Hunting. It seemed to be his second nature for whatever reason!

"Thanks," he declared with a pause. "and uh... Hm."

He pulled out the mask itself.

"We got this mask, which shows you some real scary stuff when you put it on, and we also got a doll that I gave to Cassius as a.."

"..gift!.."

He quickly puts the shades on to hide all emotion. They were extremely gaudy and were perfect for it.

[00:21] Hunting was a rough time, but it was a necessary thing. Still floating among the air, arm in a sling, she glances around and begins to sort out what was necessary for a good yield from the dead boars.

"Why would you want to see scary stuff?" She asks, giving a concerned look. Though, she doesn't seem to mind the gift to her cousin as much as that. She has no clue about the inner-workings of the relationships these boys harbored.

"I think after the other day, that's the last thing we'd want. That girl was way weird!"

[00:28] "..Well, I'm going to cleanse it," he declared to himself very simply. He was sure of it.

For some holy magi, it was simply ridding occultism completely. For him, he saw a way to repurpose objects-- and people, if possible...

"It'll probably be something better when I fix it up." He nodded, shutting his eyes for a moment. "I don't know if anything's with the doll, though.. I just thought he'd like it!.."

He was intent on keeping the mask, apparently. He ties it to his side.

[00:33] Moorn wanders over, led by the two Kaor that found a group of children- no, young teenagers.

The demon beast held red eyes on their prey. Predatory. Unflinching.

The inquiry comes and goes as she glances toward Renly. What would the mask even show? She gives a thoughtful look as she tilts her head side to side. "Well, if you think that'll work, I'm sure that'll be fun. Maybe I can help with that!"

Her fingers twitch a tad bit as she glances at her cast. Was the breaking of bones really worth it at the end of the day? She hoped so!

"Dolls are for girls, though. But, if he likes it, that's..." Cool, she guessed. Other than that, though, there's a bit of a jolt to her form as she notices that a whole big bad gang has shown up here.

"Uhhh, Renly...?"

Sneaking behind the halfling, she gives a small, shaky breath outwards. This wasn't good.

[00:37] "Well, it's the only special thing I've ever had, so I thought it would mean a lot if I gave it to him," he declared..

Something was amiss, though; as the boars began to flee, to lessen in stock as a different group amassed to their right.

Renly grit his teeth.

"..Hm, they usually don't come out here." He declared. With hands on his bow..

… He moved to return it to his backside.

"..Hello! Demons … How do you fare?" He pondered.

[00:39] It was meant to be a hunt, and yet the bat hadn't found any sufficient prey for itself - the two before it appeared to be, well...

unamusingly weak.

"You two can enjoy playing with these humans if you'd like." It stated, covering it's mouth wing a wing as it yawned. Wait, did demons even yawn?

Well, they did now.

"Just, do not be too messy. Some humans are capable of amazing growth and we wouldn't want to cull them before they become worthy of a challenge."

[00:41] Once more they'd wander.

A trio of demons that were headed by both Jaeger and Ulciel. The panther often didn't get to hunt with his brother in this manner. Ulciel was a quiet one who didn't show much emotion, if at all. It was hard to get him going even with Jaeger's outlandish personality. Though in recent events Jaeger had started understand what benefits he gained from being quiet. Though he'd never stray away from his true nature, not far enough for it to matter anyway.

He came here looking for Osronans, people from the kingdom that he could harm in that little girl's name. His eyes glowed with utter rage, two pockets of infinite destruction and wrath.

"Are either of you from Osrona?" His eyes shifted to the only Lesser of the group.

"If they aren't then you can have your pick at whichever. I don't think they'll be much of an issue."

[00:44] Weak. They appeared to be. A mere child and a more confident teenager.

The two Kaor give the Lesser instructions and they move in turn, eyes set on something else however.

Moorn moves over on three legs, a limp in their stride as they start to circle the 'prey'. And yet, there is no move to strike them yet.

And then a pawed claw rises and seeks to swing for the stack of leather they acclimated. It seemed the demon had other plans than to attack them, content with merely taking what they owned. Dominating them.

