Dev --- Success & Failures… Orion’s Theory on the Golden Ratio of Mana

[05:28] Alexandrea says, "Mmmh... You play with Orion. I'm going to go do some more planting."
[05:28] Orion Sinclair exclaims, "Stay right there!"
[05:28] Eccentric Song asks, "Okay, want the seeds?"
[05:28] Alexandrea says, "Neh I have a plan of my own."

[05:44] Upon leaving the forge, young Orion made his way over to the same tree's he conducted his last experiment on, and it seemed like they had returned to their normal state... He placed a gentle touch upon the base of three trees, marking them with his runes/glyph's through the use of water magic.

"I will need your strengths once more, o' dear children of nature."

Soon after marking the tree's, Orion went ahead to inscribe this circle upon the ground, linking the three trees together as well as drawing a triangle within it's center, this provided him with a mana stream, something that will not only bend his own mana but link the trees together and manipulate the mana that lies dormant within them.

Orion was both calm and patient, much like his ideology on the Ocean of Time, he didn't have the luxury to rush anything. If he wanted this experiment to turn out as a great demonstration, he would need to be precise and cautious. The following Runes/Glyph's were written upon each tree:

If any rune'glyph-scribes were in the area, they'd easily be able to read the words written... Slowly but surely, Orion poured his energy into the runes/glyph's, causing them to emit a bright glow. The area around them was covered in a fine light while the mana link drew each tree together. Forcing them to merge ever so slowly, the three trees remained rooted to the ground due to Orion's lack of mastery over the art and missing the pieces he needs in order to perfect it.

The trees became one large and tall figure, one that resembled a giant warrior, not a man nor a woman, simply just a titan. Standing over twenty feet high, the Sentinel-prototype stood still, hardly even capable of lifting it's arms... It moved around for about thirty seconds before freezing up and stiffing itself, reverting to it's tree like properties. It stood in place like a titanic statue, and Orion himself suffered a great toll from the use of his own energy. (800 of 1150 energy.)

"It's like mother said, we must let ourselves blossom, and do all that it takes," said Orion, stumbling about, his hands flat on the surface of his titanic creation... Breathing with his heart racing so fast, sweating bricks and shaking, feeling the difficulty of creating one Sentinel...However like all of his other experiments, there was something he lacks, something he needs to perfect his goal, he didn't know what it was but it drove him crazy... Such can be seen in his eyes, his ambition, his strive for such puppets... He couldn't be their power-source, he would need to establish a proper link to the forest around them, but he did not know how... He'd later seek out Adsila for answers to his clues.

[05:51] Song observes Orion’s efforts at first with a raised eyebrow, as his disciples method of enchanting had begun to differ significantly from his own style.

His expression only changes into one of wide-eyed amazement when the makeshift tree-warrior begins to move about, seemingly on its own.

"You've broken new ground, my disciple. I don't think I've even heard of something like this actually succeeding before."

[06:01] Falling onto the ground, lying flat on his back, Orion gazed into the sky, it being so late within the evening, he saw a few stars. Breathing so hard, feeling like he almost allowed part of his life force to enter the trees, he replied to his master with a fatigued tone.

"You once told me... That Glyph's Manipulate the mana of the world... I saw something more with your training, I saw this... This was what that nightmare was about, this is our new reality..."

He paused, short of breath after saying such, "Within your lessons, I saw a Golden Ratio within the consistency of your Glyph's, the enchanting...If that same pool of mana... Could be stored within... Objects with life... Trees, to make... Sentinels..." Orion mentions the Golden Ratio as his hard worked problem he solved within the previous years... Making it so that the quality and quantity of mana stored within a tree would be perfect as well as giving them the appropriate shape to channel that mana and rely on the runes constant intake of energy as a power source...

Like the few street lights that are powered from runes as well as the other utilities he's come across within Valmasia… Ancient swords and magical relics, all had Glyph's (Runes) to empower them... Through this, he saw potential for more, he saw his nightmare, his goal, the Sentinel's of Glade... Even if it backfires... He desired a true man's world.

[06:04] Eccentric Song says, "Well, as long as you believe you can succeed, it's worth continuing down this path. You're certainly making progress in leaps and bounds, mmm"
[06:05] Alexandrea asks, "I don't... see what the big deal is. It's just a tree right?"
[06:05] Eccentric Song exclaims, "A tree that moves!"
[06:05] Alexandrea asks, "So it's a dryad?"
[06:05] Eccentric Song says, "A man-made dryad, I suppose... but we probably shouldn't say that to Mother Adsila"
[06:07] "It's not just a tree, it's... Fellowship..." Orion shows them the Glyph's drawn onto his hand, a personal mark to control them in the future...

"Looking at Mother gave me this idea, as well as masters art behind the craft," said Orion...

Dev --- An Additional hand, another day of research!

[09:30] Orion went ahead with his plan, smiling at Aurora with a confident expression, strolling over to the three trees near his hut. It was then where Orion would begin to draw an additional set of runes, all bearing similar marks yet containing very different meanings.

The young Rune writer made his first attempt with this experiment, placing his hands flat upon the tree bark. And like a steady river he would begin to channel his energy into the runes, allowing them to emit a green and blue-ish glow.

Each of the runes began to shine, they only had so much they could do, but Orion thought what better time than now to use his theory. "Aurora, use your Runes with your magic and let's see if it'll work! I've done it before but they'd move only for 30 seconds, and revert to their tree stiffness," said Orion... The following runes translated to the following, Aurora would likely be able to read them if she practiced the art:

Orion continued to pour his energy into the runes to see if the trees would merge again this time, or if it would backfire and have them strike him again.

[09:36] Acal says, "Aight, I'll come with."
[09:40] With two different energy sources pouring into the runes, Orion maintained his focus... HE was unsure of Aurora's abilities with the runes but he was for certain that she knew the basics... And thus, the magic was born.

Like the Ocean of Time, his and her mana seeped into the runic markings, linking the three trees together. With their mana not infused, the trees slowly came together much like his last prototype Sentinel. Slowly but surely, they became one tall warrior like figure, twisting and bending it's wood until the form was as clear as day.

Their mana created somewhat of a man-made circuit, allowing their energies to flow with less difficulty than he's had with the previous experiments... But alas, this tree was given a tad bit too much energy to work with... Once it's form was complete, it was still rooted to the ground making it imperfect, as if the Golden ratio calculations of mana were incorrect and Orion had not actually achieved such a perfect rotation of energy just yet.

Tall and mighty, the tree sentinel took a swing at Orion, pushing him away only to become as still as a statue shortly after... Slowly but surely, the tree sentinel reverts back to the original state of a tree, separated into three as it was before.

"...That was bizarre, I need better results... Next time, you doing well Aurora?"

[09:49] Acal says, "Um, I'll go water the plants and stuff. Good luck with whatever you guys are doin'."
[09:50] Aurora Averin exclaims, "Song! Hello!"
[09:50] Song stands proudly, presenting himself in a profound posture.
