  1. [23:09] Kofe says, "Pericles."
  2. [23:09] Kofe says, "Inante gave the go. He even laughed that I had to ask the question."
  3. [23:09] Pericles Vitalis says, "Kofe, did you get the chance to.."
  4. [23:09] Pericles Vitalis says, "Perfect, perfect."
  5. [23:10] Pericles lightly nodded, cosmic-codex pushed against his side as he idly glanced around the hall of the church for a moment, before eyes fell back onto Kofe as he waited.
  6. (Pericles Vitalis)
  7. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  8.
  9. [23:10] Kofe didn't seem as enthusiastic as ever. A bit more... goal-oriented. Still, he wasn't a complete mess physically.
  10.
  11. "Let's get started."
  12. (Kofe)
  13. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  14.
  15. [23:11] Kofe asks, "What's the first step?"
  16. [23:11] Pericles Vitalis asks, "Did you already have a star within your mind?"
  17. [23:11] Kofe asks, "I only know of one. What're they all?"
  18. [23:17] Del practically ran all over Osrona, in search of somebody-- Well, three people in particular. A cousin, a Stellus, and a High Keeper. The latter found after pushing open every door in the Church.
  19.
  20. They're out of breath, face flushed entirely, eyes a little watery- Tears. Del breathed heavily as they spotted the High Keeper, arm moving up to wipe at their eyes.
  21.
  22. Golden rays flared on occasion as they looked only at Pericles, Kofe, unfortunately, entirely looked past.
  23.
  24. What an odd feeling. Foreign and propelling the timid Del to actually run and search desperately for somebody.
  25.
  26. They don't speak, they merely wait..
  27. (Del mer Joyau)
  28. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  29.
  30. [23:20] Pericles made his way deeper into the church, taking a lead up the stairs and towards the more private prayer room that would be suitable for the current lesson.
  31.
  32. The High Keeper's hand waved over towards the cushion, arms coming to cross in front of himself as he waited. Kofe's question had the man's head lightly nodding.
  33.
  34. It seemed an explanation was in order.
  35.
  36. "There's eighteen stars within the Constellation of Leonaus. Six stars within each branch. Let's start off with the first branch, the Yellow branch. which entails the body of the Lion."
  37.
  38. "Leo, Geist, Alph, Lyzel, Phos and Sae. The first, has the potential to promote leadership within people, the second visions, third charisma, fourth efficiency, fifth firmness and the final star Sae promotes understanding."
  39.
  40. Patience born from constant sittings led to the High Keeper slowly speaking out words he had no doubt spoken a thousand times, pausing momentarily to allow the information to sink in before continuing.
  41.
  42. "Next. The blue branch, the head of the lion."
  43.
  44. "Hiero, Biblos, Uner, Iberl, Rhyt and finally Syph. Interpretation, passion, invention, observation, rationality and finally coherency are traits that can become even more heightened."
  45.
  46. And finally, the final branch was explained towards the rhoynish teenager, smile upon his lips as he spoke next.
  47.
  48. "The red branch, the paws of the lion."
  49.
  50. "Ios, Vrona, Twe, Anos, Yiel and Neoi. From first to last we have, morale capacity, offensive capacity, economic capacity, defensive capacity, religious capacity and finally intellectual capacity."
  51.
  52. Finally the Constellation itself and all the stars were explained for the teenager, his head tilting to the side as he stared, once again waiting for the information to soak in before asking a question of his own.
  53.
  54. "Do you still recall the words I spoke back whenI first explained the branches to you?"
  55. (Pericles Vitalis)
  56. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  57.
  58. [23:35] There was a long list of different stars given to him. Just how many of them meant different things if that's how it was for just eighteen of them. His eyes wandered up to the skies, thinking upon what he believed was best for him— what fit him the most.
  59.
  60. Different branches, different colors, and different meanings. If anything Kofe was more of a person of thought. When it came to Rhoynish at any rate. His lips parted for a moment, then went back shut, then parted again.
  61.
  62. ".. Observation. I want to see the world and speak of it. To tell the tales of others; that's what I think fits... best." He said, nodding. Of course, one wasn't to choose their star but the calling probably meant something.
  63.
  64. "Iberl, right?" He asked, turning to Pericles, then to Del who seemed... agitated.
  65. (Kofe)
  66. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  67.
