Owls and a Fool Chapter I Part V
>Ear-bursting shots are the only audible sounds right now
>You and Blitzo relentlessly fire lead upon the robot clown
>The bullets don’t seem to be doing much

>Before you can process his actions Robo Fizz has already made his way up to you two
>He grabs Blitzo and throws him out of the circus via the roof
>You slam into Robo with a shoulder charge, knocking him to the ground
>You’re 6’4”, so you’re relatively big
>Still slightly shorter than Ock haha
>You ignore the soreness in your arm as you attempt to hold him down
>He finds a weak spot, using both of his legs to throw you out of the circus entrance
>You land with a tumble, audibly groaning at the searing pain in your ribs
>The circus is suddenly burning with a green fire now
>You run to find Moxxie and Millie to warn them about the clown
>As you find them, you see a red blur coming crashing down through the stand
>It’s Blitzo of course
>Robo Fizz is approaching you, with his outside formation melting off of him
>”...You guys go make sure Stolas is okay, I got unfinished business to take care of”
>”Blitzo, I’m not leaving you to fight this creep”
>”There’s no time to argue, Anon, get your stubborn royal ass out of here before you get hurt even more!”
>”NO!”
>”GO! Duty calls, Anon”
>Your mind goes blank for a moment, and you realize what you have to do
>Leaving the imp to the murderous clown, you catch up to the two employees looking for Stolas
>Stolas is following a crying Octavia into a fun house, with the three of you following close by
>As you trail him, another imp sneaks up on the gigantic Owl, clinging onto him
>”Um, I think I’m supposed to be bodyguarded right now!”
>Both you and Millie draw your weapons, with you being ever so slightly faster
>A .22 bullet is seen flashing its way through the assassin’s head
>Moxxie looks at you with inspiration as Stolas beckons you to follow...

>As you follow Stolas into the interior of the Fun House, you both find Octavia in a rotating cart, crying to herself
>Stolas holds out his hand as to say “Let me handle this, Anon”
>You stay back hiding behind a wall as you eavesdrop on their conversation
>…This is really sad
>You never knew that Ock felt this way ever since Blitzo first came into this mess
>A shockwave off guilt flies throughout your body
>You’re not going to let Ock go through this without you
>You step into the room once more
>”…No, never. I’d never do that, never”
>”Ock"
>Both of your family members look up at you
>Stolas looks at you with disapproval and frustration
>Your reassuring but serious look gives him the implication to let you do your thing
>”Ock, if you weren’t listening to me before, then do so for this, okay?”
>She nods, wiping her tears off and giving you her full attention"
>”I have not been the best brother, and I haven’t been checking up on you”
>”But don’t EVER think that we would leave you behind for ANYTHING”
>”To both Stolas and I, you’re our world. You’re the only thing keeping our family together right now”
>Stolas is about to respond, but you react quicker with a glare and holding up your finger to say “don’t interrupt”
>”Dad and I will not allow anything to ruin what we have. I can’t even describe how much you mean to him, to me”
>”Even though I may be adopted, you are still my sister. Nothing is going to change that, ever”
>”I will always be by your side. Satan forbid if anything ever happened to you, we’d go to heaven and back to make whoever'd hurt you pay”
>“I don’t care what anyone else says, you are still a part of MY FAMILY”
>Your voice starts to raise
>”A family never leaves anyone behind, Ock!”
>”I will never leave you. I’ll always be with you! You know why?”
>”Because I FKING LOVE YOU.”

>You finish with tears of your own, holding both shoulders and looking straight into each other’s eyes
>It continues like this for a few seconds, but it feels like an eternity
>Octavia starts tearing up again, in sadness and… guilt?
>Before you know it, she throws herself onto you with the harshest hug you’ve ever felt
>She’s struggling to hold back her sobs, and so are you
>Your limited V. Mayday shirt is probably ruined by now, but that’s the least of your worries
>As you hold each other, you start to get a feeling that you haven’t felt in forever
>Peace…
>You smile as the two of you hold each other tighter
>Stolas even has some tears with him as he joins the two of you
>As you release each other, Stolas picks up and carries Ock bridal style
>”We should go, you two. You’re both too old for this place, anyway”
>As you head down the hallway with your family, you hear something land on the floor
>You hear what you think is the unsheathing of a knife
>You quickly turn around, about to shoot whatever was ruining the moment
>Stolas immediately petrifies an imp, turning it to stone near instantaneously
>”…Can you t-“
>”No.”
>Damn it
>You shoot the statue as a final “fk you” before catching up
>Holy sht the entire park is on fire
>You see the imps still fighting Robo Fizz, with Stolas and Ock completely ignoring the situation
>Moxxie on a dragon comes out of nowhere and eats Robo Fizz whole before you can do anything
>The three of you exit the park
>”Anon, dad…”
>”Thank you.”

Hey everyone, I wanted to give a quick update on Owls and a Fool. After having some long conversations and many re-reads, I realize I clearly didn’t get it quite right. It sticks way too close to the original show, and it isn’t really about Anon and his family, more like a shtter Loo Loo Land, so here’s what the plan is.
>Have Anon become the true main focus. This isn’t supposed to be some self-insert.
>Ditch second-person view entirely.
>Create a true prologue to show Anon’s not so distant past, his worries, and his hopes for the future of his family.
>Show evidence of an existing conflict between Anon and Octavia, to result in better overall development of relationships
>Remove unnecessary references and explanations
With this, it means that the way the story will be released is going to change.
>First is a prologue introducing Anon, and follows him into his inner battles concerning his relationships.
>Second is a complete rework of Chapter I. Many of the changes listed are too drastic to continue the story after the initial release
>Finally, continue from that point forward.
I’m really excited to show you what I have planned. Steve and I had a long talk about it and I can’t wait to show it to you all. Good night.

Prologue
>Pentogram City seems to be as busy as ever today
>The distant noise of cars and sinners brings sound to what would have been deafening silence
>Deep in the city lies an impressive manor, belonging to the Goetia family
>Near the top of the manor stands a silhouette smoking on top of a balcony
>That’s me, Anonymous Goetia
>Now, you wouldn’t expect someone like me to be one of them, considering my not-owl appearance
>I’m an adopted family member and have lived with them for as long as I can remember
>How I got in hell remains a mystery, but I do know that when Stolas found me, I was in really bad shape
>I was still an infant, a human infant
>Despite a newly born Octavia already taking up lots of my parents’ time, they still wanted to look after me
>At least Stolas did. Stella, my adopted mom, wasn’t so keen on the idea considering I wasn’t royalty
>All of this is kind of why I’m up here right now
>My family
>Anon takes a long puff of his cigarette, burning up almost half of it as the nicotine courses through his veins
>A long sigh escapes him as a large cloud of smoke flies into the air
>”Why can’t they just be happy with me?”
>”Why can’t I be happy with them?”
>In case you've got a smooth brain, I’m struggling with my family right now
>Stolas and Stella are blatantly showing that they don’t love each other, at least not anymore
>Ock (what I call my sister Octavia) doesn’t even want to have anything to do with me
>Any time I try to even talk to her, she shoves me away like I’m some stranger
>Along the lines of “Good mor-“ “Fuck off”
>Anon leans on the edge of the balcony to take everything in, with the half-burnt cigarette still wedged in between his fingers
>It’s not going to stay this way, however
>I’m going to show my family how much I love them, no matter how long it takes
>”ANONYMOUS!”
>Anon freezes at Stella’s call, knowing that he’d been caught smoking again
>Time for another lecture…
