  1. [14:40] Salthiel lingers.
  2. (Salthiel Anauel)
  3. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  4.
  5. [14:43] Bai Long says, "..."
  6. [14:43] Salthiel Anauel says, "We had to leave."
  7. [14:43] Salthiel Anauel says, "It was getting too crowded."
  8. [14:43] Bai Long asks, "You guys went to patrol without me?"
  9. [14:44] Salthiel Anauel says, "We were waiting for you."
  10. [14:44] Bai Long exclaims, "I had been awake for multiple days, of course I'd sleep a bit longer then usual!"
  11. [14:44] Bai Long says, "Bah, well I'm awake now, noticed you two gone alongside the cloaks."
  12. [14:44] Bai Long says, "So I came this way."
  13. [14:45] Salthiel Anauel says, "And I'm glad that you did not head for the caves."
  14. [14:45] Salthiel Anauel asks, "Do you remember Epsilon?"
  15. [14:45] Bai Long says, "Not at all."
  16. [14:45] Salthiel Anauel says, "A blind traveler. He warned that a group of vampires were preparing to leave."
  17. [14:46] Salthiel Anauel says, "Follow me."
  18. [14:46] Bai Long says, "Good person."
  19. [14:46] Salthiel Anauel says, "Perhaps. But, someone I cannot trust."
  20. [14:47] Salthiel Anauel says, "Anyway, it's safe to say that it will be much more riskier to patrol even with the three of us."
  21. [14:47] "I know what's under the mask, you do realize that, yes?" He said, quirking up an eyebrow. It was true-- The same soothing breeze that always ran behind him was following itself up on Zeriel, manipulating the cloak and seemingly prying away under the mask.
  22.
  23. At least, it was his way of exploring the world around him. "You should be more careful about these. I understand why you would try to do this, but it's something that is forever doomed to go wrong."
  24.
  25. "I was once like that, y'know. When they had lower numbers. And even then, it was extremely risky. There's one thing that I must say, and I believe that's the point of you leaving..."
  26.
  27. A small pause, before he waved in Salthiel's direction just briefly, the soothing chime running over the Anauel's ears for a brief instant. Of course, that mere chime was enough for him to at least notice they were dressed akin -- Even if colors went over his head.
  28.
  29. "It's better to choose the long fight than trying to end things at once."
  30. (Eagleheart)
  31. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  32.
  33. [14:49] Salthiel only tilted his head in response to Eagleheart, though features remained undiscernible under the veil of his mask.
  34. (Salthiel Anauel)
  35. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  36.
  37. [14:52] "Huagzhou raids the prisons every once a while... a couple years in-between, to say the least. I've scouted caverns before-- though they either escape, or the loss they suffer is minimal."
  38.
  39. The words are muttered outwards-- though his voice remains soft, they can be considered somewhat of a retort nonetheless. There's a pause, and a sigh before he'd let those lips part yet once again.
  40.
  41. "I've been trying for a while, but... it's simply hard to inflict any significant damage-- getting rid of a watchtower would ruin their influence over the area, destroy resources... I'd be lying if I said I'm not going to try this again-- probably sooner rather than later. Is that bad?"
  42.
  43. Ah...
  44.
  45. "Though, next time around, I'd try to gather a larger squad--- I made a mistake with numbers."
  46. (Zeriel Heifang)
  47. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  48.
  49. [14:52] Having rejoined the group he was normally apart of, their back laid against the tree, not too sure what may have happened to their friends in the time he had been absent. However after noticing their absence at the home, alongside the cloaks, he had come running this direction to hopefully not find their corpses.
  50.
  51. Thankfully Bai could smile, knowing that there was no such thing that had happened, no seemingly injured bodies, no missing people...Though there was a strange new one in Eagle.
  52.
  53. "It's also better to go with me, then to go without me." Though partly annoyed, they were mostly just disliking the fact they had not been with Zeriel and Salthiel in whatever they had been doing.
  54. (Bai Long)
  55. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  56.
  57. [15:00] He stood there, completely still. There was always that same odd sense of stillness around him, something that would probably come across as rather exquisite. After all, it was something that resumed his personality, or just the power that he wielded.