  68. [23:38] Pericles's eyes turned towards the suddenly arriving Del, frown overtaking his visage for the slightest of moments as he took in the sight of the hurried teenager.
  69.
  70. Before his smile seemingly materlised instantly, eyebrow raising towards the girl as he questioned her.
  71.
  72. "Is everything alright Del?"
  73.
  74. A quick searching gaze was thrown across her form, injuries specifically looked for as he replied towards Kofe's question, and yet his eyes never left Del's face.
  75.
  76. For it seemed she had something important to relay.
  77.
  78. "Iberl. Correct, that would perhaps be the most fitting for a future 'Lorespeaker'."
  79. (Pericles Vitalis)
  80. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  81.
  82. [23:42] How silly of them. Pericles spoke to someone- Nay, he gave a lesson of Leonaus to Kofe at this very moment. Their hurried actions were disrespectful entirely now- To interrupt a lesson like this.
  83.
  84. Del shook their head. Not intentionally to answer his question. Taking a few steps back, the young Deacon bowed their head towards the High Keeper and attempted to quickly make their way outside of the room, sleeve once more wiping at their eyes.
  85.
  86. Unless stopped or spoken to, the other two of their options would be searched for..
  87. (Del mer Joyau)
  88. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  89.
  90. [23:42] Del tries to yeet away...
  91. (Del mer Joyau)
  92. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  93.
  94. [23:43] Speed of light, engaged!
  95. (Pericles Vitalis)
  96. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  97.
  98. [23:45] Kofe nodded a few times to himself, merely observing Del's awkward in and out of the room. Pericles' pursuit was one he approved of. His shaken friend needed help, after all. Or so it looked.
  99. (Kofe)
  100. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  101.
  102. [23:49] The lesson was something he had given more times than he could remember, and so when a seemingly worried Del entered the prayer room all eyes were upon them.
  103.
  104. So how could he let them flee without allowing him to know what's on their mind.
  105.
  106. "Del. There's no need to leave, come take a seat and we can have a chat if you wish in private after I am done here. Or if it's not something needed in private you can speak freely."
  107.
  108. "I am still capable of listening even as a first connection to a star is being formed."
  109.
  110. Flashed, his form seemingly appearing in front of Del as he smiled towards the deacon with a soft tone held within, a hand flashing over towards the bench as he looked back towards Kofe.
  111.
  112. "Let's begin. Kofe will most likely be busy focusing on connecting to Iberl anyway."
  113.
  114. "So. First, enter a state you're most comfortable in. Prayer works for most of the faith, but I do not know ifyou're willing to do so yet, and so enter a meditative stance if you prefer."
  115.
  116. Pericles's lips were wet by his tongue as he started to speak once more, the codex that would normally be flipped over to a specific page was ignored in favour of preparing to speak to Del if required.
  117.
  118. For he didn't actually know how long it would take for Kofe to succeed.
  119.
  120. "Pull forth your mana from your soul, and begin to flood your magical circuits with such. Whilst doing so let your heartfelt pleas be sent towards the star of Iberl."
  121.
  122. "Form a phantasmal tether within your mind, and reach it towards the heavens. If it doesn't succeed, reinforce it. If that still is not enough for your pleas to be heard, reform the tether into roots of a tree and reach forth once more."
  123. (Pericles Vitalis)
  124. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  125.
  126. [23:53] Del froze once Pericles spoke up. They weren't fast enough to at least use 'not being able to hear' as an excuse. Besides, why run when they came here to speak?
  127.
  128. Rather reluctantly, the youth turned back around. Such an outburst would warrant at least a glance their direction. But two sets of eyes looked at them. Their head lowered as they went to sit on the bench, waiting for the lesson to conclude...
  129. (Del mer Joyau)
  130. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  131.
  132. [00:12] Perhaps waiting for his lesson to be done was going to help Del get through with whatever issue they were having at the time. And so, Kofe listened to the lesson that was being imparted to him. No more sermons, no more boring talk; action was the centerpoint of their focus now.
  133.
  134. "Any position I'm comfortable with?" He asked, only to go ahead and actually... get in a position that he most enjoyed. His legs went under him, crossed. His hands reached around his back for... his lute? It made sense, but it was far from a prayer. Perhaps it was relaxing to him, in some way.
  135.
  136. He slowly plucked at the strings, allowing his mana to well up within his body, to show some presence while he kept on focusing on the heavens above. He wasn't too sure... how to do it just yet, but he still tried. A few higher notes were struck, perhaps to try and allow his mana circuits to flood in a different way. To form a connection through what he knew best: A melody of the past.