"And where are the Osronan children?"

[00:48] Something rolls in her stomach, a bit of a sickness coming over her as she grits her teeth a small bit. A step backwards comes as she draws in a breath. She had gone out with an older person, like advised! But...

"There's no Osronans here." She states, biting down against the inside of her cheek. "I'm from Alabastre."

Her fingers hold onto Renly's sleeve as she huffs it out. There's no need to boast on her status, nor anything like that. She was, however, going to stay out of reach of anything trying to snatch at her.

It'd be unpleasant for all parties involved.

"No. Nobody here would be from Osrona. We're not part of those stupid idiotic air-heads trying to chase the Blonde Star Angel King for years on end, throwing children at them to achieve nothing but injuries for ourselves--.."

He coughs.

"Anyway, if you're here to farm the Leather, you've unfortunately scared most of them off...."

Jaeger turned south before leaving Moorn with a few words.

"It's up to you. I don't feel like attacking these two weaklings. If you want to do it you can but I won't be engaging..."

The panther slumped into a resting position as he watched events unfold. He kept an ear and an eye out for anyone who happened to stroll by, maybe he'd find an Osronan that way.

[00:54] There is some interest taken as the girl floats back behind Renly. The swipe of their paw hits air, occultic presence coming off of the claws of the beast.

"I am not here to gather, but I will have the leather since you offered," they say, sending pawed arm once again for the sack of leather, this time what Renly had gathered. And if it progressed into a battle, so be it.

The demon does not play nice.

"Where do we find these from Osrona?"

[00:56] A hand moves to impede his attempt to take his leather.. It was hard-earned and most definitely being used to get himself out of an indenture that would only result in him moving to fight more, and more demons if he didn't fulfill it.

"No. You can harvest it when we're done in an hour if you want it that badly," he declared. "You can find the Osronans on the path to their city, or on their bridge."

… Damn. Selling them out so easily. The halfling Teraphim did not seem to care for the fate of Osrona at this point..

[00:59] This was complicated, to say the least. Between her arm being busted up and the like, she wasn't too entirely sure where to proceed from here.

"No one's offering you any leather," she mumbles, still making her attempts to stay out of reach. "So please stop." That's what...? Putting words in people's mouth? Yeah, something like that.

"We should just go, Renly. If something dumb happens, no one's gonna be happy."

[00:59] Ulciél says, "Give us your leather."
[01:00] Jaeger asks, "How much money could we get from the slaves in exchange for their leather?"
[01:02] A hand stops the demon's paw, "I was not asking," the beast says. And with that, their maw opens and occultic mana burns off of the inside of their mouth.

When it readies it fires, a spread of occultic magic leaving the jaw of the beast.

The news about Osrona while helpful, is woefully ignored. The leather was now a challenge and this Lesser sought to win. While flesh was tempting, taking what they sought to protect so badly - it was a different kind of victory for this demon.

Something more human-like.

.. Grins. He knew he would have no issue against the Lesser, for certain, and it caused him to draw the Skyfall Wire from his back.

[01:12] Unfortunately, Renly was..

.. most definitely a wielder of the light. He strikes down the demon with swiftness-- perhaps, though, rather messy as he'd most definitely gotten a bruise or two in the result of their fight regardless.

The Darkness was not something to be underestimated.. Even so, his gaze turns toward the other two as he reached for Parsley's sleeve and finally began to leave.

"You can have the boars themselves. They'll be back any moment, but we'll be going now.."

[01:13] Jaeger asks, "Do we take the leather or let them go?"
[01:13] Ulciél says, "It'll be useful. We might as well take it."
[01:13] Jaeger says, "Very well."
[01:13] Renly says, "You can just have it."
[01:13] Renly whispers: Only give them .. a fraction.
[01:14] Renly reached into his pocket and pulled ten units of leather .. and threw them the other way. Calmly, he began to make his way off with Parsley in tow.