  58.
  59. Stillness.
  60.
  61. His voice echoed again, extremely calm -- Although it did follow slowly the soothing chime of Order that spread through the nearby environment, perhaps his way of keeping an watch without having to use eyes. "It's likely resulting in something bad. Gather a slightly bigger group... And then, you strike. Do you want to run by the caverns? If we're in a group of four, we have a good chance."
  62.
  63. Of course, it was something that reminded him of the very early days of the Seekers. Perhaps it was something that he needed to do every now and then, but lately, with all his apprentices or friends having something else to do with their lives, he had just missed this sensation.
  64.
  65. And how he loved having it again.
  66.
  67. "Twenty years ago we would just stand in front of the entrance to the room with Mythril. Maybe it's worth doing that again now."
  68. (Eagleheart)
  69. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  70.
  71. [15:07] "Towers are probably guarded in the moment-- but caverns."
  72.
  73. There's a pause, and he'd shift, sparing a brief glance in both Salthiel's and Bai's direction before concealed hues find Eagleheart yet once again. Little words are spared until he'd nod, arms loose underneath that cloak all the while.
  74.
  75. "We can roam about mining spots, maybe we'll get lucky... and I'm aware that it might just end up with a lot more harm rather than any impact, but... if we do make it, we'll end up doing some significant damage, at least-- it's worth it. Not moving too far into enemy territory, yet diminishing their influence regardless. Not really as safe, though it's still a gamble-- one that's worth."
  76.
  77. Another, brief pause.
  78.
  79. "If I manage to gather three strong ones-- or perhaps four, even. Would you join us, or do you advise against it strongly? Regardless, lead on for now, sir. We'll scout the caverns."
  80. (Zeriel Heifang)
  81. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  82.
  83. [15:07] Salthiel glances to Bai. "And sometimes, we just cannot delay. But risk it."
  84. (Salthiel Anauel)
  85. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  86.
  87. [15:07] Salthiel Anauel says, "Speaking of which, expect a group of vampires in and out of the caverns."
  88. [15:07] Zeriel Heifang says, "The kid likely reported two, don't think they'd expect four-- it's alright."
  89. [15:08] Eagleheart says, "Alright. First."
  90. [15:08] Eagleheart says, "Security measures."
  91. [15:08] Eagleheart says, "If they outnumber us, run."
  92. [15:08] Eagleheart says, "I'll stay back and get out as soon as I can."
  93. [15:08] Eagleheart says, "And."
  94. [15:08] Eagleheart says, "If they catch one of you, no matter how... Well."
  95. [15:09] Eagleheart says, "If you're the catched one, see if they're going to kill you or torture you. If it's the latter, kill yourself."
  96. [15:09] Zeriel Heifang says, "Mhm..."
  97. [15:09] Eagleheart says, "Otherwise, just don't turn back to them."
  98. [15:09] Salthiel Anauel says, "Of course."
  99. [15:09] Eagleheart says, "Okoto."
  100. [15:10] Bai Long whispers: I don't agree in the least with this man on that.
  101. [15:10] Bai Long whispers: But that doesn't matter right now.
  102. [15:10] The masked woman tilts her head down towards the small party. With a hop, she slides down the rocky stairs, landing in a rough crouch in front of them.
  103.
  104. As she straightens, she wavers a bit on her feet. Not from inebriation, as a change of pace, but simply from exhaustion.
  105.
  106. "...Wassup." A muffled voice, barely audible through the filters of the mask.
  107. (Okoto Iya)
  108. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  109.
  110. [15:10] Zeriel Heifang asks, "Acquaintance of yours?"
  111. [15:11] Okoto Iya says, "Yea. S'been a few years."
  112. [15:12] Okoto Iya says, "Hardly recognized you without the mask."
  113. [15:12] Angelo quirks up an eyebrow, before waving a hand in a circular manner, gesturing towards the very room they're in. "Okoto's safe. Hello." He spoke, in the same calm tone of always. But then, he instructed the others.
  114.