  137.
  138. Heartfelt pleas, though these were through music rather than thoughts, or words. It was... pleasant, if anything. Though he wasn't nearly done. A tether with the skies above had yet to be made.
  139.
  140. Perhaps Iberl wished to observe.
  141. (Kofe)
  142. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  143.
  144. [00:16] Pericles's head nodded over towards Kofe in silence as they sent a question his way, before turning to take a seat beside Del with a soft smile curled on his lips.
  145.
  146. "Interesting." His eyes stayed on Kofe for a moment, before turning towards Del. An eyebrow rose in question for a moment, before a low whisper soon followed.
  147.
  148. And then attention was back towards the rhoynish teenager. The addition of a lute, and a song that was plucked away by his fingers had the High Keeper observing. It was definitely an interesting turn of events, a unique spin on communicating to the stars.
  149.
  150. The High Keeper waited, for sometimes it took longer than others would perhaps think for a person to finally get a reply back from the Constellation of Leonaus.
  151.
  152. The cosmic-codex within his grip was splayed across his lap on a specific page as he flipped through, attention shifting away from the focused Kofe and back towards Del as he awaited a reply.
  153. (Pericles Vitalis)
  154. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  155.
  156. [00:16] Pericles Vitalis whispers something.
  157. [00:18] Del mer Joyau whispers something.
  158. [00:18] Yani cos Queen says, "..."
  159. [00:18] Yani cos Queen says, "Sorry."
  160. [00:19] Del glances at Kofe, then to the floor...
  161. (Del mer Joyau)
  162. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  163.
  164. [00:30] A proper performance had to be given, after all. A song wasn't over until the last string finished vibrating. Kofe's focus had wavered away from Del's issues, from anything that troubled his mind. All that mattered right now was this private offering he was giving the heavens.
  165.
  166. At some point he began feeling something. A tug, or a pull of sorts. There was... something there. Something cool Something that embraced him and made him calm down a bit. Something that allowed him to sit back and enjoyed time as it was. A bond was formed, one he believed to be with Iberl.
  167.
  168. Kofe took a deep breath, allowing that bond to fortify itself through song, through a tale of old, one old enough it had lost its words, turned into nothing more than notes. Those notes would forever be etched upon that bond; the melody would hold it strong.
  169.
  170. Kofe finished strumming, a deeper, calm breath taken as he looked over to Pericles.
  171.
  172. "I think I've got it."
  173. (Kofe)
  174. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  175.
  176. [00:30] Del simply waits at this point. A conflicted gaze at the floor.
  177. (Del mer Joyau)
  178. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  179.
  180. [00:37] That cosmic spark of energy within the air was recognized, a familiar tint within the air as he hummed to himself in thought, head tilting to the side as he stared, waiting for confirmation.
  181.
  182. Which didn't take long, smile upon his lips as he threw a nod towards Kofe in approval as a verbal reply soon came.
  183.
  184. "Congratulations, Kofe. You took an interesting route to gaining a connection, something more personal to yourself."
  185.
  186. Pericles's index finger lightly drummed against his thigh as he thought for a moment, brow furrowing before he shifted his gaze towards Del, that sigh of confliction had a searching gaze peering towards the deacon for a mere second before it ceased.
  187.
  188. "Continue to refine the connection. A performance morning and night, and Iberl will continue to give. I must speak to Del here in private, but congratulations once again on your first step towards celestial power Kofe."
  189.
  190. "One moment."
  191.
  192. The High Keeper quickly rose from the bench, heading off towards one of the wings of the church for a few minutes before instantly returning, a cosmic codex held within his grip.
  193.
  194. Steps led him over towards Kofe, the book offered towards the rhoynish teenager before he turned to move back towards a seated position beside Del, once again his eyebrow rose in question towards them before he delved into silence.
  195.
  196. He'd give them plenty of time to compose themselves, and speak what was on their mind.
  197. (Pericles Vitalis)
  198. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  199.
  200. [00:40] Kofe took the codex that was offered to him, nodding to Pericles before he stood back up. He'd ask Del what all of that was about when they'd come around, after all. There had to be a reason they were so... scared. Or whatever it was.
  201.
  202. "I'll work on it."
  203.
  204. And so, he departed.
  205. (Kofe)
