 So maybe you find a whole bunch of white powders in the Earl's car
 And you get him to taste them and he comes up with memories

 I love it when puzzles allow you to add story to a character like this

 And then four dialog options with "Sugar, Salt, Flour, Opium"
 And if you click the right one he's like "Ah yes, he talked of taking opium with that voluptuous wench Miss Stoat"
 Otherwise he's like "Hmm, I see nothing that points to it being sugar"