  115. "Gather the ores in the rooms close to this one. Even if it is little, it'll help Huangzhou -- And it will shorten their resources. That's why this is an important place to control."
  116. (Eagleheart)
  117. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  118.
  119. [15:13] Salthiel Anauel says, "I'll roam the other parts of the cave."
  120. [15:14] Eagleheart says, "I'll check the spot with the Kaor."
  121. [15:14] Okoto Iya says, "A-ah."
  122. [15:15] Salthiel Anauel says, "I'm going to check the area with orichalcums."
  123. [15:15] Salthiel Anauel says, "If we don't come back, know where to find us."
  124. [15:15] Bai Long says, "Zer, come see with us."
  125. [15:16] Zeriel Heifang says, "I'll stay here a while-- don't take too long."
  126. [15:16] Salthiel Anauel says, "You should also stay."
  127. [15:16] Salthiel Anauel says, "I'll be back."
  128. [15:16] Bai Long says, "No."
  129. [15:16] Bai Long says, "Coming with."
  130. [15:16] Eagleheart asks, "Where are you going?"
  131. [15:16] Salthiel Anauel says, "Okay then. We'll be back. If we don't. We're at the mining area for orchilacums."
  132. [15:16] Salthiel Anauel says, "The ice caverns."
  133. [15:16] Eagleheart says, "Good luck."
  134. [15:16] Bai Long says, "So to be frank here."
  135. [15:17] Bai Long says, "I don't like that guy, at all."
  136. [15:17] Salthiel Anauel says, "This is why I left."
  137. [15:17] Salthiel Anauel says, "I do not like to be commanded by a complete stranger."
  138. [15:17] Bai Long says, "Exactly."
  139. [15:18] Eagleheart says, "Anyone willing to kill vampires and demons with me is alright by my standards."
  140. [15:20] Bai Long says, "Though it is fair he said, 'run before me', which makes me think he isn't too bad of a person."
  141. [15:20] Salthiel Anauel says, "He's an order magi, so he's not bad. I just don't like how he acts."
  142. [15:20] {Item} You drop Fire Crystal x1.
  143. [15:20] {Item} You picked up Blue Mercury. Dropped by Salthiel Anauel. .
  144. [15:21] {Item} You drop Black Kimono.
  145. [15:21] {Item} You picked up Adamantite. Dropped by Salthiel Anauel. .
  146. [15:21] Bai Long asks, "Can you hold any of these?"
  147. [15:21] {Item} You drop Earth Crystal x1.
  148. [15:21] {Item} You picked up Iron x21. Dropped by Bai Long.
  149. [15:21] {Item} You picked up Copper x21. Dropped by Bai Long.
  150. [15:22] Salthiel Anauel says, "Let's go."
  151. [15:22] {Item} You drop Pumpkin Pie.
  152. [15:22] {Item} You drop Lightning Crystal x1.
  153. [15:22] {Item} You picked up Pumpkin Pie. Dropped by Salthiel Anauel. .
  154. [15:23] {Item} You drop Pumpkin Pie.
  155. [15:23] {Item} You drop Lightning Crystal x1.
  156. [15:23] {Item} You drop Lightning Crystal x1.
  157. [15:23] {Item} You drop Lightning Crystal x1.
  158. [15:23] {Item} You picked up Pumpkin Pie. Dropped by Salthiel Anauel. .
  159. [15:24] Bai Long says, "..."
  160. [15:24] Bai Long says, "We need to come back here at a different time."
  161. [15:24] Bai Long says, "For these things."
  162. [15:24] Salthiel Anauel says, "Okay."
  163. [15:26] Salthiel Anauel says, "We're back."
  164. [15:26] Zeriel Heifang says, "Mhm."
  165. [15:26] Salthiel Anauel says, "Area's clear."
  166. [15:26] Eagleheart says, "If anything, now that there is Huangzhou, you can just capture them and get them to the prison."
  167. [15:26] Zeriel Heifang says, "Suppose so... that's one way. Hopefully they can convert."
  168. [15:26] Zeriel Heifang says, "---and welcome back."
  169. [15:26] Eagleheart says, "Do not allow anyone to pass by. No matter who it is, unless you know they're trustworthy."
