Ruby and Sapphire rarely argue, or be seen, since they're constantly fused.

"You really think you can beat me in a fight, Ruby?"

"Mhm," the hothead answered, "I KNOW I can beat you in a fight, Sapphire."

"No, you don't." replied Sapphire, with a smirk across her face.

Ruby rolls her eyes and charges at her, readying a punch as she goes. Sapphire swiftly steps aside, having predicted her attack.

"You won't win, Ruby." Sapphire calmly stated, with her face pointed towards her opponent.

Ruby growls. She turns again and swings once more, only to hit thin air as Sapphire has dodged her once again.

"There is no future in which you would." Sapphire continued.

Ruby yells before running at her, prepared to turn slightly away to keep up with Sapphire's constant side-stepping.

Sapphire just stood still.

"It. Won't. Happen."

Moments before landing a punch, Ruby stops in her tracks, tears forming in her eyes.

"It's not fair!" she cried, "You can just do it forever, I'll never be equal to you and your powers!"

Ruby covers her face, her ego and feelings having been cut deep.

Sapphire hasn't seen this. "Ruby, I... You know that's not true. I see us two as far more than equal, I see us as Garnet. I see us as one."

Sapphire approaches, extending her arms towards her lover.

Ruby quickly clocks her in the jaw, knocking Sapphire right on her ass.

"AHAHAHAAHA!" Laughed Ruby, "Ahahaha! I win! You can't see my future when I'm too emotional!"

Ruby starts running circles around the knocked-down Sapphire, hands in the air, laughing the entire time.

Sapphire starts to giggle a bit, that then grows to laughter that would match Ruby's.

After a while, Ruby gives her hand to Sapphire to help her up, and they fuse back into Garnet, feeling as fresh as ever.
