In the dystopic Sogslog City, full of mutant citizens, lawless depravity, debauchery and crime was unchecked. In this veritable city of sin and sludge, the mutant people did whatever they desired, even against the will of others. Murder, theft, gang violence, and depraved acts were committed regularly; life was hard on the quiet folk stuck in the constant chaos and degeneracy.
The people of Sogslog were mutant abominations that relied on disturbing organic technology. Many of them didn't even resemble humans any more, and featured distended, otherworldly figures. Some people resembled bizarre beasts, with insectoid features — their behavior was often just as strange, often reveling in the lawlessness and chaos.

Puck woke up to the usual sounds of hollering, squelching, and distant crashes and crunches, as a blood storm thundered, far away from the city. Puck was a boyish humanoid, with a prehensile tongue, grey skin, and reptilian eyes. His short stature allowed him to fit inside the dried carapace shell that the orphan made his home.
Puck used his lizard-like eyes to take in the view outside the alleyway he often slept. On the other side of the street, a dog-sized spider-creature killed a rat with its mandibles, and carried it past a green, three-eyed mutant as it sat by the curb and stuffed its hand down its pants.
"Can't find me bloody orbs! Need steamed shrieker maggots... Maybe a puss bio-vendor..." the green mutant huffed. The spider-creature snickered and continued dragging the rat away, skittering past odd buildings, bioluminescent mushroom lamps and biopunk technology — organic, living devices and machinery.

Puck drank from the alley's bio-gutter, before throwing a small tattered shawl over his grey skin.
Puck headed down past the chitinous walls of the alley to the streets. The pitter-patter of his bare feet echoed through the dense smog of the city. As Puck walked,
