After the death of the North Cardinal Nabu, Mirai runs on Snake Way to get to the West Cardinal home. Since Nabu didn't trained her enough she came to see Charis with the objectif to be her student and learn from her, her signature skill the Sage Mode. As the young Kitsune arrived she asked the Kaio to train her to protect the Living Realm when she'll be ready.

After Charis's order to learn Sage Mode, Mirai sits on the grass, looking around. She enters in mediation and closes her eyes. This calm around her was quite impressif, the wind blowing, the birds singing and the waterfall diving in the river. The young kitsune begins to focus on this energy, on the sounds around her, she focused so hard that for the first time, her fluffy tail stops moving, dropping on the grass, signs that Mirai entered in a deep meditation to train her sense of natural energy. Once her meditaion finished, the kitsune opens her eyes and turns her gaze toward Charis, smiling. It seems her meditaion was succesful. "F...for the first time...I sensed a peaceful energy...the most peaceful i never sensed..." she said.

Charis teached her how to mix the natural energy with her ki to create the Sage energy like she said and asked her student to try to create this energy to enter in Sage Mode. At this moment Mirai sits on the grass once again and begins to train on her energy mixing, she passed pain from overhelming energy, fears and frusturation. After many tries and 5 months of training, the kitsune finally attempted her final try with her master watching her.

Mirai closes her eyes again, sat on the soft and wet grass. She takes a deep breath and focus on her ki. She tries to identify how much ki she had in her body and sense the natural energy around her. She begins to infuse some energy inside of her, using the sounds of the wind, the nature and the waterfall and she finally had it. She made a perfect balance between ki and natural energy in her body, the two energy mixed automaticly to create a pefect sage energy inside of her. She opens her eyes and turns her gaze to Charis, smiling. "Did I succed?" she asked as her master nods to her. The last word of her training was to get used to the Sage Mode and stay with Charis until she was ready to be send i the Living Realm to fight evils.
