  2. The Tobacco Industry is an age old industry. They started the journey at 1902 about 116 years ago. They are a British multi-national company whose headquarter is situated in London. It is the largest publicly traded tobacco company in the world. As a matter of fact, BAT has a market leading position in over 50 countries and operations in around 180 countries.This company's first factory in Bangladesh (the then East Pakistan ) was setup in 1949 at Fauzdarhat in Chittagong. In addition to that, in 1965 the second factory of Pakistan tobacco company went into production in Mohakhali, Dhaka 1212. The company became Bangladesh Tobacco Company Ltd in 1972 immediately after Bangladesh’s independence .In 1998, the company changed it’s name and identity to British American Tobacco Company Bangladesh. BAT Bangladesh is a part of British American Tobacco Ltd.

  6. Main missions of British American Tobacco is delivering their commitments to society, while championing informed consumer choice. It’s core objective of providing consumers with more choice, more innovation and potentially less risk will allow them to satisfy these consumers, addressing social concerns at large. They are able to achieve this through the growth of multiple categories of potentially reduce risk tobacco and nicotine products and provide a sustainable and profitable future for their shareholders.

Their consumers are everything for them and their success depends on consumers' preferences, concerns and behavior. They are focusing on providing a range of tobacco and nicotine products across the risk spectrum. They clearly know that if they want to win in this space, they need to understand their consumers first and invest according to them.
