- Hey, I know this is one of those "oh here we go again" things for everyone.
- I'm really thankful for everything, even the little things people have done that have effected my life. Whether it be that simple 10 minute stream i randomly watched on twitch when I was in the dumps, or that youtube lets play i watched when i was feeling poop. Sometimes, all it takes is one little click to open up a whole new world for someone.
- That someone was me.
- I was 11, a little kid on youtube, randomly looking at videos of games I liked. Until i stumbled onto a video by Chuggaa, it was a video of him Let's Playing pokemon crystal. I instantly clicked on it and started watching, laughing my butt off a ton, and feeling really warm and happy inside. Emile, you opened up a new world for me, the world of let's plays. I quickly binged a ton of your let's plays, sometimes even leaving them on at night on my desktop while i was in bed watching them to fall asleep. I rewatched them over and over because they never got old, and at 3am my parents would hear me laughing at you screwing up in mario galaxy or making funny voices in paper mario. I know this sounds sappy, but you opened a gateway of happiness for me.
- I then found out that you had a channel where you played with other gamers, others like you. NintendoCapriSun, JoshJepson, ProtonJon.
- These names stick in my head to this day. Whenever they're mentioned I instantly smile, knowing that my younger years were filled with laughter. I slowly drifted to other youtubers, and I found SlimKirby, ka6scope, Attackingtoucans, and Thefearowoftime. These were new adventures for me to watch, and follow my own path. My elementary years were tough, I was seriously bullied and I had thoughts of suicide all throughout the years. I was different, but you, all of you, made me feel like I was normal. I wasn't some kid who was an introvert, and who wanted to be alone all the time. I was someone who was interested in video games, to where I wanted to lean the in's and out's of them.
- I got caught up in middle school that I forgot my internet life for a while, youtube and all of it. I found out about Justin.tv, that streaming site. I started watching it a ton and felt more accepted, knowing there were a few people on there I can't name as I don't remember them, that I felt okay, and normal just watching and chatting. It was new for me, being able to talk directly to the caster as they played. It was fun.
- And then Twitch happened. and Thefearowoftime, and dazran303 were the first of the people I knew that took the opportunity to start on it quickly. I followed them through the years, keeping as a lurker and not chatting much. Soon it was 2014, I was starting to come out of my shell to my parents, classmates, and the internet. I found thefearowoftime again, or as he is now known, Geoff. He was a different person than he was on youtube. He was loving, caring, and wanted everyone in his chat/community to feel welcomed, accepted, and loved. I stayed for a while, and then I found out he had a friend. Misskaddykins, also known as Rachel. I also found P4ntz, Almolicious, and many other streamers who I really enjoyed being apart of their communities and more.
- All of you, even the random youtubers/streamers i watched once, all played a part in my current life. You made Guggy, Guggy.
- I want to seriously thank all of you for just being out there and having your media availible for everyone.
- I had a rough time, and I'm still in a rough time. I can't thank all of you enough for being there for me when I needed a shoulder to rest on. Geoff, Rachel, P4ntz, Javo, Chuggaa, Jepson, and many others that would take too much time to list, made a HUGE impact on my life. I can't thank you enough.
- Let's end this on a happy note.
- Thank you, for now, the past, and the future.
- Guggy
