  1. Magic Deckbuilder
  2. Required:
  3. Around 20 of each basic land.
  4. A stack of non-land cards.
  5. Setup:
  6. - Each player takes 2 of each basic land, and shuffles them together. That is now the player’s deck.
  7. - Shuffle the stack of non-land cards, and place the top six cards into the centre of the table face up.
  8. - Each player has 20 life.
  9. - Each player draws 5 cards. This is their starting hand.
  10. Rules:
  11. - A turn has 4 phases:
  12. o Beginning phase
  13. o Main Phase
  14. o Combat Phase
  15. o Cleanup Phase
  16. - In the beginning Phase:
  17. o Untap Step
  18. o Upkeep
  19. - In the main phase you can
  20. o Play one land from your hand per turn.
  21. o Cast cards in your hand (You still have to pay the mana cost).
  22. o Purchase cards in the centre row.
  23.  Purchasing cards costs the mana cost of the card you are purchasing. When you purchase a card, you immediately cast it for free, and then when it dies/resolves, put it into your graveyard unless otherwise specified. Instant/Sorcery cards must have legal targets to purchase them.
  24.  At any time, if there are not 6 cards in the center row, immediately flip over the top card of the centre row until there are 6 cards in the centre row.
  25. o Activate abilities of cards.
  26. o Pay 1 and discard a card to gain a basic land, putting it into your graveyard.
  27. - In the Combat Phase you can:
  28. o Conduct combat the same as in normal MTG.
  29. o If it is not your turn, you can only cast instants and activate abilities during the opponent’s combat phase.
  30. - In the Cleanup Phase:
  31. o Discard your hand.
  32. o Draw 5 cards. If there are not enough cards left in your deck to draw, draw as many as you can, and then shuffle your graveyard into your deck, and then draw the remaining cards.
  33. If the Stack runs out of cards, and neither player can win, the game is a draw.
