  1. The general's purpose is to discuss Virtual Reality games and technology, excluding social games such as VRChat and anything connected to it. This general was created to separate VR gaming from VR Social games such as VRChat as it has grown to popular to still be apart of a VR gaming discussion without it taking over most topics.
  2.
  3. These generals are dedicated to the people that would like to discuss Virtual Reality games and technology.
  4. VR games are often hosted in the /vrg/ thread but feel free to organize a game lobby for any VR multiplayer games here as well. Events and lobbies will not be attached to the OP and therefore you'll have to join from people in the thread.
  5.
  6. Things that are off-topic to this general are:
  7. >VRChat topics and questions
  8. >3d modelling, avatar creation, blender.
  9. >Off-topic drama
  10. >Vague posts
  11. >VR E-celebs
  12. >Namefagging
  13. >Trolling
  14. >Lewd or explicite pictures
  15. >Posting a picture with no accommodating text
  16. >Discord server invites
  17. >Event shilling
  18.
  19. If any of these show up then please hide and report the posts. Thank you

  21. You'll want a fairly good computer to keep the framerates steady, but the minimum requirements aren't as high as you may think.
  22. You can use the SteamVR performance test to get an idea of how good your computer is for VR:

  24.
  25. >Headset Selection
  26. The current PCVR headsets are the Rift S, the Index and HTC revive. Your best bet is probably to pick up a Rift S or Valve Index however waiting time can take up to 10 weeks for final delivery. (updated)
  27. Windows Mixed Reality headsets or used Rifts/Vives are still out there too if you're looking for a cheaper PCVR alternative.
  28. Oculus Quest is mostly intended as a standalone headset, but can also be used with a PC through Oculus Link.
  29. PSVR is limited, so avoid it if you can unless you are a console ONLY.
  30. If you've got any questions, post in the thread, and anons try to help.
