Vernestra began coughing as she inhaled the gas filling the cargo hold. It made her head spin, and the blaster bolt that singed her cheek knocked her off balance as she tried to avoid it. Then she was on the ground, her chest heaving as her body was racked with coughs.

And then there was nothing to do but succumb to the darkness.