  170. [15:27] Eagleheart says, "If you do, just change locations. It's better to give up the day than facing overwhelming odds."
  171. [15:27] Zeriel Heifang says, "Mhm."
  172. [15:27] Bai Long whispers: I'm fairly certain we just came back when he was telling Zeriel to beat up and capture wandering children.
  173. [15:29] Salthiel Anauel whispers: I think so too.
  174. [15:31] Salthiel Anauel whispers: Although what he said made me think. What criteria should we follow, in order to know if we should let someone go away or not>
  175. [15:33] Bai Long whispers: Red eyes, demon.
  176. [15:33] Bai Long whispers: Simple criteria.
  177. [15:33] Salthiel Anauel whispers: And how do we know if someone's fighting for either of the two?
  178. [15:33] Bai Long whispers: Those ones stay, others leave, they attack? They stay, they are known people in their forces, they stay.
  179. [15:33] Bai Long whispers: We don't, that is why if they leave, with showing no signs of being part of their side...We also leave.
  180. [15:34] Bai Long whispers: We shouldn't harm those that do not need to be harmed, but we should also not trust those that we don't harm.
  181. [15:34] Salthiel Anauel whispers: Fair enough.
  182. [15:34] Eagleheart asks, "Who are you?"
  183. [15:35] Zeriel Heifang says, "That kid frequents Huagzhou. "
  184. [15:35] Eagleheart says, "So did the Mariposa siblings."
  185. [15:35] Marshmellow exclaims, "Oooh. It's the funny masked guy from the Crafthold cave!"
  186. [15:35] Zeriel Heifang says, "Other than that, no idea who he is--- fair."
  187. [15:35] Marshmellow exclaims, "--I'm a she!"
  188. [15:35] Marshmellow exclaims, "Rude!"
  189. [15:35] Eagleheart asks, "Please. Name, and where are you coming from?"
  190. [15:35] Zeriel Heifang says, "Ah? "
  191. [15:35] Marshmellow says, "I don't gotta name, but my friends call my Marshmellow."
  192. [15:36] Salthiel Anauel says, "He's reminding of a certain child. Who claims to be from Dawn, but is ignorant of the war and politics around him."
  193. [15:36] Marshmellow asks, "I dunno where I'm comin' from. I'm makin' a whole loop 'round Agartha again. I think I began this time in ta' plains?"
  194. [15:36] Okoto mumbles, glancing over, "S'just some kid. Don't bother'm."
  195. (Okoto Iya)
  196. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  197.
  198. [15:37] Eagleheart asks, "And where are you going, may I ask?"
  199. [15:37] Marshmellow points to the Mythril cave they were guarding.
  200. (Marshmellow)
  201. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  202.
  203. [15:37] Salthiel Anauel says, "Some kid who saw us reported to their beloved vampire lords."
  204. [15:37] Salthiel Anauel says, "Some kids."
  205. [15:37] Eagleheart says, "It's empty."
  206. [15:37] Marshmellow asks, "Whhhaaaat?"
  207. [15:37] Salthiel glances to Okoto.
  208. (Salthiel Anauel)
  209. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  210.
  211. [15:38] Eagleheart says, "Yes, the cave is empty."
  212. [15:38] Marshmellow asks, "Aweh. Okay. Why're you guardin' it then?"
  213. [15:38] Eagleheart says, "We have ran over it, and every source of ore will"
  214. [15:39] Eagleheart whispers something.
  215. [15:39] Eagleheart whispers something.
  216. [15:39] Marshmellow whispers something.
  217. [15:39] Eagleheart whispers something.
  218. [15:40] Eagleheart whispers something.
  219. [15:40] The masked woman jumps forwards, already knowing exactly how this would unfold on its own. She doesn't ready her rifle, however, putting her back to the serpentine creature, hands out towards Eagleheart and his hooded accomplices.
  220.
  221. "W-woah hey okay aight so- I know how this might look." She remains in that pose for a second, arms out. "B-buuut this one is okay. N-not a uh, no need for hostilities."
  222.
