The sniper screamed, clearly nearing his limit. Unable to bear the pain any longer, he put his finger on the trigger and then immediately went still.

The counterattack had come. It seemed this method wouldn’t work either. No matter what mental condition the attacker was in, they would die. But she wasn’t disappointed. She hadn’t had any expectations in the first place. This was just another round in a long line of experiments.

She looked down at the target. He was normally alone, but today he was walking around the city with a girl. It almost looked like they were having fun. They were three hundred meters away.

限界 が 来 た の だろ う。 狙撃 手 は 痛み に 耐え かね て 引き金 に 手 を かけ、 そして 動か なく なっ た。 　 ターゲット に 反撃 さ れ た の だ。 　 今回 も だめ だっ た。 どの よう な 精神状態 だろ う と 殺そ う と すれ ば 殺さ れる の だ。 　 だが 少女 は 落胆 し て い なかっ た。 もともと 期待 は し て おら ず、 これ も 実験 の 一部 でしか ない。 　 屋上 から ターゲット を 見る。 普段 は 単独行動 だっ た が、 今日 は 少女 を 連れ て 街中 を 歩い て い た。 その ため か どこ か 楽し げ な 様子 だ。 　 距離 に し て 三百 メートル。
