffee or tea? (I think you will say “yes”.)