  223. She checks over her shoulder, probably concerned about being impaled or set on fire, or something similar. "...How- how about you guys stay here, and me and this one will uh- go talk."
  224. (Okoto Iya)
  225. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  226.
  227. [15:43] Salthiel stabbed the base of his staff against the ground. "Appearance deceive, they say. But sometimes, it does not. What is it?" inquired one of the cloaked figures.
  228. (Salthiel Anauel)
  229. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  230.
  231. [15:43] Sitting upon the edge of the small cliff, their mask staring down upon the various people in the area below him. No movements were taken, no words spoken, it seemed that he was planning to just be a masked entity that watched over the other masked ones. Though the being in front of them seemed rather 'demonish' they were unsure, not knowing the exact criteria for such things. Instead they just watched, waiting until whatever may happen, will happen.
  232. (Bai Long)
  233. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  234.
  235. [15:44] "Partially a snake-- purple in color. Last year someone from Huagzhou mentioned that something with similar features assaulted folks around--"
  236.
  237. There's a pause, and he'd glance in Okoto's direction, eyebrows certainly quirked upwards underneath that mask all the while. Silence lingers for a couple, longer moments or so before those lips part yet once again.
  238.
  239. "Besides, she screams 'demon' all over-- if not worse. Are you... sure?"
  240.
  241. Another, softer pause, and he'd spare a single glance in Eagle's direction before eyes drift back, focused upon the... thing.
  242. (Zeriel Heifang)
  243. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  244.
  245. [15:45] Marshmellow sits on the ground, pulling out a toadstood and poking it. Ears drooped, the Ookami wasn't too happy to put her mining trip on delay, but she would.
  246. (Marshmellow)
  247. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  248.
  249. [15:47] Eagleheart seems to maintain his empty gaze focused forwards, but when Okoto jumps forward in defense of the naga one, but there is a thing that ticks him off. A hand was being waved to allow the kitsune to go, but he stops halfway through.
  250.
  251. "Suspected of assault against those of Huangzhou?" He asks, before taking a few steps forward. Of course, he was all too willing to let Okoto have it her way, but the mere mention of that by Zeriel's mouth made him reconsider it.
  252.
  253. "I can't allow it to go away without at least gathering name, origins and affiliations. And now, without any defense for assaulting those from Huangzhou."
  254.
  255. "After all, it is hardly good to allow them to do something like that and walk away so they can do it again."
  256. (Eagleheart)
  257. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  258.
  259. [15:55] The slither and the scratch of her tail snapping side to side, muscles ushering the towering beast forward preclude her arrival-- with no fear of number tasted in the air ahead.
  260.
  261. She is used to this. A speedy creature, capable of evening the odds even when the humans lack these senses of honor and brevity through action that she had learned from them, felt time and itme again through wounds that have healed.
  262.
  263. All it takes is a glance. And they will tell themselves they know everything about this mutant being. Occult? Evil. Not human? Evil.
  264.
  265. Perhaps she is evil! But they could at least let her prove that she is... more of a lawful evil.
  266.
  267. Her eyes dart between the many, and hands cross over chest, that roaring and echoing shadowflame abating to a lower glow and presence as she naturally settles eye upon the only thing familiar to the sense of he lot of them.
  268.
  269. " ... Issss thissss your hunting party-- for demonss and vampiress... name. Name. Okoto? You prey musssst be. Dessssperately superior to you. Or another roaming hoard. I need no ssssuch boonsssss. "
  270.
  271. An unnecessary, cocky and confident jab at all of the strangwers, and even a touch at Okoto herself. Eagleheart would feel from this being no chaos, but a wretched occult presence akin to demon. However, her voice carries obvious sound magic, and poison floats around her being in idleness. That is too many magics for a normal demon to weild. Even an archon does not naturally deviate from their magical limitations, opting for raw power in what they grasped in growth.
  272.
  273. Most are ignored, but when Eagleheart speaks, her attention turns in kind.
  274.
  275. She looks annoyed. Her eyes lid halfway. The soft confidence is replace with a grimace of disgust. Her tail slaps in to the stone, and it cracks like glass around her. The sound shakes the caves themselves.
