  1. Giants
  2.
  3. Large and powerful, Giants live up to their name as massive hulking brutes. While not their most common creatures in the world, they have made quite the impact in the past and are greatly favoured as bodyguards due to their intimidating size. Thick-skinned and strong, they have begun to thrive across the world, but otherwise look for all the world like unusually tall humans.

  15.
  16. •Ability Scores: +2 Strength, -2 Dexterity. Giants are large and powerful, but their bulk makes them less agile.
  17. •Medium-sized: As medium-sized creatures, giants have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size.
  18. •Base Speed: Giants have a base land speed of 30 ft. and a run speed of x4.
  19. •Powerful Build: Giants are large and their physical stature allows them to function in many ways as if they were one size category larger than they actually are. Whenever a giant is subject to a size modifier or special size modifier for an opposed check (such as during grapple checks, bull rush attempts and trip attempts), it is treated as one size larger than it actually is regardless of whether this is advantageous or not. A giant is also considered to be one size larger when determining whether a creature’s special attack s based upon size (such as improved grab or swallow whole) can affect it. Their lifting and carrying limits are 50% higher than those of a medium character are.
  20. •Healthy: Giants are quite tough and gain a +1 racial bonus to fortitude saves.
  21. •Adaptive: Giants are well known for their ability to survive in harsh weather, and gain a +10 non-cumulative racial bonus to fortitude saves against hot or cold weather.
