OS-Tan compilation

The OS-tan is an Internet meme that originated within the Japanese Futaba Channel (Nijiura) around the 2000's. The OS-tan are the moe anthropomorphism/personification of several operating systems by various amateur Japanese artists. The OS-tan are typically depicted as women, with the OS-tan representative of Microsoft Windows operating systems usually depicted as sisters of varying ages. The -tan element in the term is a hypocoristic suffix from Japanese.

Though initially appearing only in fan work, the OS-tan proved popular enough that Microsoft branches in Singapore and Taiwan used the OS-tan concept as the basis for ad campaigns for Internet Explorer and Microsoft Silverlight, respectively.

The real OS-tan could be considered only those who emerged before Windows weaponized them for advertising (IE and Win7 tans) but I've decided to add some videos about them since they will get deleted in the next year due to inactive accounts anyways.

Once a OS-Tan is replaced, people used to edit a lot of goodbye videos in the past. Probably because they felt attached to those personas.

'My rendition of the OS Tan theme song. I got a bunch of recording equipment during the spring of 2005 and used it to record various things.
For this, I used two pencil-style condenser mics aimed at my Ovation acoustic guitar. One mic points to the sound-board and the other points to fret 12.
The song was originally composed by someone else and credit to the original song belongs to them, not me. I arranged and recorded the piece for 2 acoustic guitars.
Yes, I realize the tempo speeds up as the song goes, and that some of my entries aren't clean. It's a sketch! Gimme a break :P'