  276.
  277. " … … … Iam not telling thissss sssstory about those brats again. And I wassss already maimed by Desssseti for this. You know it, familiar one. " She gestures to Okoto. " Tell it for me. "
  278.
  279. Her tail coils tight around her as she offers that... (it sounds very much like a command) to Okoto, serpentine body spinning in graceful, perfect motion until she is almost lowered to human height and surrounded by herself.
  280. (Ssvii Amarulet)
  281. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  282.
  283. [16:01] Sasza asks, "Uhhh?"
  284. [16:01] Salthiel Anauel says, "Halt."
  285. [16:01] Salthiel Anauel says, "Your names and your allegiance."
  286. [16:01] Kiwi exclaims, "Kiwi!"
  287. [16:01] Bai Long says, "...Sal."
  288. [16:01] Salthiel Anauel says, "State- your names and your allegiance."
  289. [16:01] Okoto was clearly hoping that the serpent would just... remain silent. Maybe trust her to explain things. Any words clearly aren't going to improve upon the situation.
  290.
  291. Still- it's not like she expected her to remain quiet, to let all the provocations go unanswered.
  292.
  293. "Uh- y-yea," She begins, her voice breaking momentarily. She turns her head back towards the hooded figures, hands lowering slightly, her fingers curling. "...From- way she tells it, wasn't really her fault- got attacked, uh- didn't even hurt anyone, really, and regardless of that it's more nnn- settled. S'in the past. We- we had a nice talk about it, didn't we, uh- Ssssviii..?"
  294.
  295. She says the name with a distinct lack of confidence, like she herself is only mostly sure it's even the right one. Still- the reason for using it is deliberate.
  296.
  297. Assign her a name. Humanize her. Maybe not a monster.
  298.
  299. The more she speaks, the more her voice grows more confident. "...She's not- she's not evil, or a monster- and you can't tell me most people wouldn't just attack her on sight for the hel of it."
  300.
  301. She takes a step back, towards the serpent, her instincts screaming at her that it's suicidal. Still, she forces herself to remain just in front of Ssvii. "And- I think she might be willing to help, somewhat, if- if someone gave her a chance. I wouldn't be here if someone hadn't given me one."
  302.
  303. Then- more people. Great. This definitely just got 1000 times more complicated.
  304. (Okoto Iya)
  305. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  306.
  307. [16:01] Bai Long says, "Either way."
  308. [16:01] Bai Long says, "Those are children right there."
  309. [16:01] Kiwi exclaims, "Oh I know that voice!"
  310. [16:02] Salthiel glances briefly to Bai. "Please, let's not use our real names here."
  311. (Salthiel Anauel)
  312. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  313.
  314. [16:02] Bai Long says, "...It already didn't matter when I spoke."
  315. [16:02] Kiwi exclaims, "Hi bai!"
  316. [16:02] Bai motions at Kiwi, as Bai had not been hiding his voice in the least.
  317. (Bai Long)
  318. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  319.
  320. [16:02] Marshmellow exclaims, "Sanza!"
  321. [16:02] Salthiel Anauel says, "Then go."
  322. [16:02] Sasza says, "Uhhh..."
  323. [16:03] Bai Long says, "Well, before leaving..."
  324. [16:03] Sasza drags the gang of children up for a group huddle.
  325. (Sasza)
  326. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  327.
  328. [16:03] Bai Long says, "Stick around before going, for just a small bit longer."
  329. [16:03] Bai Long asks, "We'll be leaving in just a moment ourselves, then you all leave, if you don't mind?"
  330. [16:04] Sasza whispers something.
  331. [16:04] Josephine whispers something.
  332. [16:04] Josephine whispers something.
  333. [16:05] Kiwi whispers something.
  334. [16:05] Bai just sort of decides to get back on the cliff with the various kids, he didn't think this wouldn't become a fight, in the least.
  335. (Bai Long)
  336. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  337.
  338. [16:05] Kiwi whispers something.
  339. [16:05] Sasza whispers something.
  340. [16:05] Sasza whispers something.
  341. [16:05] Sasza waves at Marshmellow.