[01:14] Ulciél says, "He definitely does."
[01:14] Jaeger says, "Even during our conversation you killed dozens of these boars."
[01:14] Renly says, "They do not produce much, it's mostly pork."
[01:14] Jaeger says, "We'll wait."
[01:14] Ulciél says, "Then you wouldn't mind if I were to search you."
[01:15] Renly says, "I actually do mind."
[01:15] Ulciél asks, "Is it because you're lying about that being all of the leather you have on hand?"
[01:16] The panther moved forward, encircling the two with menacing eyes.

"So give us the rest of the leather. The pork too."

[01:16] Moorn is felled and the three-legged demon falls to the ground, sluggish as the light batters away at him. In the end, a consolation prize is offered but the demon, prideful as they are, does not take it.

The leather offered were for the Kaor and not the Lesser.

Instead, they remain put. Letting occult mana fester on their holy burns.

[01:20] Renly held onto Parsley's sleeve, tightly. If anything happened, he would certainly be held responsible. So, he shuts his eyes.

"I'm not going to let you search me, but I need this money, you see .."

He pauses. "I have to give this leather to a girl or she's going to send me back at you people. I don't even want to fight-- and.."

"I'm just going to run if you're not going to let me go. If you harm us, I will bring dozens upon dozens of magi outside of your demon forest, including the King and Queen of Alabastre, the High Lord and Lady of Myllenoris, and Lorespeaker.

You would be wise to back off. I don't care for this any longer."

[01:21] Parsley asks, "Y'can't just drag Mom and Dad into this, what if they don't wanna?"
[01:24] Interesting.

Of course that leather wasn't all of it - that much was obvious to the bat, though with Renly's threats of dragging 'high ranking' people into this, Ulciél couldn't help but feel amused.

"You mean to tell me that if I do take what you have, not only will I find myself with much more leather, but also people worthy of testing myself against will come directly to my woods?"

That was a deal if it had ever heard one.

"I'd say that settles it. I'll be taking your leather," the bat stated, seeming quite stark about that course of action.

[01:26] Renly drew the Skyfall Wire, and fired an arrow of light forward for his first strike..

He quickly moves to put on a peculiar, black, wolf-shaped mask. He needed the adrenaline of his nightmares to fuel him.

[01:34] Light clashed against the Dark, and with every hit, it was like the Leather fell off of him like a piñata. Perhaps the mask was making things worse for him..

Well, it was nothing that he could fix, unfortunately for him.. Renly is forced to flee, finally, as he makes his way off.

.. Though, perhaps it was simply his intent. Who was to say that he wouldn't have to fight the panther if he wasn't given the perfect opening to leap away through the trees?

[01:35] The battle ensued; Ulciél's only intention being to collect the leather which had been gathered by Renly. The two were at a standstill in regards to time magic, though when it came to holy versus the occult; the Teraphim stood little to no chance.

Occult magic was after all, the antithesis to holy; Ulciél fought with destructive emotions which overpowered Renley's own.

"Your combat style is interesting, and should you be left to grow, I'm sure you'll make for a tough opponent some day." A bit of praise offered, as the bat would rain down bolts of lighting, not directly onto it's opponent, but they were more so used to cut off his movement.

With Renley where the demon wanted him, a final collision of sphere would be made against the boy's form, as his leather was forcibly stripped away.

[01:39] Shifting upwards, she wobbles back and forth with tears pricking at her eyes. "...Where all the boar are." She says, shaking her head. "But there's like, three demons there!" She shakes her head as she clutches her cast-bound arm closer to her chest.

Though, on the horizon, the halfling shows up--…

"Renly!"

Oh gosh, was he okay?

[01:43] Almost immediately, he returns with a strange, horrific black wolf-shaped mask over his visage..

It seemed that he'd lost; and fast, intent on leaving as fast as possible to ensure that Parsley made her own way back to Myllenoris fast..

Twigs and leaves litter his hair. He pulls them out..

"..I'm fine. I'm fine, I'm fine." He declared, peeling the mask off of his own face.

"..Are you fine? Did you get out?" He stared.
