- Date: Jan 9 (currently)
- Purpose: Show Madison as somewhat bitchy and steadfast, but still has her smaller moments. However, this doesn't mean she's insecure, and if it can be construed as such, it shouldn't be in a typical way. (See below, eventually.)
- Context: Earlier in January, Diana was invited by Madison to participate in the sorority she attends. Since part of being a sorority (besides wild parties, which comes as a reward for helping out with the bake sale) involves fundraising, Madison asks Diana to help her out with a bake sale they're doing to raise funds for poor orphaned doctors without hoarders or whatever. Diana has the option to accept earlier in the week, so they're now in Robin's kitchen because Diana is still staying there during winter break.
- Diana and Madison meet up in Robin's kitchen to start baking cookies. While Diana already has the icing prepped (if need be depending on flow, could be prepped/dyed later, probs with her pride as a makeup artist being able to blend colors, etc.) Madison goes into her natural state of things when it comes to tackling a project, and immediately starts barreling through the recipe as she bosses Diana around. It's a little frustrating because she doesn't have it written down and is instead dictating to Diana what should occur, but also baking terminology is hard. Due to Madison's super hardcore type-A personality, it should be somewhat easy to make everything a little silly with Diana as the straight man, while Madison goes to town. Probably mention how this will be the BEST cookies and how this'll impress all the other members and yadda yadda. (Diana might have the chance to borrow Ev's joke from the Vday comic about turning the oven way up while Madison stares her down.)
- Since they're cookies, they're not particularly hard to make. A variety could be made, but at least some should be sugar.
- ****ALSO PLEASE MENTION VAMPIRISM AT SOME POINT. Maybe Madison can make ref to strawberry jam being Blud(tm), and how she made these with Bernard before she even knew about vampires and how she said some goofy things like teeth growing in and stuff.*****
- It is eventually revealed that it's "Uncle Alex's" cookies, AKA Doc Bernard's. When Diana points out that she expected Madison to be more "by the book" since she's being so particular about ratios (like the Vday comic) but Madison is going off memory. More correctly, she's trying to make her own twist on the recipe since there's no point in following him step for step ("besides ratios" "those are PIVOTAL diana")
- Diana in turn tells about how she used to know Robin when she was younger and how sometimes she'd bake, and how her dad tried to help her when she was younger. Since Leo favors (super japanese things) pickled goods, miso, the whole nine yards, they didn't often make cookies but when they did try it was a little misguided, if fun.
- Madison, (surprisingly?) is okay with the cookies tasting a little different. This all may be a chance to slip in the girls talking about how they view "adult" figures - how an adult would "know everything" in a sense, and how it's up to them to make their own way without copying one for one. Also that it's nice to pretend that someone still has all the answers and that the kids (them) don't need to. While the doctor may have told her the recipe ages ago, she'd shamelessly/proudly say she purposefully forgot it to accomplish today's cooking. Diana is somewhat speechless at that part.
- While the cookies are in the oven, Madison begins playing her mobile game and Diana looks over her shoulder. For the sake of the demo, since it's a choice based thing from Thanksgiving and such, we'll assume that Diana has in fact continued to play the game, if sparingly. This can be when the cookie revelation can also have, but some slipping in of gacha would be good for those into that. They run out of time surprisingly quick though, and Madison passes off the game while she finds the ovens, and Diana can either save the run... or not.
- CG: Diana and Madison begin icing the cookies, after Diana makes a comment about how they should wait until the cookies are cooler to cool them. It's... less than stellar, but very cute! Icing is butchered in ways previously thought impossible. We can probably see some of the cookies in all their questionable glory. They have fun though, someone probably gets icing on their cheek (Madi) and Di can do smth about it. Or have the option too, idc.
- One exhausting icing session done later, they're finally done and they can all be boxed up. Madison tells Diana she did an acceptable in following directions (this time), while Diana scoffs because she knows that that actually means great job in Madanese, and either (definitely or has the option to) tease her about it. Madison then interrupts the tender moment to explain how Bernard also had recipes for chocolate chips, pinwheels, strawberry ones, etc and how the day is still young. Scene end.
- Slipping in one option somewhere is preferred, maybe what type of cookie is made? Like a frownie madi ("we can't sell this" "but it's so cute just look at u") or maybe something more serious, it's a mistree. like the whole "i get what ur saying thing re: adults knowing certain things and keeping up that illusion a lil longer thing")
- If things are paced too awkwardly due to the nature of baking, the sugar cookies can be already baked by the time Diana arrives and they make chocolate chip or pinwheels or strawberry or whatever cookies instead, and while those are in the oven, they can begin icing the cookies. This can make the CG happen that much sooner, but that potentially comes at the cost of losing the mobage angle, which is really nice to a lot of players. So in this case I suggest after they ice things up THEN madi starts the mobage or smth, and then by the end of the scene the oven's going off and panic ensues, end scene. However this may also be awkward. Good luck.