  342. (Sasza)
  343. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  344.
  345. [16:05] Josephine whispers something.
  346. [16:07] Bai Long asks, "So all you kids, mining trip?"
  347. [16:08] Marshmellow says, "Yeah! I was mining alone, though..."
  348. [16:08] Sasza says, "Nnn... Vanted to beat up daemons until goodies fell out."
  349. [16:09] Bai Long asks, "Gathering materials then?"
  350. [16:09] Sasza says, "Yesss..."
  351. [16:09] Bai Long says, "That's fair."
  352. [16:09] Bai Long says, "Well, pleasure just sit around and rest for just a bit longer Fae."
  353.
  354. [16:21] The words of the serpentine form clearly don't bring any amusement to Eagleheart's face. A frown slowly takes shape, given all of her words. Specially the one that she uses in the middle -- Prey. To call him, the group or simply Okoto as prey was rather...
  355.
  356. Unamusing.
  357.
  358. But upon having Salthiel approaching the other group that comes from behind them, he turns slightly. Well, if things broke out, they are severely outnumbered here, even if the kids might keep to themselves mostly and above anything.
  359.
  360. It wasn't to him. But still... There is one thing that he dislikes about it all. Even when he requests Okoto to say something, she just evades the question entirely. "Too many..." He speaks, in a hushed tone.
  361.
  362. "But you still haven't answered any of my questions, Okoto. To say that she is simply not guilty is something that it is for us to decide, specially given that you're trying to sell her as a good-willed person right here."
  363.
  364. "Keeping details to yourself, both of you, doesn't help anyone."
  365.
  366. But then, a sigh. A soothing chime expands through the room, accompanied by something like a breeze, but then, he slowly raises his right hand towards the group around him.
  367.
  368. "We're leaving. Too many people. We can't keep control of the situation like this."
  369. (Eagleheart)
  370. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  371.
  372. [16:24] Julian sits down on the steps and leans on the edge, snoozing a bit. They'd be here for a little too long, it seems.
  373. (Julian Varga)
  374. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  375.
  376. [16:25] There's a shift, and quietly would he tilt his head over to the side. A frown certainly embraces along underneath that mask, though no words escape him. Between the strong, strong presence of occult, and the the prideful, patronizing demeanor, he couldn't help but find his fist clenching for just a moment there.
  377.
  378. "Considered herself queen or so, and reports painted her in a... different picture than you explain-- not to mention the ones assaulted were mere kids, weak and unable to defend themselves--"
  379.
  380. Abruptly do the words come to a halt, and his attention only finds itself stolen by the sudden... well, quite a crowd just passing through those lovely caverns all the while. He'd turn about, and perhaps simply caused by an instinct, traces of pure, pristine energy certainly flickers about his form-- almost hostile.
  381.
  382. Almost.
  383.
  384. Any conversation in-between is ignored, and slowly, quietly would he tilt his head over to the side, shifting his glance about. They were all kids, not particularly hostile-- though numbers are numbers, and if they ended up stumbling into someone... that might want to take things southwards, chances are that those numbers would simply align against them.
  385.
  386. "Let them go,"
  387.
  388. The words are quick, brief as he'd shift his glance between Salthiel and Bai all the while.
  389.
  390. "We're going back. Too many charming, little guests here; it's far too crowded."
  391.
  392. The words didn't particularly wait for Eagle's suggestion before they escape, and he wouldn't particularly wait either before turning around, and slowly taking a step eastwards. There's a brief pause, and he'd beckon the others over. Though despite the situation, his voice comes off soft, perhaps somewhat amused in the moment, at that.
  393.
  394. "Come, we're off."
  395. (Zeriel Heifang)
  396. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  397.
  398. [16:26] Kiwi says, "oH.."
  399. [16:26] Kiwi says, "Erm.."
  400. [16:27] Kiwi frowns.
  401. (Kiwi)
  402. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  403.
  404. [16:28] Watching the scene below, the young girl takes in the sight of it all; how spooky this all seemed. Josie could not help but laugh! "Seems like we crashed a party guys, this is waaay better than looking for supplies."
  405.
  406. Looking to their small group of children, the girl looked to see if any of them seemed too alarmed-- Thankfully, they did not. SO! With a grin, the girl would sit on the edge and watch with baited breath. "Hmmm~"
  407. (Josephine)
  408. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  409.
  410. [16:29] The magi, without further ado, would simply vanish into thin air.
  411. (Salthiel Anauel)
  412. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  413.
  414. [16:29] Sasza also plops down at the edge of the ledge, kicking their little legs out as they look down at the snake, the paladin, and all the masked figures. "Mh? Do not think we mind staying a bit." A cursory glance over their companions follow. "Right?..."
  415.
  416. With a small shrug, the moth beams a big smile as their large brown eyes scan over the numerous strangers. "Mh. Vell, if you do leave, hope to we get chance to introduce selves sometime!"
  417. (Sasza)
  418. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  419.
  420. [16:30] A small wave is given to the children nearby, his hand showing briefly before once more hiding beneath his cloak. With the good idea of leaving spoken of, he dove off the cliff, landing with both feet against the ground. Masked eyes glanced across all that were around him and he gave a shrug, "Well, had a feeling this is how it'd go, let's definitely get going."
  421.
  422. They had no real care to the actual situation at hand, they were simply uncaring as it was obvious nothing was going to happen, like it should be.
  423. (Bai Long)
  424. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  425.
  426. [16:31] Sasza whispers something.
  427. [16:31] Sasza whispers something.
  428. [16:31] Kiwi whispers something.
  429. [16:32] Sasza whispers something.
  430. [16:32] The Ookami looked north to the previously emptied cave, then to the masked group. Glancing at Sasza's group then back to the naga who she'd spotted multiple times before in this cave, the Ookami made a move. Hiding away her toadstood once more, it seems she was intent on trailing the Huangzhou citizens.
  431.
  432. Because she's just that smart, or maybe she had a question to ask. Who knows?
  433. (Marshmellow)
  434. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  435.
  436. [16:35] Sasza whispers something.
  437. [16:36] Josephine whispers something.
  438. [16:36] Julian Varga whispers something.
  439. [16:37] Sasza whispers something.
  440. [16:37] Sasza whispers something.
  441. [16:38] Josephine whispers something.
  442. [16:39] Sasza whispers something.
  443. [16:39] Josephine whispers something.
  444. [16:40] Sasza whispers something.
  445. [16:42] Josephine whispers something.
  446. [16:42] Kiwi whispers something.
  447. [16:42] Kiwi whispers something.
  448. [16:43] Kiwi whispers something.
  449. [16:43] How absolutely amusing, it felt. This one was defending her. Speaking for her. Like a subject! Which could only justify the right to call herself the Queen that she already was in her power. She should gather more of these doting little humans with the sense to follow her and speak for her and defend her from brazen foolishness. They could even bring her food and fortune, and she could direct them and show them her strength to remind them for why they follow...
  450.
  451. What an intoxicating thought. But she gets a little ahead of herself...
  452.
  453. " Yesss. Being attacked on sight is the story of my short waking months, yess... "
  454.
  455. Despite that, she smiles with naught but confidence. She had been so lowly, when wounds plagued her. But she had no fear, no reason for anything but bravado now.
  456.
  457. She's got obstacles. Obvious, glaring obstacles in more assuming, ambitious humans who likely just see her as a conquest more than anything living and breathing. But she has slowly come to feel pride in this. She grins wide, flashing those terrifyingly serpentine fangs that slide further out of a hiding bit in her flesh, so far that they overcome her lower row of very human chompers.
  458.
  459. " ... What I am. I am a lone being who acts in sself-interest. Ssssimple. Do not call me a demon. Perhapss a sserpent. I do ssssort of like that. The Sssserpent or Sssssnake Queen, or the Queen of the Sssssands, to any of you. "
  460.
  461. They're leaving. She's speaking in response to nobody in particular, and they are readying to depart. She remains, shoos them off with a dismissive hand gesture and picks at her nails as they radiate a presence of pure, warping mana.
  462. (Ssvii Amarulet)
